Author reviewing my own book. The first arc was fairly okay, nothing too good nor bad about it. Then it got messy around the second arc. The author then came to her senses in the third arc. So yeah, try the third arc if the messy snoozefest of a second arc annoys you.

When I do remember where I've mentioned it, I'll let you know! And expanding on the previous comment, there's different types of magic - demonic, the arcane, shifting, sacred, etc. I avoided explaining theory and history of magic because it otherwise gets too deep into what I considered unnecessary info.

if you've paid attention, you'll notice in previous chapters that I've mentioned the brothers being shifters. Also, shapeshifting in my world is genetic and doesn't rely on the type of magic that mages use.
