In case you were still wondering (or for anyone else curious), I believe it comes from the slang phrase “mack daddy”. Since the MC is using it to refer to a female, “daddy” was replaced with “mama”, thus “mack mama”. If you haven’t heard or seen that slang being used, here’s an excerpt from the merriam-webster online dictionary entry for “mack daddy”: mack daddy synonyms: 1. slang : a conspicuously successful pimp 2. slang : a slick womanizer 3. slang : one that is the best You’re welcome! d(^_~)b

Genuinely disappointed in this story. It started out good, imo, but honestly goes downhill fast once the 10,000 races are introduced. MC starts killing off entire races and crowd commentaters are instantly heard and responded to. Broad generalizations are made, indicating all sentients in a group are thinking/responding in the exact same way. Old humans are behaving like immature teenagers. Final straw for me was the MC killing, cooking and eating one of the 10,000 races in front of the area they all live. That whole scene is just too disappointing for me to continue investing my time in this story when there are tons of other stories better worth my time. Translation is okay, I’ve read a lot worse ones and bore with it for the story. World setting is decent and I like some of the side characters. So… overall, 2.5/5.0.

Really enjoyed this novel and would rate it between 4 (good) and 5 (excellent). Loved the characters, especially the MlL and FL. Translation quality was okay. The issue of pronoun gender confusion, which I see a lot in these translation, was quite prevalent and could have been easily caught and fixed by a decent proofreader or editor. I was genuinely confused at times with some of the more esoteric concepts… not sure if that was the fault of the novel, translation, or my brain. Nonetheless, I was able to immensely enjoy this novel and the highlight was really the character interactions.

Overall, I liked the novel and would rate it between a 3 (ok) and 4 (good). Translation quality was just okay. Characters were somewhat interesting, but most of them felt flat. I love the power-up genre and thought it was good right up until the end. The ending was meh. I’ve read some truly bad “ending” chapters and some really good ones as well. This one was kind of disappointing to be honest, but it did feel like an ending. The MC became really powerful just before the final mission, so you would expect an epic fight scene, but what you get is basically a one sentence summary. This made it feel like the author just didn’t care anymore and wanted to just be done; so there was the summarized final fight and some dialogue to leave the possibility of future story in this setting.

Overall, really enjoyed this novel. It kept me entertained and I actually laughed out loud multiple times. The ending felt really rushed, unfortunately, but it didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the novel. There are minor nitpicks I could point out, so I would say a 4.8 rating, but rounding up to 5 stars as my final rating.

To be honest, I enjoyed the story so far (40 chaps), but the English is mediocre at best. Every chapter has mistakes: inconsistencies in names, random letter capitalizations, etc. One of my pet peeves is the inconsistency of translation within the same chapter; for instance when the MC get’s his weapon, in one sentence it’s a shuriken and in another it is a sword. This is a translation in desperate need of a good editor or at least a proof reader. Looking past the mediocre translation and grammar, I would recommend it with caveats. With regards to some of the negative reviews I saw: I haven’t read the other “Global…” stories and 100x talent stories, but even if I had, I would suggest to read at least a few chapters before deciding this’s a copy/paste of others or trash. Two novels can have the same overall plot and cliches and one can be awesome while the other is trash; execution is everything. I would rate this novel as just okay: 3/5. Besides the numerous technical mistakes I mentioned above, there are also plot/concept holes in this story, but I was able to enjoy it despite all that. *shrug*

Quite good after the first arc. First novel in a long time that has given me chills of excitement and anticipation as I read it. Great mix of action and humor, albeit somewhat dark. Highly recommended.
