What an interesting suggestion. Personally really like the idea of a kinship network. It would be a spiritual version of Archie honestly. Personally would suggest making the totem a human though so all members can understand it and rather than family like the larkinson clan, have it focus on fellow humanity/professionalism/unified goal of human advancement (aka make everyone feel like a valued coworker who are working to help all of humanity become better). Maybe in the early days have a council of members to get things off the ground but have it be limited terms with the spirit being the tie breaker/final say

Definitely feel this is hypocritical considering she used “true mech” as an example without being willing to elaborate on details to allow counter arguments
