“Looked at the woman licking the snow cake under the tree not far away” There’s no way…. How do you translate “ice cream” into “snow cake”??
Jingdu and Kyoto are from the same two characters, just that the former is read in Chinese and the latter read in Japanese. it literally means “capital city” so it could technically be inferred to mean Beijing… so I guess all options are theoretically valid

I rather enjoyed this trial read, and hope it’ll pass for regular updates. I’ll not go into details, but it’s certainly a breath of fresh air since most popular novels seem to be of the Xianxia genre. If you enjoy mecha/exoskeleton and military sci-fi, but don’t want to think too deeply, then you’ll likely enjoy this as well. As there are only some 40 chapters at the time of writing this, my ratings are subject to change in the future.
