I think it's less angry yuri clowns and more that people just don't like Nan Tian and how Lyrica and co. were essentially sidelined, because even if he has that backstory with Shiro and has been written to be a "nice guy" he literally started off as some dude in his 20s who was stalking a girl who looked no older than like 13 and wouldn't leave her alone despite her obvious rejections and hate of him. For me personally, I don't care if she ends up with a different guy/girl/whatever but I'll be severely disappointed if its Nan Tian, the stalker pedo.

Saw the lyrica ship dieing coming with how hard Nan Tian, the stalker of 13 year olds, is being forced and how lyrica essentially ended up being ignored. Here's hoping Shiro ends up with some new yet revealed character, or really anyone who isn't a creepy stalker.
