Gameplay? Yeah, you are 100% spot on. The only prevalent thing that New Vegas did was the Iron Sights and making Death Claws actual death machines. But the story, dialogue, characters, and wild wasteland? Yeah, New Vegas nailed it. Considering the fact that there were tons of things cut and that Obisidian was limited to fallout 3 engine, then the fact that they could do all of this makes them way better than 'it just works' Bethesda.
After work, Leonard had stopped by the store and picked up the bundle containing Fallout 3, Fallout Newvegas, and Fallout 4. It was £20, so no big loss if he ended up hating them, if it was any pricier he might have just ignored it entirely though.
