I came into reading this with relatively low expectations, just hopIng for something to alleviate some boredom maybe. However i was immediately pleasantly surprised by this book, Yang Shan is one of my favorite protagonists from a book on this app, the characters are all pretty good and can always make me smile, canβt wait for more chapters.
I started reading it to pass the time thinking it was another trash system/cultivation manhwa but boy oh boy was i wrong, If i had to describe it in a word it would be βUniqueβ, the main character doesnβt have any ridiculous cheat abilites and even his system hates him and tries to impair him as much as possible, the only things he can rely on is his wits and cunningness, the art isnβt bad the story is pretty good, the comedy isnβt forced either. Overall 10/10 definetly one of the better manhwas out there, if given time itβll easily rank in the top 50 on this app at the very least.
The start of the comic may not be as interesting and may be seen as somewhat clichΓ© and hard to read, it sets up the foundation for the later parts of the story. The story is very amusing in my opinion, and a large amount of the actions that the MC carries out is not pointless, which is very satisfying to watch. The interactions between characters is also very nice to see. I strongly recommend this comic to anyone reading the reviews before trying the comic.
This is great it has a mc that at first seems weak with the crutches from the system however he seemingly has really neat tactics and also a fact that he is more like a villain is something that makes this more appealing and the fact that this being a comedy it feels so unique I eould def give a read if you wanna see someone defy all odds with their wits that is also a comedy
I didnβt really have much expectations for this but itβs actually pretty awesome! (And coming from an avid reader with a distaste for cringy and cheesy stories, thatβs high praise.) The characters are likeable, funny and easy to root for, but also determined, strong and intriguing in their own way. Yang Shan is so stubborn itβs funny and so determined that I canβt help but admire him a little when Iβm not laughing. His plans are ridiculous but not overly unreasonable and everyone elseβs reactions to them are hilarious (especially Bai Xiaoqi). Mani does feel a bit cliche, especially with the earlier contradiction about her wanting to bed him immediately before she even got to know him when one of her flashbacks revealed sheβd thought the opposite earlier, but overall sheβs not bad. Bai Xiaoqi has to be one of my favourite characters in the whole series so far - heβs strong and very morally grey but all of his seriousness gets chucked out of the window when faced with the storm thatβs Yang Shan. (also I kind of kin with Green sheβs awesome) Overall, Reborn As A Dog has a lighthearted, fun feel and uses tropes without making them seem too cheesy. The plot is easygoing and entertaining and the characters are highly comedic and likeable. And it updates five times a week!
