34 Chapter 26~WHERES Phoenix!?~

Karmaria jumped out from her -not really hidden- hiding place and hugged Nix "Oh my god where have you been!! You moved away and never came back or really visited!"

The girl that looked like Phoenix was now a gray tomcat-looking girl and hugged Karmaria back, Nix did not talk but only looked Karmaria in the eyes -as much as she could with a mask on- and Karmaria gasped and covered her mouth.

"Phoenix told you to cover for her today? I knew she sounded too cheery too quickly, do you know where she is now?"

Nix shrugged and hawks finally coughed a bit and Karmaria jumped a bit. "Oh sorry! Hawks this is Nix, Nix this is hawks"

Nix looked at him and stood up then took her hand out, hawks shook her hand and Nix turned into Hawks for a second but he quickly let go.

"It's like looking into a mirror geez"

Karmaria laughed "that's how she says hello, she doesn't like talking"

Hawks tapped the mask, "by the way what's with the mask?"

Karmaria tried to warn him but Nix had already grabbed his hand and spoke for the first time within this hour, "ne touche pas á mon masque"

(Don't touch my mask)

And to make sure she didn't sound rude she added "s'il Vous plaît" (please)

Hawks pulled his hand away as Nix let go and looked confused, Karmaria quickly translated "oh and she's French she said don't touch my mask please"

"Ah ok uuuh can you translate?"

Karmaria nodded and hawks said "Sorry for touching your mask"

"Désolé de toucher ton masque" (sorry for touching your mask)

Nix nodded at hawks and he smiled. "So should we go find Phoenix or give her some space because she probably just wants space"

Karmaria nodded "that could be it but I'll text her just in case" as Karmaria was about to text her she saw a message from last night that Phoenix sent and that Karmaria didn't hear a ring for, she read it out loud.

"Hey I'm not going to school today but you'll never know who I saw last night when I snuck off to the store, you'll find out later but I'm not feeling well so I'll be flying and exploring thinking about...stuff so please don't look for me- Love you"

Karmaria smiled but then frowned "she normally does multiple texts instead of one long one...I hope she isn't lying"

"And I hope she's ok"
