1 Thief

Running. I feel the cold wind on my face.

No, not cold but freezing.

It's winter. It's so cold that the ground froze, making it slippery, and the grass turned into little ice spikes that hurt my paws.

My thin clothes didn't protect me at all,but I kept running.

I had to, otherwise they would catch me.

"HE'S GETTING AWAY! SOMEONE CATCH HIM! QUICK!"

When I heard the voice, fear struck through my body.

How did they get so close? aren't they on their seventys? I'm literally running 58 kilometers per second right now!

But I didn't have much time to think.

A shadow quickly started to form above me.

Subconsciously, I dodged it jumping to the right.

I looked back. It was a fishing net. No wait...excuse me? is that a diamond net? are you kidding me? where the hell did you get that from?

Just as when I was thinking, something felt strange.

The air suddenly felt heavier. The snow and ice on the ground became thicker. The trees became more and more colorful, like a warning to never get closer.

I ran faster.

They might be at advantage on the Tundra, but the mountains were my territory.

I quickly climbed a stone arrow to avoid the fallen trunks and rocks scattered around the ground. There were lots of arrows on this part of the mountains. You could easily jump from one to another, but you would have to be able to climb them first.

The rock arrows, commonly known as Dark Waves, were made of crystallized obsidian, a rare ore that was almost unbreakable and smooth as cream. To climb the arrows, you would have to either be able to jump 10 meters high or have extra sharp claws. Thankfully, I have both.

The creatures following me were having a hard time trying to keep the pace and looked like they were on the verge of givin up.

Just like I predicted, after falling and hitting her head on the ground, the lider shouted:

"IF YOU COME STEAL FROM OUR VILLAGE AGAIN I SWEAR IM GONNA DISMANTLE YOU USE YOUR SKIN AS A FUCKING RUG!"

Vicious as always.

As I went deeper into the mountains, jumping from arrow to arrow, the surroundings became more hard to distinguish because of the snow.

In just some kilometers the landscape was fading away.

It looked like an infinite white desert.

Normal creatures wouldn't be able to survive on a place like this, where there is no water nor food. But he wasn't a normal creature to begin with.

After jumping down from the last stone arrow, I started searching on my bags. There were 4 of them on total, all filled with junks and trinkets, and some with food and cloths.

Gosh, why didn't I organize these things.....

*Searching sounds*

Not on this one....not this one eith-

"OUCH!...WHY THE HELL IS THERE A CRAB HER-Oh, found it"

a compass was revealed from one of the bags.

it had a square shape, made out of gold and emeralds. Quite a beautiful thing, though the blood inside it looked a little scary. Just a little.

Following the north, a path made of crystals started to make its way between the snow.

I couldn't feel my fingers for some time now.

The weather was getting worse each second.

Just as I felt I would be frozen alive, the path stopped suddenly.

When I lifted my head, a giant concrete wall stood before me. It didn't look like a natural thing, being all dull gray without texture.

I touched the strange surface.

Felling the cold on my toe beans, something inside me spread from my "heart", throught my arm till it hit the wall.

It was then,

*Crack*

a sound came from the wall.
