Chapter 5

School canteen!

On arriving at the school canteen, Candy immediately went to buy fish roll for a hundred francs and was waiting on the others to finish purchasing their own stuffs. Daniel glanced at her, shook his head and went on buying. After they were done, they found an empty class and sat inside to eat. Claris suddenly asked "Daniel why did you purchase so much food? Will you be able to consume all these?" Daniel smiled and replied "Not sure but I have you guys. I guess we'll have to eat together". Claris lanced at him suspiciously but said nothing. Not long ago two girls entered the hall said "We've been looking for you guys for a very long while".

I'm sure you guys will be wondering who these two girls are. Remember I said Candy had fewer friends. I didn't say zero friends. Yes they're called Jenny and Carol. Although not very wealthy but they are well off and they treat Candy really well Candy doesn't like accepting help from others. They glanced at Daniel and asked "since when did you start having male friends? And a handsome boy at that" They're not aware of what is going on in school since they didn't start school on the first day.

They all had their lunch and left for the next class. They were about entering the class when they were blocked by Claire and her lackeys. Claire is I would say the self-proclaimed richest girl in class. She likes things being done her way, uses people because she has money to offer. As good as it may seem she is actually lazy and I would say not the smart type. She thinks she doesn't need to stress or have good grades since her parents are rich. She just needs to come to school to flaunt her wealth. Mind you she isn't the richest in class.

Claire stopped in front of Daniel and said "Hey handsome. Would you love to sit with me?" Daniel didn't respond, bypassed her and went to class. She immediately got pissed off and said awful things about Candy "I think you walking with Candy because you still don't know who she really is. She's a very poor girl that puts on very old clothes to school and barely even have what to eat in a day. Don't be deceived by her intelligence. By the way as a girl if you can't look good are you still considered one? I bet she's probably close to you because she thinks you're not poor and want to make good use of you." After saying all this Daniel replied without even glancing at her "thank you for the information. I'll have that in mind". Claire smiled triumphantly while looking at Candy as if to say "you are back to your own small world". Candy entered the class alongside her friends ignoring Claire and her crew. Candy was about to bypass Daniel when he dragged her to sit beside him and whispered "just pretend as if she said nothing." They both smiled and Claire was actually not looking good. Her friends had to console her for a long time for her to feel better. The French lecturer soon entered the class.
