Asking for help

Shoto and Ryan got into the house. Lawhey was trying out some of Heltons inventions. The moment Shoto walked in Helton apologized for the actions of Smithsonian.

Helton saw Shoto's bright red scales and asked.

"When was the last time you shed?"

"Shed", Shoto said looking confused.

"You mean you haven't shed before. Dragon must shed, for instance, if you had shed your scales, you would have reproduce a much stronger one."

Helton touch Shoto's nape, suddenly the scales retracted and the room was filled with gas. Shoto immediately closed it, he opened the windows to let the gas out. Everyone was passed out, Shoto was surprised. He didn't know how Helton retracted his scales. He waited for them to gain consciousness. He killed time looking at Heltons inventions.

When they woke up, Helton took him outside, with a mask on, he told Shoto to retract his scales. This time he did for minutes, the wind blew the gas away.

They went back inside, it was the only the first time any of them had seen his chest.

"it seems, since you didn't shed, your body has adapted. I'm not sure you can shed now, I'll have to pull the scales out", Helton said.

Helton then didn't understand something, he had been wondering and decided to ask.

"Ryan, why did you inhale the gas?"

"What do you mean, I didn't decide to, I just did", Ryan said.

Lawhey was still feeling the effects of the gas. He was dosing off. Shoto had prepared himself for the scales to be removed.

"I'm ready", he said to Helton.

"For?", Helton asked Shoto as he examined Ryan. He placed his hand beneath Ryans nostrils.

"For you to remove my scales", Shoto said.

"Relax, it'll take days maybe months.", Helton said.

He asked Ryan about changes he has noticed. Ryan told his all he could, including his space jump.

"Don't forget the anger pang.", Shoto said.

"Anger pang?", Helton asked.

"Yes, Red eyes mouth foaming and he was very aggressive.", Shoto reported.

"Wait you were alive, I think all those things are be connected. Zombie do not know how to process emotions. They interpret everything as anger. As for your space jump it's your necromancer side, it triggered the activation. At least it tried to when you jumped", Helton explained.

"I don't remember anything like that, the red eyed and foaming. How do I control it, assuming it will happen again.", Ryan said.

"I'm at fault, I should have at least helped you understand yourself. Before I sent you away, I'll be willing to train you. Only if you'll let me", Helton said.

"I'll love that", Ryan said, the Lawhey woke up.

"What going on", Lawhey asked.

"School is in section", Shoto said smiling at Lawhey.
