Oliver noticed how calm his surroundings were. He could not hear the growling sounds of zombies nearby nor the sounds of crumbling buildings. He clenched his fists and tried to calm his emotions before slowly opening his eyes. He stared at the familiar ceiling and abruptly stood up and looked around the room.

He clearly remembered being surrounded by zombies before losing consciousness. At that time, he was carrying a box and was walking with his teammates towards their car when they saw a wave of zombies

running in their direction. Some of the zombies ran fast while the others shambled slowly dragging their bodies towards them.

Oliver watched the approaching zombies in horror. He tried to run away from the zombies but was accidentally tripped and surrounded by some of the zombies while the other ran in the direction of his teammates.

Oliver frantically looked around, hoping that one of his teammates would rescue him but his view was blocked by the gruesome appearance of those zombies; their skin was rotten and their discolored eyes were glaring at him. He could feel beads of sweat rolling down his face. He knew that he could not survive this time. He closed his eyes in despair and thought of the last wish and that was just to have a last glimpse of HIM.

He regretted going out in the base. He should have just stayed and waited for him in the base but he knew that there was no regret medicine in the world.

Oliver opened his eyes and tried to escape but before he could even lift a finger, he felt pain in his arm like it was beaten; panic crept in his heart and he didn't know what to do. His vision was slowly fading and all he could hear was growling sounds around him and the sound of the car running away from the place. Before completely losing consciousness and scared of becoming one of them, he gathered his remaining strength and hurriedly shot his head with the gun he was carrying.

Oliver could feel the softness of where he was lying. He was baffled and recalled the hard ground where zombies pounced on him. He suddenly heard the sound of an airplane passing by which brought him back to reality. He slowly opened his eyes and saw a familiar room where he stayed before the apocalypse. He breathed a sigh of relief, walked towards the window, and opened its curtains. He saw the airplane flying in the sky. Then he looked at the streets and saw some vehicles passing by. There were only a few people outside and some of them were carrying food with smiles on their faces. Oliver hoped that a peaceful day like this would last forever.

Did I just return in time? The time when everything was still peaceful. He closed the curtain and decided to check the calendar but just as he was about to move, he felt an intense pain in his head. He could not help but shut his eyes tightly. He sat back in his chair and was startled when he suddenly lost his balance and sat on the floor. Oliver hurriedly stood up and patted his pajamas. He breathed a sigh of relief when the pain in his head subsided but he was shocked when he saw a large area in front of him. He was in an unfamiliar place. He looked around and saw no plants or animals. It was a large place with nothing in it. Just the clear blue sky and the land he was stepping on. He could also feel the cool breeze touching his skin.

Oliver decided to touch the ground and found out how dry the soil was with some small rocks and pebbles in it. He looked at his surroundings once again and remembered that during the apocalypse, some people had special abilities. Others could produce water and some could bend metal. These people with special abilities were sought after by the leaders of different teams especially the people with water ability since the source of clean water was scarce.

Aside from those people with metal and water abilities, there were also other people blessed with special abilities like fire and space which was also very useful when the team went out to look and gather for some materials.

Is this my own space? Did I awaken an ability? Oliver could clearly remember that in his past life, he didn't have any ability or strength. He just relied on his instincts and forced his way into one of the strongest teams during the apocalypse. Although the leader of the team was kind to him and didn't make his life miserable, the other members would command him by cleaning their shoes or weapons.

Oliver was so excited about the discovery of space and fantasized about what to put in it. Oliver decided to stroll around the place but no matter how far he walked, there was nothing in it. He looked at the ground and was a bit disappointed in its condition. Can I plant in here? Oliver sadly thought. I should do some research on what seeds to buy. Better pick those plants that can survive in dry soil. Oliver took a deep breath and his mood became better.

I would buy lots of seeds! Then, store lots of water! Don't forget about food and daily necessities. He looked around and thought, I should also build a small hut in here. I'm so lucky ah! I did not only get reborn but I also have my own space! Yes! This is my space!

Oliver was reluctant to leave the space because he wanted to fully explore it. He was hoping that he could discover something special in it like what he had heard from his teammates who encountered some people with space ability. According to his teammates, some of those people have a special source of water in the space, a person can drink it and feel energized. Others can store food in their space and the food would not rot and would remain fresh for a long time.

Oliver was looking forward to the day he would discover something in his space. He decided to return and check the date to start his preparation. He excitedly opened his eyes and went to see his calendar. He took a deep breath and was frozen when he saw the date.

What the?!

The imagination is so good but the reality is so cruel.
