1 A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE?!

I pressed the brakes and parked the car near the garden's edge, where nobody could find us. After putting the wheels on standby, the automobile's sound came to a stop. My partner agreed to come with me to this environment, even telling me I should bring protection.

I asked, "Why do we need protection? Who's going to kill us?"

Little did I know what my girlfriend meant… was a goddamn condom.

Well, since we threw a hundred parties in our house, the two of us wanted something new.

After waiting for eighteen years, I could finally call myself a man with experience tasting the heaven that god forbade. I even drank some shady pills just to make myself grow, and it remained growing until I dropped.... You know, the thing down there. There were advertisement everywhere, so I took the bait! Lesson learned, my four-inch dragon should be enough to pleasure her. Then again, I might be wrong.

"Hey, baby. Do you want to…. you know?!" I whispered, and scooched my body near her. "We could do something... naughty? Since no one's around, we could, uhm. I also bought a metallic bottle filled with beer! Maybe you'd like it!"

'I SAID IT! I FUCKING FINALLY SAID IT!' I finally steeled my heart and told my girlfriend about sex… or hinted her about it.

"Metallic bottle of beer? Come on, you're kidding right?!" my girlfriend replied, as she locked the door. "You can use that as a dildo and put it inside me."

Ah, screw it. I cannot take this anymore.

I widened my eyes upon witnessing her reaction. My girlfriend continuously stroked the bottle of beer as if it was my dragon. But my partner snatched the extra metal ale on the back and slurped the big bad down within seconds.

However, something shimmered in her eyes. My girlfriend had an original plan as she wrapped her hands around me and went on my lap. She playfully roamed her soft fingers around my hips, teasing me with her touch. All the cells inside my body jumped with joy, with my Excalibur rising from the two jiggling stones.

"You're funny. Even though you're the most handsome person in the world, you don't know sex?"

"I do!" I croaked, and was flattered by what she had described to me. However, it was true. I didn't get it why, but ladies tended to chase me down as if they were the predator and I was their prey, thanks to my chiselled face and my six-packed abs from working out. "But I don't know if we could do it…. I might do something very horrifying and… become a dad."

"Kiss me….," she replied, and closed the distance. "Kiss me like your French girls."

'I CAN FINALLY DO THIS! DON'T FUCK THIS UP, KAWAI Fukuyo' my mind screamed, while thinking of lewd thoughts before I could even thrust my stick down to the hole.

Those who heard my thoughts did not have any illnesses in their ears. My parents named me because of the sickest reason…. I looked cute as a baby. That was it. Well, that did not matter for now.

But before I could even taste the sweet heavenly lips of my girlfriend, something had vibrated inside my pockets. I wanted to ignore the annoying quiver in my thighs, but that gadget never ceased from calling my attention.

"Just a sec…. It could be my mom."

After excusing myself from our passionate kiss, I took my goddamn phone and checked the flashing messages. My fingers nearly cracked the glass screen while I slowly lost my mind. But I calmed my senses and told myself that everything was going to be alright. And after a few seconds, I could finally place my seed to this fine lady.

However, as luck would have it, the problems kept coming one after the other.

"Evacuation? Not a drill? And a fucking zombie apocalypse?" Those were the words my eyes glimpsed at the messages. It was absurd to trust it.

While reading the document sent by the government, another notification appeared before me. The battery icon on the upper right corner of my screen blinked dark red, with a 5% written beside it.

"And I'm already low on battery…. Fuck," I mumbled, thinking that this could bite me later. "Honey, did you bring your charger?"

"It's at the back of the trunk. You won't miss it," my girlfriend replied.

According to the message, the government couldn't contain the virus and spread it from their laboratories. Since all the countries included from the United Nations took part in the work, the spread of this unknown infection became inevitable. The government concealed the details from the warning messages, considering the mistake they made to their people.

Since the situation became dire, the government alerted everyone to evacuate to the nearest military base. They did not look like it, but the Japanese embassy and all the United Nations prepared for this crazy crisis of some sort. And the zombie apocalypse was not new to their bucket list.

The more I thought about the happenings, the more my mind grew dubious about the text message. However, that was not the end. Upon sliding my applications and opening my social media accounts, the news spread like wildfire. All the netizens tweeted and posted to their feed about the zombie apocalypse. Some of them were taking live videos, while the rest became pawns for others to survive.

"No way…. There's really a zombie apocalypse happening in the streets!" my girlfriend announced, with her eyes bulging from her eyelids.

She pointed her forefinger at the city, with her eyes gaped open. Upon glancing in front of the glass, the scenes definitely changed.

Instead of civilians going home to their houses, those people devoured each other like hungry cannibals. Blaring sounds of screams echoed through our ears, despite sitting at an elevated site. Some police officers and military rescue teams pulled the trigger and killed those who had already turned into monsters.

As stated in the message, these transformed people were beyond help when they became zombies. Although the scientists claimed they were creating a cure, the officials stated we could defend ourselves from zombie attacks. It only meant that we had the right to kill any zombies standing in our way.

As I shifted my view towards my right, countless cars let out their siren. Those cars did not wait for any traffic lights to change, since this occurrence meant life or death to them. They continued bumping against each other as if playing in a carnival.

Some cars headed in our direction, looking for civilians unaffected by the virus. Among those military trucks were soldiers and doctors observing the area. Around a few minutes, those automobiles would eventually arrive in our place.

My girlfriend and I would be one of those people if we dated inside the city. Since we chose this place, we were far from the horrors happening below ground.

"Those things…. are zombies, right? It's like from the movies…. They eat those people like nothing..." my girlfriend squealed, while jerking backwards. "Babe, we need to get out of here!"

As soon as my girlfriend suggested those words, something pushed the car forward. Those gunshots coming from below drove the two of us into the corner. If my memories served me right, those zombies would follow the sound's origin.

And that gunshot could attract more zombies from the woods from where we had parked our car. Even though I parked my wheels on the cliff's edge, those zombies could trample the car with their numbers, leading to our deaths.

I did not want that to happen.

"Babe, calm down. I have a plan. There are military trucks heading in our way. We just need to exit this car or use this car to follow their lead," I suggested, while holding her hand.

"Okay, Kawai…. Okay…. L-Lead the way," my girlfriend answered, and returned my grasp.

Upon glancing behind, three famished undead banged their heads and arms at my trunk. It was what everyone would expect in a zombie apocalypse….

Those zombies had their skin peeled off like a rotten banana, with blood oozing from their pores. Each undead had bulging eyes glaring at two distinct places at once, while some did not have optic organs at all. They even had their abdomens peeking through their body as if their intestines had a mind of their own. If I could squint my eyes and focus on the zombie's stomach, there were tiny parasites wiggling in-and-out from their bodies.

Some zombies who had injured their legs limped towards our car. However, those who had no injuries from their thighs sprinted like an athlete claiming the Olympic cup. Every zombie present behind our automobile had their eyes focused on our figure. I could only guess that these bastards heard my girlfriend when she raised her voice, paired with the gunshots from the city.

Those walking corpses had no brains, but used their instincts to keep themselves alive.

There were actually four zombies lurking behind the car. But that wandering undead did not mind attacking our haven. Upon squinting my eyes, my mind came to a realization.

I heeded my partner's advice and hit the reverse, hoping I could run these bastards down. However, these zombies had the strength of a dozen mammoths as they withstood my car's weight and force.

"Babe, are you even trying?! H-Hit the gas so we can get out of here!" my girlfriend cried, while pushing my shoulders back and forth.

"I'm trying!" I croaked, while hitting the gas with everything I had. "It's not working, babe! Those zombies are just like trucks!"

The zombies finally ended their fun as they went towards the car's door. These zombies lacked the capacity to think, since they had corrupted viruses or parasites or whatever's digesting their bodies. But they were no fools when it came to hunting living beings alive on this planet.

"Babe, lock the door!" I shouted.

However, it was too late.

My girlfriend froze in place as she watched the zombie enter the car. But after pinching myself, I lunged straight towards my girlfriend and shielded her from the undead's attack. I elbowed the asshole's face backwards and shut the door tight with all the remaining strength inside of me. I did not care what would happen to me as long as I could keep my partner safe.

After protecting the love of my life, I went towards my girlfriend and checked her for any wounds. Fortunately, my partner did not have any injuries covering her body.

However, my eyes caught a glimpse of two holes drenched with crimson liquid. It was, without a doubt, a bite mark from the zombie I slammed outside. The teeth of that undead pierced through my skin while I pushed him from the car.

"Hey, babe... babe…. I'm scared..." My girlfriend snapped me out from spacing out as she wrapped her arms around my body. "I don't want to die."

"I don't want you to die either…. Don't worry, babe," I reassured, and kissed her forehead. "You will survive, okay? You can get through this."

I immediately hid my arm from my girlfriend's eyes, wishing she did not notice my wound. Luckily for me, my girl was more focused on the zombies banging outside than my swollen arms.

If I had crunched the numbers, my body temperature rose to around 39 degrees Celsius. And that heat continued elevating at every second while fighting these zombies. My eyes also spun around as if dancing with the willow trees.

But despite these disadvantages, I kept my head on the game. I planned on saving my girl and placing her in a safer place than here, even if it would cost me my life. And if I planned on doing that, I needed to create some time so that the military trucks could arrive at this place.

My girlfriend and I did not have any weapons in hand. Even if we searched for the entire car, there was nothing inside, except a bag of chips and….

"Beer?" I mumbled, with sparkling eyes.

It was a bottle of beer made of metal, which I bought earlier. I introduced this ale before we could do something naughty with my girlfriend. However, with these zombies around, we would have to delay our reproduction.

As I glanced at the rear window, the military truck rushed forward without a care for the world. If we continued idling around inside this car, the rescue team might leave us to die. Since those people did not want to risk anyone inside, those soldiers and doctors would kick me away if they noticed my wound.

After seizing the bat, my wound on my right thigh went against me. The throbbing pain resonated through my other muscles, hindering me from moving. A thousand beads of sweat drenched my face as I held back my urge to scream. My hands gripped the nearest metal bar and forced my focus on that material.

Lucky for me, the excruciating pain wore off, letting me walk and stand again from the car's seat. If that experience carried on, I might have already turned into one of them.

But I can never know if that sensation would remind me soon, especially if I planned on protecting my girlfriend.

A hand tapped my shoulder, which removed my worries about the resurfacing pain. As I turned around, my girlfriend's worried eyes addressed mine, wondering my inner thoughts clouding my mind.

"Is everything alright, Kawai?" she asked.

I gave her a nod and answered, "Yes... Of course. Come on, darling. Are you ready?"

"I don't know if I can't, Kawai…. I'm scared."

"I am too…. But we need to do it…. You need to get over that truck….," I mumbled, while holding the other door. "On the count of three…. One... two…"

My girlfriend finally agreed to my scheme as she followed my lead. And before I could even count to three, I opened the door and smacked the zombie blocking the entrance. I got out of the car and dragged my girlfriend behind me, protecting her with the plated container.

The force from my hit made the zombie kiss the ground, paired with a clamorous thud. Despite falling on the floor, the undead pursued me and grabbed my feet. But before the zombie could even bite my toe, my girlfriend jolted into action and kicked the zombie's ass…. literally and figuratively.

She stomped the zombie's head and squashed him using her heel, killing the infected human being. When my partner was about to weep a river, I pinched her waist and told her to focus. After a few seconds, she returned to her usual self and looked around.

"Get your head on the game, babe!" I shouted, with my eyes glued on the approaching military truck. "They're coming!"

The four-wheels were a few metres away from us, since they took the longer road. They also kept watching the streets from afar, looking for any survivors that the rescuers could collect before progressing. Despite the distance, that truck became visible to our eyes. It won't take a few moments before that rescue team arrives.

However, that glitter of light from the tunnel came at a price. Upon gyrating at my behind, a horde of zombies appeared behind the trees. They were the undead that got lured from the sound shot below the city. And since the military truck kept shooting their guns, the blaring sounds definitely charmed these cannibal bastards.

"Don't look back, babe! We need to run, right now!" I shouted, and snatched my partner's hand.

I hauled my girlfriend over to the side and went straight towards the rushing truck in our direction. The driver raised their alarms as they witnessed the two of us running against the automobile.

But before we knew it, there were more zombies climbing on the cliff, while others appeared at the sides. The soldiers did not want to open fire at our figures, since they could hit us with their bullets.

"Honey, what do we do?" my girlfriend asked, as she went beside me.

I clenched my fist while thinking of a route that my girlfriend could stride. However, no matter how hard my mind thought, the only way she could make that horde was forward. And someone should distract the zombies from chasing her.

"Run as fast as you can. Whatever you do…. Don't look back. I'll be behind you... I promise."

After saying those words, my girlfriend nodded and rushed forward. She heeded my instructions and never looked back.

My brain produced mixed emotions about this occurrence, since I had just had my last conversation with my girlfriend.
