1 Genesis

"W-wait I've changed my mind," A black-haired teenager said with clear horror on his face as he tried his best to back away from the figure that walked towards him in an unearthly manner.

This person was named Ryan, he was a high schooler who for the past 18 years of his life has been treated like a piece of shit by society.

Anything he did was wrong in the eyes of others, as his mates were humiliated when he tried to stand out making him become a shadow.

He had given up on life and had wanted to end his life but he was too much of a weakling to do it.

A few days ago, a zombie apocalypse had occurred. Most of the people in the neighborhood had secured their homes or fled but Ryan had let a zombie into his home seeing it as an opportunity to end his life but now he had changed his mind.

"I-I don't want to die anymore!" He declared and the zombie paused for a moment as if shocked by his words before pouncing on him.

Immediately it bit his neck and as though his flesh were cooked meat it easily tore and the zombie began munching on it.

"Ah!" He screamed as he used his hands and pushed the zombie away, he quickly stood up and made his way towards his kitchen.

'Knife!' The word kept rephrasing in his head as he searched for a knife while holding down the injury on his neck with his palm to keep blood from leaking out.

"Rarh!"

Upon hearing the irritating shout of the zombie coming from just behind him Ryan immediately began scattering everywhere until he eventually found it.

He then turned and saw the zombie walking faster than it previously did but he was prepared this time as he rushed towards the zombie pinned its neck down and immediately began stabbing its head indiscriminately until it was motionless.

"Ha... Ha...Ha..." Ryan breathed heavily as he immediately rushed towards his room and searched inside his first aid kit for some disinfectant to clean the injury.

Immediately after cleaning it, he went towards his front door and a chair in front of it to barricade it, he then went to the kitchen and did the same with the back door.

After barricading his home he went to the kitchen and began inspecting the body of the zombie.

"Huh" He let out as his body fell hard on the ground, his view was blurry and dim. His breath was deep as his consciousness slowly faded.

"Ugh," Ryan groaned in pain as he moved his arm to his upper left shoulder where he was bitten earlier.

"What the hell happened?" He questioned but he didn't expect a reply as he slowly raised himself from the floor.

[System is now fully functional]

[Welcome back host]

[Objective, annihilate humanity]

"..." Ryan was speechless at this point as he slowly made his way towards the toilet and when he had reached he looked into the mirror.

"Ahhh!" He screamed wildly as he attempted to backward from the mirror but ended up falling his butt.

'Was that me in the mirror?' Ryan questioned himself as he slowly stood up only to meet the same figure in the mirror.

His appearance was so horrifying that he would have vomited but he felt unnaturally calm.

His sink was now gray and was looking decayed, his face wasn't deformed like the other zombies but his eyes were now hazel and his teeth felt enlarged and stronger.

Only now did Ryan understand what the message that was relayed to him earlier meant, he was a zombie and now his mission was to destroy humanity.

Although he detested his race he couldn't imagine himself eating his species or ex.

[Warning! If you do not consume human flesh in the next 24 hours you will die... Permanently!]

"Tsk, you should have just let me die the first time" Ryan lamented as he slowly exited the toilet and made his way towards the sitting room door.

He removed the barricade and unlocked it before slowly walking outside, he paused as he looked at the outside world in shock.

The scent of death could be found lingering in the air as smoke coming from crashed vehicles filled the air, and figures could be seen walking about in an unearthly either pursuing stray humans or standing in a single spot.

"This seems rather refreshing" Ryan mumbled as he walked out of his home and into the chaos.
