14 Guardian Lion

"This is the forest?" Jordan looked at the trees off in the distance. He was riding on top of Hugo, the latter changing his height to be 2 meters tall.

The system had helped, opening a map in front of Jordan and showing the direction to the closest forest. The forest was dark, filled with bushes and trees. It looked almost the same as the level-5 Dungeon: The Forest Of Red-Eyed Rabbit except that the trees weren't too large.

Hugo walked into the forest and they both immediately became alert.

'There are a lot of beasts in the surroundings but all of their levels are low.'

Hugo was now running through the forest at a fast pace, going farther away from the entrance of the forest.

Hugo then slashed his large claws through the body of an unbelievably large mouse.

'Convert into a crystal.'

[Converting... Successful]

[Congratulation on getting a white-tier crystal]

"White? That's it? Actually, never mind... It was only level 6."

More of the mouse started to appear from behind the trees and it was more annoying to deal with than Jordan thought.

Hugo then ignored the mouse and continued to run through the forest. There were a few times when Hugo was so annoyed that he killed the beast by shredding its skin completely with his large claws. Hugo nonetheless kept running forwards as per his master's command.

The beasts varied in size. Some were large while others were small. Some were completely ridiculous-looking beasts.

Soon, Jordan noticed that the beasts had stopped coming. It had been a whole 10 seconds and beasts usually came in sight within the first 5 seconds but there were no beasts till now. Noticing the strange phenomenon, Jordan told Hugo to stop.

"Hugo, wait." Hugo immediately dropped running, noticing that the beasts weren't coming as well.

Suddenly, a large roar erupted from afar. Hugo and Jordan immediately became alert. Jordan jumped back down on the ground with a frown. Taking the Moon Sword out of the inventory, Jordan prepared for a battle.

A lion had appeared given both of them. It was just a normal lion aside from being at least two times taller than the normal height of a lion. There was the word 'Guardian Lion ' written in red color.

[HP: 150,000(Affect of a beast Boss)]

'150 thousand?!' It had caught Jordan off-guard. The HP of the boss was vastly larger than the boss of the level 5 dungeon and the level 9 Zombie.

The lion and Hugo were having a growling contest, both looking at each other with anger in their eyes.

[Moon Slash]

Jordan disappeared away from his original position and appeared closer to the Lion, he then swung the Moon sword, aiming for the neck. However, the Lion disappeared from Jordan's view. The {Moon Slash} kept going forward and clashed against a tree, effortlessly making it fall to the ground.

Quickly turning around, he could see the lion's claws just inches away from his face. But before the claws could make contact with his face...

*Clang!*

The Moon Sword turned into a spear, its height had suddenly increased which caught the lion off guard. The spear had searched through the shoulder of the lion making it hiss in pain.

'System, add all the points to Dexterity. This lion is... Too fast...'

Originally, the Dexterity was only 30, but because of the 'Frost Ring' he had obtained from the boss rabbit, the dexterity had increased to 40 points. And then, Jordan used all of his remaining points right now, adding them all to make the Dexterity extremely high that it even made him surprised at his own speed.

Jordan paused, feeling something land in his hand. Looking down, he could see it was a snowflake. Suddenly, a large number of snowflakes appeared out of thin air, but Jordan didn't have a worried look on his face.

The lion looked confused, looking here and there as if the snowflakes had made it unable to see. This was Hugo's skill {Snowstorm}.

It had blinded the Lion and its senses as well which caused the lion to look around in confusion.

-400 -400 -400 -400...

The Lion's HP continued to lower each second at a frightening pace. Jordan had used the fact that the Lion had lost its senses to switch the Moon Spear back to a sword. He then stabbed the sword into the body of the Lion.

He had used Moon Slash a few times, hurting the Lion even more so than before. The lion looked extremely infuriated and swung its large claws randomly. It was both confused and agitated at what was happening. It couldn't sense or see anything and was frightened by what was happening. All of its senses were blocked so it couldn't sense the cold feeling or feel the wounds and damage.

But it was still swinging its large paws randomly to try to get a hit on the intruder. Jordan was now extremely fast. Dodging the sloppy attack, Jordan used Moon Slash.

Jordan then used the Moon Tornado to somewhat trap the Lion. The Lion wasn't even aware it was in a Tornado and was still carelessly swinging his claws.

Suddenly, the snowflakes stopped coming. The time for the snowstorm had finished but the Lion was still processing all the sudden pain it felt.

Finally, the Lion snapped out of its trance and immediately tried to jump out. Unfortunately, it was successful in managing to escape the Moon Tornado.

However, its HP had already decreased by almost half. Angry growling noises left the lion's mouth, its eyes were dark red. Jordan immediately jumped back, looking at the ground he was on. The ground had moved a little upwards forming what looked like a hand. The hand then went down back to the ground.

'The ground is moving? Is this the ability of the Lion?'

Large parts of the ground turned into separate other pieces and all went straight toward Jordan. They tried to grab his leg and arms but failed to do so as Jordan slashed through them.

He couldn't stay on the ground as the Lion could trap him in the ground if he did go. Jordan jumped on top of one of the giant Rocks and slashed through the other one that was trying to grab him. He had to constantly jump around in different rock pieces and slash through them.

He had some difficulty in cutting the seemingly hard rocks but in the end, he had still managed to cut through them.

The Lion was too focused on trying to catch Jordan with its powers that it didn't notice Hugo, who had appeared right behind. Hugo slashed his claws toward the lion's back. The lion was caught off guard by the sudden attack. The attack was also the 'Frozen Claw' and luckily the attack had frozen the lion so that Hugo had another chance to attack.

The Lion had lost its attention and because of that, the ground had stopped moving. Jordan immediately ran towards the lion. Both of them soon overpowered the injured lion. This continued for a few minutes. The lion had no way of escaping both of their attacks.

Jordan and Hugo didn't let the Lion use its ability again, continuously striking the lion so that it couldn't concentrate.

Two dark beams appeared in Jordan's hand, and both of them fired toward the Lion. The lion dodged the first one but couldn't dodge the second one.

*Boom*

The Lion's body was shot toward a tree, hitting it and injuring itself more.

The Moon Sword turned into a bow. The strange thing was, there was no arrow. Jordan held the string and pulled with some force. Surprisingly a had arrow conjured itself out of thin air.

Jordan was standing on a large tree branch looking down as Hugo had taken his place and battled the Lion.

Pointing the arrow at where the Lion stood heavily injured, Jordan let go of the string, and the arrow shooted outwards, hitting the Lion straight in the back.
