The shadows of death loom all, however, in the world of death many things can happen. Such situations may even surprise God himself. Nevertheless, the world of death is a pitch black void where your soul lingers and chases your old light and if lucky enough you can chase a light that's easier to grasp. In rare situations, the light of old will continue to flee as the new light forces you into a new world.

It's the same situation as mine, where I am trying to grasp my old life on Earth, but this new light continues to hinder my progress and pulls me into its everlasting light. The light grows stronger and increases the strength of its gnarly pull. Just as I am about to grasp my old life, the light explodes, blinding me as the new light seizes the opportunity to reel me into its brightness.

As I enter the light my body begins to change as a second spirit hovers near me.

"What's going on!" The voice called, panicking as it squirms in the bright void. I floated there knowing the inevitable fate of being reborn in a new world. "I asked you… What. Is. Going. ON!"

The strange being with blue rings around its four legs, a ring on its tail while rings embed the ears leaving one ring of blue light to rest on the being's forehead. Unsure of what it is asking, I simply shrugged off the request. Sadly the creature didn't take that lightly.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YA DON'T KNOW!?" It tried to strangle me, but instead our bodies converged as one. A blue light pierced the intense light of the void. Pain attacked my soul and its soul as we screamed in the endless world. Beforelong, the blue light transformed into a red light.

God knows how long the pain went on, but as time passed the pain subsided. When it fully disappeared, I couldn't move. Instead, when my eyes opened, I was a different being. Paws, legs, and blue rings around the parts like that being had. Suddenly, a voice echoed in my head that sounded just like that black and blue creature.

"What the hell happened?" He clearly sounded confused.

With a stressed and curious tone, I responded, "No clue, but my hunch is that our souls converged in this place. I say this because I cannot move, can hear your thoughts, feel what you feel. Basically, to sum it up I'm one with you, but cannot move our body."

"Uhh, whatever that means. I understand the 'feel what you feel' part and that's disturbing," The creature felt awkward and anxious enough to forget the two are about to travel through another light.

"I have another hunch that we're gonna be stuck together for a very long time. So, let's begin again shall we? The name's Light, yours?" There was a slight delay before the creature responded.

"Hikari, a creature called an 'Umbreon' by many. Nice to meet you, Light," with those words lingering in their head, the light suddenly blinded temporarily.

Once they opened their eyes, they were greeted with darkness and a cold rocky ground. Sounds of water dripping in the distance as the area smelt musty and dusty. Hikari used his rings to light up the area, his front ring acting as a torch while the other rings acted as an area-based light to ensure safe travels. The drippings of water were slow, but it wasn't far from where they were. With slight hesitation, Hikari tread forward towards a large tunnel.

'Where do you think we are?' Hikari and Light wondered as they saw through the same eyes, observing their surroundings while continuing to walk through the seemingly endless cave. We continued to explore the cave for what seemed like hours, the cave interior closing in on us.

'Sa, what was ya life like in ya world, Light?' Hikari struck up the conversation while keeping the lights on, occasionally doing something strange to the walls each time.

'Harsh, bland, yet filled with things to do. Why I wanted to go back there was because I wanted to see my daughter graduate high school.' A sad tone followed as Light's emotions entered the eyes of Hikari, almost making his eyes watery. 'Then, I was shot by some random teen who wanted to try to get at my daughter. Apparently, he was envious of her taking his top spot as the smartest kid in school.'

'Sounds disgustin'. To me that jerk sounds more like he became a turd than a bird. Stuck to the ground smellin' like sh*t,' the accent of Hikari made Light laugh as they both gave a sense of agreement. 'I guess I had it easy, being a virgin.'

'Please, go on. We seem to have a long way to go anyway,' Hikari nodded physically and began to speak.

'It all started on a rainy day, me running through a forest as training. Amidst the loud rain, a scream of pain echoed in the forest. Me being me, I dashed to that location only to find a group of folk attacking a Sylveon. I used the power of the shadow ball to scare the attackers away, saving Sylveon in the process.' Taking a pause to collect his thoughts, the cave began to arrive at a less musty and dusty area with the sound of a river in the distance. 'But after I saved her, she left only to return and kill me in my sleep. Your story is worse since it involves family where mine has just stupid folk killing me in my f**king sleep.'

Keeping silent to avoid a debate, the two looked towards the light of the sun ahead of them. They chased the light, turning off the rings and jumped out to the light. Because they were desperate to get out of all the mysterious shit, Hikari and Light landed atop a woman in her twenties.

"Agh!" She screamed as Hikari leapt off her and hid behind a bush, peaking over the top and stared at the woman as she stared back. Curiosity could be seen in her eyes. "What are you?"

She got up and cleaned the dirt off of her and approached Hikari. "Hello, the name's Hinode."

"Hikari," the word came out clearly, surprising himself, but not the woman called Hinode.

Giggling she bent down and reached into her pink purse, grabbing out some fruit of yellow colour. "Nice to meet you, Hikari. I can tell you're a little frightened, but trust me, I'm friendly. See? No killer equipment here."

She waved at her equipment that only had camping materials and several cartography gear. Hinode edged a little closer to Hikari and placed the yellow fruit in front of Hikari before moving back a few steps. She sat there waiting for Hikari's decision.

'Since she's pretty calm and she seems to hold no malice we might as well take the offer of her fruit,' going around the bush, he crept towards the fruit. His belly scraping the prickly grass and his tail lowered as a sign of caution. Once he reached the fruit, Hikari proceeded to munch on the yellow exterior. A sweet and juicy sensation entered his mouth, catching him off guard.

Hinode gently placed her hand on his head, startling him. Because the fruit tasted so good, Hikari continued to chow down on the fruit, slow enough to savour the taste. The hand of Hinode rubbed the surface of Hikari's head as the thumb massaged the glabella(spot between the eyes).

'Why does that massage remind me of a mother's touch,' Light wondered as he felt the movement of Hinode's hand on Hikari's head. Once Hikari finished, he pressed against the hand for more.

"You really like to be rubbed like this, huh? Well, in that case, lemme try this," Hinode rested on her knees and used her other hand to scratch below the chin while her other hand massaged Hikari's ears. Hikari purred with his mouth open in enjoyment.

The massage continued for a minute before Hinode yelped at something. "Oh no! I have to get back to camp before it's too late! If I don't make it back, pops is gonna make me clean the Radirul cages. Come with me!"

Hinode rushed to check her equipment and wrapped the bag around her back before signalling to Hikari to follow. Since she's the only person they've met so far, Hikari and Light mutually agreed to follow her for now. Running from behind, the group ran down hill towards a camp filled with people and animals.

In the camp there were beasts the colour of green, some pink. Some of the beasts looked like rhino's while some reminded Light of pigeons and ravens combined together. Upon arrival, an interesting person wearing black and green clothing approached us.

"Hinode! You're a tad bit too late, where on Zharue were you at?" the man in green called with a young teenage voice, hand on side while waving at us. The strange pigeon-crow beast flew off its porch before landing gracefully on the strange person.

"Wha- but I am only a tad bit late. Can you pretty please let me off the hook this one time?" Hinode bent down and tried to beg for freedom from her chores. Eying her shiny behind, Hikari blushed as Light in his head laughed at Hikari's reaction.

"Haha! Just like you, Hinode. Let's do it together, it ain't much but it'll be honest work," Hinode got up and followed Tori towards a shed that appeared to be run-down. "Ah, yeah before that, what's that?"

His finger pointed at Hikari."That's a random species I don't know about, but mister blue rings introduce themselves," Hinode bent down to pat Hikari. With hesitation, he opened his mouth and answered.

"First, for your information I'm Hikari, but my species are called Umbreon and I'm a male," Hikari pouted with a hint of frustration. Streaks of red dashed his face and snout as he glanced down at the ground.

"Eh, whatever. You're still worse than my Pijon over here," the group went to a tent in the distance. This thus begins their journey.
