Chapter 2

Island of Crete, Mt Ida

Within a room in a cave, a voice of a woman could be heard crying out in pain. With her, every scream thunder and lightning could be heard in the night sky as if heralding the birth of its master.

This woman was Rhea Queen of the titans, Titan of fertility and motherhood. Rhea was a beautiful woman with a prominent bust, slender waist, and light brown eyes.

She had long wavy auburn hair that was braided around her head and tied in a ponytail around the back.

Next to her was an otherworldly beauty dressed in a white dress with long light blue hair that green flower, blueish-green eyes, and a large burst. The woman was Gaia the primordial goddess of the earth

''You are almost there just one last push,'' Gaia said while looking down at her daughter and remembered when Rhea came to her a few months back crying for help.

At that time, she had just woken up from her millennia of sleep as when she forged the scythe that would defeat Ouranos. She had used most of her powers which left her greatly weaken to the point of having to hibernate to recover and had no idea of what was going on in the outside world and even now she had not fully recovered. So, she had asked for an explanation.

Rhea did not disappoint her and proceed to tell her about the madness and cruelty Kronos had descended into after she had gone to her slumber.

How she could only watch helplessly as he devoured each of her five children one after the other as he was terrified one of his children, who were gods a more powerful race of immortals than the titans. Ultimately overpowering him as predicted by his father Ouranos with her not being able to do anything about it and the great pain it caused her due to her having a divinity for motherhood.

When the explanation was over Gaia had understood the situation as it greatly mirrored that of her situation and was angered as well as disappointed with her son. So, she decided to help her daughter out.

She advised her to give birth to her final child who would save his other sibling on the island of Crete on which Kronos lack influence.

With one last push, the baby was finally out of Rhea, looking at the child in her hands Gaia could not help but smile. The baby was beautiful he had a turf of brown hair on his head and electric blue eyes that seemed to have radiant immense power.

Gaea smiled as she looked into the child's big blue eyes. she was about to hand over the child to her daughter but suddenly paused and looked carefully at the now sleeping child. She could sense that they were something wrong with him so using her divine sight she was able to discover that his divine soul seemed to be damaged.

''What is wrong mother'' asked a nervous and tired Rhea as she seemed to see the worried look on the face of her mother. Before she too proceeded to use her divine sight to look at the damaged divine soul of her newborn son something inside her nearly broke.

Gaea looked at the haggard face of her daughter in sadness and worry as she saw cracks begin to form on her divinity. She knew that if something bad were to happen to this child the divinity of Rhea would most likely break which will result in her fading.

Knowing this thousands of plans began going through her mind to solve this problem as the life of her daughter and grandson depends on this before a crude plan began forming within her mind. ''Don't worry dear, your mother knows what you are going through and have a plan to ensure the safety of your son but I am going to need to trust me so please calm down.'' She said in a gentle voice successful calming the distraught mother.

''Really'' said Rhea with a look of hope in her eyes. when she saw this Gaea could not help but get angry at her son who was responsible for putting her daughter in this state.

''Yes as the Protogenoi of the Earth, I can use my divine essence to create life.''

''It's the way I gave birth to Ouranos, Pontus and the Ourea. I can use this same method by placing the child in my womb for a few months. So that he could absorb and refine my divine essence to heal his divine soul and be reborn.'' Said Gaea as she proceeded to give a detailed explanation to her daughter.

With that, Gaea proceeded to use her divine power to wrap the child in a bluish-green orb of energy before the orb was absorbed into her stomach. When that happened Gaea could feel the child move inside her womb and directed her divine essence for the child to absorb so that he could heal.

''How is he doing mother, is everything alright.'' asked the titan queen.

''Don't worry dear everything is alright, he should be healed in the next nine months. Now let us proceed with what we have planned as Kronus should be expecting the child at Mt Orthys.'' Said Gaea.

After some time, the earth mother managed to convince Rhea to return to Mount Orthys as they have planned as she kept worrying about the child and not wanting him to be out of her sight.

But eventually, Rhea with a huge smooth boulder the same size and shape as her newborn son that was wrapped in swaddling clothes with powerful illusion and enchantment returned to the home of the cannibal king Kronos.

The palace was huge and terrifying-looking like an oversized mausoleum made completely from black marble which caused it to look both terrible and beautiful made of fear and shadow. It had glimmering black towers that reached for the sky like greedy fingers, reaching out for the stars.

Rhea proceeds to make her way through the palace with her back straight and a stoic look on her face. As she walked through the cold halls of the palace titans would be bowed to her as she passed by until she entered the throne room.

Sitting on a huge black throne encrusted with gold and diamonds is the person she had come to hate most in the world.

He had brutal golden eyes, black curly hair, and an unnerving long pointy beard. After swallowing their five children he had become quite fat from excessive eating and drinking nevertheless one should not judge a book but its cover as the pressure he gave off seemed to fill the entire throne room.

''Give me child,'' Kronos spoke in a cold but powerful voice, before Rhea could react effortlessly summoned the boulder that was wrapped in swaddling clothes and swallowed it without even looking as he sadistically watched Rhea crying on the floor not knowing that he had just sealed his fate.
