(A/N:This is my first novel and English is not my first language. After the first 30 chapters, I promise the novel will only get better. Give these 30 chapters a read and I assure you'll be hooked.)

The Dean

" I like you. How about we talk about the guild offer I talked about earlier?" James asked Marcus once again as he stared right into those bright golden eyes.

"Come back with that offer when you get stronger than me." Marcus said as he picked Ryan up as they left. If one could read between the lines, one will realize that Marcus said "When you get stronger than me", it was as if it was in his expectation for that to happen.

One would be amazed by the shocking insight Marcus had. Marcus just had that inborn feeling that the boy who might just be more handsome than himself, had the talent and potential to rise and stand at the top. He just had that feeling.

A person of Marcus' stature and status as the only son of an individual who may as well be one of the most powerful people on earth was bound to have that innate pride.

He did definitely grow up to see a lot of outstanding people by his father's side and to be able to compare James to those people subconsciously or consciously was already a wonder.

Just having to meet all this great people but decide or even have the thought of working for James was really.....

The most amazing thing about him wasn't his pride or his innate insight which could distinguish potential upon the shortest possible interaction.

The most amazing thing was his ability to prevent both of these emotions and perception from affecting each other or cloud his judgement. He didn't allow his innate pride to cover up his insight. He didn't allow himself to think that the wasn't any his age that could be outstanding than him.

Even maybe more than him. But after all these, Marcus was still human. In his heart, he still had pride. Despite physique, Marcus' body held a lot of power.

While he was growing up, he studied varying subjects of the world and martial arts was one of his fortes. Currently, he could fuck James up badly, like limping to the hospital fucked up. He had the strength to beat James currently but he knew that might change soon so he used "when" to cut across his message.

"Huh. So that is him? Such terrifying insight. It will be a big loss if I let him go. I guess this will be fun" James said with his hands inside his pocket as he headed towards the assembly hall.

He didn't even spare the shivering Rebecca a glance. Currently, James' image became tall in the eyes of his colleagues.

The girls had their minds broadened as the notion of Marcus being number one cleared from their minds as they began to see him the way they saw Marcus.

'' Alright!! Please be seated. The course placement of every student will be sorted out before the Dean is invited to give the matriculation speech.

Every student will have to sit in their course section for this particular program. The students running on the In-college registration program will sit in a different section and will be allowed to pick their courses after the other courses have differentiated into their various groups."

The teacher in charge said as everyone moved to their appropriate section. James headed to his section just to find out that he was the only one in that section.

'

Oh well. I am special, I guess' James thought as he sat down at his allocated spot.

'Huh? He did not select a course? Or was I wrong about him? Someone, I have my sights on cannot be that irresponsible right?' Marcus thought as his eyes flashed with confusion.

'' Alright. Now that is sorted out. Student No. 300. Which course will you like an offer at this institute? " The teacher asked as he stared at James.

'

' I will offer any course, Marcus is offering. " James said in a carefree tone. James didn't forget about his reasons for coming to this institute. James happened to find the first person on his list to recruit for his guild.

Marcus just happened to be that person. Bella's s Future Sight spell wasn't just a simple spell that could see into the future. This spell could help the caster focus on a particular aspect or life of an individual and this helps the caster have details of this individual.

The details are just superficially for identification, matters such as personality, religion e.t.c cannot be divined. That was the major limitation of the spell.

With all these loose ends tied up, James had information about most of the future top players in Zero Evolution Online at least till they all rank up.

This information had given an advantage to James over other guilds since a guild could only run effectively with several top players. Besides, in the North Institute, most of the top students pick similar courses and the likelihood of Marcus and Tabitha being in the same class was pretty high.

" I would advise you to take this seriously, student No. 300. Individuals of influential backgrounds such as those from the Five Great Northway Country already have about 150 bonus contributions under their names due to the services and sacrifices made by their families to promote the standard of living of the citizens of the Northway Country.

Marcus Polo as the son of the Supreme Priest also happens to have this privilege and know your place before you start picking courses." The teacher said as he looked at James with disdain.

In his heart, he thought James was from a middle-class family who just happened to be lucky to send him to the institute.

He didn't forget to suck up to the young generation of the Five Great Northway Families.

The Five Great Northway Families; The Mills, Rosario, Makarov, LightField, And George Families were the top families with incredible status and wealth.

Their influence and power is relatively compared to that of the government.

These families had advanced technologies and outstanding individuals from their younger generation who started training to become future leaders at an early age.

Somehow, in this life, the Mills and Rosario families were not wiped out as opposed to the previous timelines.

They were currently present in the Northway Country but not present and Lisa and James' lives.

The Markov family was the family that Tabitha came from, as well as Rebecca.

The Makarov family valued the orthodox way of doing things and the position of members of the family depended on many factors.

" Alright. That is enough Vincent. I told you that in my institute status doesn't matter." An old man with a noble bearing walked onto the stage as he reprimanded the teacher berating James just now.

" Yes, Dean " Vincent wiped his sweat as he left the stage. Most of the teachers from noble birth tend to forget about the dean's birth situation. A man of common birth but of a bearing that inspired respect from all around him.

"Those old bastards decided to give contribution points to their younger generation because of their "contribution" to improve the standard of living of the citizens. Such hypocrites, feeding on the poor to line their pockets and then making it out like a noble deed." Michael muttered under his breath.

Michael was the current Dean of the Northern Institute. He was just a normal person without any significant status but somehow he increased his status and became one of the most influential people in the world.

Due to his past experiences, he made it a point to oversee the running of the North Institute with fairness whereby the background of the individual didn't matter.

"Alright, Everyone settle down. " Michael said as he prepared to begin the ceremony.

(A/N: I know it might seem stupid/ unreasonable for someone( Marcus) to possess such terrifying insight and determine a person's future or potential in a matter of minutes. Just bear with me and let's see where this will take the novel)
