The Eight Supremes

Supremes can have ten seals.

The tenth seal is the representation of their Supreme Seat. There are only Eight Supreme Seat that exists, representing the Eight Gods. They are as of follows:

The Supreme Purity of Light, Deity.

The Supreme Corruption of Darkness, Devil.

The Supreme Terror of Fire, Dragon.

The Supreme Wave of Water, Prime.

The Supreme Flow of Time, Requiem.

The Supreme Stability of Earth, Pharaoh.

The Supreme Surge of Wind, Emperor.

The Supreme Might of Chaos, King.

The Eight Supremes were the ruler of their continents, while in the middle of this planet, where the territories of the Supremes intersect, is the place where the Sixteen Supreme Zones lie. In the middle of it is the most revered institution, the Supreme Shrek University. This school is protected by the Elders of the Court and is the mediator of all the issues on the planet. There are Nine Elders, representing each continent, but war is inevitable.

Through the years, the Supremes fought for dominion over the others, but they failed again and again. This era, they are stagnated and in a stalemate.

Supremes can pass on their titles to others, so they recruit young talented individuals once every ten years. They would nurture their seeds, until they are grown up and can inherit their seats.

But, something happened almost five decades ago. The Requiem and King decided to be married. That year, four of the Supremes were female, while the other half is male. The collision of them resulted into love, that the King declared that he won't wage war against the others as long as he is the King. The Requiem accepted the proposal and they were married three months later. Their territories became the part of each other, but they didn't nurtured any seed. They secluded themselves and ruled their people wholeheartedly.

The others also didn't recruit seeds, hoping that they can be as peaceful as the two, but pride held their ground. They were so proud about their achievements that they fought by themselves. Fifty years later, they decided to recruit seeds. Basically, this is their first batch after half a century.

Each Supreme would recruit ten people, and nurture them. The one above the others will be called as the Crowned Heir. After ten years, another Crowned Heir would be nominated. The Supreme will choose amongst his or her Crowned Heir, and give him or her the seat.

The main purpose of this scenario is to protect its people and dominate the world.

The recruitment of the other six Supremes made their scalp tingle a bit.

Titus was still hoping that the Principal would understand, but they were against the war for dominion.

"Titus, do you know what Laws they have?" The principal asked.

"Sir, you led them to the lab. You didn't led them to the fourth test, right?" Titus said.

He looked towards Mei who suddenly frowned and looked down and turned his head to the principal whose mouth is twitching.

"Principal, you are being forgetful again." A woman, who looks like almost sixty years old, wearing a cape that covered her body, her pink hair is tied in a bun, with a stick stuck on it so it won't fall, with her smiling face and wrinkled forehead said.

They all broke into laughter after she said that. She knew how forgetful her husband is for he forgot his birthday once and forgot their wedding anniversary thrice. The principal almost turned pale when he heard this, his lips still twitching.

"Okay, we won't poke again on your memory." The woman said again.

"Teacher Kiana, does this mean that I am being forgetful too?" Mei asked slightly blushing.

Kiana sighed. "Titus, this woman of yours is like her father. It's not too late to find another woman."

"Mom!" Mei shouted. "It's not like that!" Her face was in rage while looking on the chuckling Aisha and Jay.

"Tell me, my princess. What is it like?" Kiana poked her daughter again.

They broke into laughter again but Titus pulled her into his embrace and said: "Even if you forget me, I won't forget you."

With that, they jeered the two for being like that. Kiana smiled at the two and nodded.

"How I wish someone here is like that! Hmph!" Aisha shouted that made them laugh again.

Jay and Titus were complete opposites. Their Laws were one. If Titus speaks of elegance, Jay is the embodiment of arrogance. If Titus is so romantic, Jay is not. That's why Aisha would always tease him and threaten him that if he wouldn't become romantic, she would break up with him.

Jay can't do anything but sigh. He wants Titus to teach him but.....

Titus gave up teaching him. He is so stern and can't even confess. Without Mei's help, Aisha won't know that Jay love her.

He is the definition of unromantic.

"Silence!" The principal shouted.

Their faces became serious and looked at him.

"We will nurture our seeds. On the registration, please choose eight people to be on the Ninth Plaza. The Elders would be their advisors and each one would choose one disciple. Train them and give them enough resources. That's all for today. Titus, Mei, Aisha and Jay, you four would come with me." The principal stated.

"Meeting adjourned." With that, they walked out of the room and the four remained.

Silence crept unto the room, then suddenly, the principal stood up.

"Titus, report about the project."

"Sir, the cores and circuits are done. I welded it put the circuits on it and added the finishings."

The principal sighed. "The ninth class would have second profession classes. You four would teach them how. Jay would teach blacksmithing, Mei would be designing, Aisha would teach core carving and circuit connecting, Titus would be on tool making. After the the year, let them choose their profession. Teach them with all your heart. As for the project, stop it first. Let them help you when the time comes." The principal was now looking outside the window.

"They are sent by Vindra, right?"

The principal was still smiling.

"Yes, they were twins. They are their sons." Titus agreed.

"They posses their parent's wits and power." The principal said.

"You mean, they have their core?" Mei asked.

"Cores!" The principal answered.

They were quite shocked. What are cores?

Cores are the source of mana. Cores are produced by highly concentrated mana that can be passed through birth, but can endanger the one who will receive it. They could explode on the body or suck in the mana of the person making them unable to use laws.

Supremes are different. They understood their Laws, created their cores and passed it on to their son or daughter.

But their son or daughter may face trials due to those cores. They are legible to inherit the seats, but they must first beat all the Crowned Heirs first.

The issue of giving the cores to their children may hinder their growth of may help them. But risk is always there. It is better to let them form their cores to let them experience the joy of growing.

"They have no choice but to do what has to be done." The principal was still smiling.

"What do you mean, Sir?" Jay asked.

"They knew that war is coming. They knew that the peace they granted us would be threatened."

The principal said.

"They are their miracle twins. I remember Nadia said that they are born on her sixtieth." The principal added.

"Nadia? You mean the Requiem?" Mei asked with curiosity.

"You know them, old timer?" Aisha said.

"Hahahaha. You are a bunch of idiots. I am seventy this year so basically.."

"You know them? You were classmates?" Titus cut off the principal.

"I am the ninth student of our batch, fools." He grinned.

"I was their class representative that time. We fought alongside each other, protected our turf and became famous." The principal added again.

"But the Supremes' pride told them that I would surpass them one day, so they chose every one of them, except me." He frowned while he was saying that.

"That was the reason why Nadia and Vindra became enemies, but back in our time when we were in the university, they loved each other."

"But, their titles didn't blocked their hearts. Vindra threw away his pride and Nadia accepted him. The others were surprised, but they knew that they were not in the league of those two. I am their goal, and the others' goals was them. They got their seats but the gleam of hope they had died when Nadia accepted Vindra. They knew that if they were to fight them, they would lose. Their only way to stop them is nurturing their seeds. Vindra knew that the others would plot against them, and they did." The principal was now enraged.

"I don't want the university to fall so I didn't include myself on the matters."

"I know you know the story what happened to them right?" The principal asked.

The four nodded in agreement. They were still silent.

"Let me tell you a story." He smiled and looked outside the window again.
