82 Chapter 82: Regroup

The sound of hurried footsteps could be heard. Mimiko and Nanako were sprinting at full speed, sweat pouring down both of their faces. As they pass the final building in Shinjuku, their feet start to run on grass as they pass several trees.

Nanako glanced to her left before pointing. They quickly pivoted left and ran up a hill, passing hundreds of mossy rocks and several mossy trees. Mimiko is breathing heavily while carrying something.

Negi is still unconscious with his arm wrapped around Mimiko's neck. Nanako looks over to Mimiko before speaking breathing heavily between each word she says. 

" W-We are almost there. It should take us only a few more minutes until we reach Suda. "

Mimiko nods her head. Her eyes have become sunken. She's obviously running out of energy. Mimiko and Nanako's footsteps echo until they come to an abrupt halt. Mimiko gently lays Negi's unconscious body on the grass as she stares at Suda slowly approaching them.

Suda has a serious look on her face before she speaks in a commanding voice, and quickly goes over the situation happening in Shinjuku.

" We need to hurry and change the tide of this battle fast. The battle between Geto and Yuta has taken far longer than we expected and the special grade Yuki has arrived. Mute and Miguel have been split. Leaving Mute to fight Yuki. While Miguel has to battle Gojo and a student named Todo. "

Mimiko and Nanako stare at Suda in shock. They didn't know the situation was this bad. They thought Geto could easily defeat Yuta before helping Mute defeat Gojo. However, with Yuki's unexpected appearance the tides of this battle have changed dramatically. 

Mimiko starts to ponder before she speaks asking a question. 

" Does Geto have Yuta injured at least? "

Suda shakes her head and gently closes her eyes before speaking. 

" No, they're in a complete stalemate. Geto is currently leaping from rooftop to rooftop while engaged in close combat with Yuta. Rika is clearly bothering Geto severely. "

Mimiko smacked her lips annoyed that the plan she was thinking of had fallen through. Mimiko started to rub her chin thinking until suddenly Nanako spoke. 

" How many curses remain in Shinjuku? "

" Only around a few hundred remain. "

Said Suda responding quickly. Nanako stared at Suda with her brain clicking until she spoke.

" We could gather up the remaining curses and do one final push to distract the first-grade sorcerers letting Mute and Miguel have a chance to escape. "

Suda nodded her head in agreement. Right now, emotions are running high through everyone's bodies. Was this the best plan Nanako and the others could have thought of? Probably not, but everyone's adrenaline is running high. They all believed this plan gave them the best chance of changing the tide of this battle. 

Suda glances down at the unconscious Negi before speaking. 

"It's best if you two stay here and guard him. I'll go to the city and try to round up the remaining curses into one big force. I'll go to the left side of the city. If something happens start talking. I'll hear you due to the coin in your ear. "

Mimiko and Nanako nod their heads watching Suda slowly walk away. Her footsteps gently step onto the grass. Suda closes her eyes. Her gentle footsteps continue to ripple out until they abruptly halt. Mimiko and Nanako stare at Suda confused. Suda's hands start to twitch while her legs begin to shake.

Suda wipes the sweat off her forehead before she turns around snapping her eyes open with her heart racing. Mimiko and Nanako stare at her dire look before Nanako yells out concerned. 

"What's wrong? Did something happen to Geto? Did he win the battle between him and Yuta? "

Suda slightly shakes her head before swallowing her salvia. Her lips quiver before she speaks in a shaky voice. 

" N-No it's not that, it's something far worse. Mute has been fatally wounded by Yuki. "...
