125 Chapter 125: Battle Between Sisters

Megumi's eyes widened in shock, as the chilling sound of someone gurgling their own blood echoed across the fading away beach. To his disbelief, Toji stood in front of Megumi with a rigid blade piercing through his neck. Blood poured out of Toji's jugular and in a desperate attempt to hold on, Toji reached up trying to grab the rough blade but before he could clutch onto the blood-covered blade, it cruelly twisted, enlarging the hole in Toji's neck causing blood to spew out of his neck wildly.

Toji stumbled forward with his hazy eyes until his legs buckled and he started to collapse towards the ground, making the blade slide out the back of his neck. Toji's eyes were near lifeless. However, the next act would ensure his death, the blade sliced through the air, impaling Toji's temple, making his body limp as he violently crashed into the sand.

The blade slowly shrunk still inside his temple, while a shadow was cast onto his corpse before Mute spoke glaring down at Toji's body.

" Sorry Dagon, you were just the perfect distraction. "

As soon as Mute said this, the domain vanished. Mute, Maki, and Megumi, returned to the sky bridge staring at each other, trying to anticipate their next moves. While the three of them regathered themselves, Dagon's body slowly turned into ash, disappearing, while Toji transformed back into the man that consumed the capsule.

Megumi and Maki locked eyes, they balled their fists and were about to lunge toward the exhausted Mute until he suddenly grinned maniacally, and a deafening gunshot rippled through the sky bridge. Before Megumi could react, the bullet pierced into his shoulder making a sharp pain ripple through his body.

Megumi staggered back, until Mute appeared next to him, slamming a powerful kick into his side, sending him crashing through the sky bridge's windows. Shattered glass flew out wildly, rattling on the ground. But Maki wasn't concerned with Megumi, instead her entire focus was staring forward at Maki. Maki stood at the entrance of the bridge holding onto her sniper, kneeling.

Maki and Mai locked eyes before Mute spoke.

" It's about time you showed up Mai, I was getting tired of babysitting your sister. "

Mai's lips quivered, but before he could respond, an unexpected deep voice screamed out enraged as it walked past Mai heading towards Mute.

" Why the hell?! Did you sacrifice Dagon?! "

" Ah, it's good to see you in Jogo. " Retorted Mute, his voice masked in cockyness

" I'm not here, to deal with your human games, Mute. Why did you do it? "

Yelled Jogo grabbing onto Mute's wrist, Mute glared down at Jogo, growing angry before he scowled and spoke.

" For your sake Jogo, unhand me. "

" Tsk, you act all confident, you act like you are the being of pride. You dare murmer those words, like you aren't on your last legs. "

" You will not be the first disaster curse, I've killed. You might, be able to defeat me right now, but do you really think you can keep up with me? I'll simply flee and regather my curse energy, and then come back to end your pathetic, worthless life. " Retorted Mute

" You might be faster than me, but what will you do about this? "

Said Jogo pointing his palm toward Maki, as his pale fingertips started to glow beautiful orange, Mute just grinned at this act, before he yanked his wrist out of Jogo's grasp. A wave of tension swept through the sky bridge, making the atmosphere cuttable with a knife. Jogo and Mute glared at each other, getting ready to fight until a sudden powerful energy swept through the sky bridge snapping their heads back.

Jogo's body starts to tremble from this intense force until Mute speaks mocking him.

" Tsk, stop acting so jumpy, It's just one of his fingers. "

" Tch, we'll settle this later. I'm going to find Itadori Yuji's body. "

Said Jogo sprinting past Mai at insane speeds, Mute watched the sprinting Jogo before he scoffed and spoke while looking at Mai.

" Handle your sister, I'm going to go treat my wounds. "...

The sound of hurried footsteps, echoed throughout a building, as Jogo sprinted towards the sensation of Sukuna's finger, his eyes were dilated as he approached the powerful finger. Jogo turned one more corner before he slid past a destroyed bathroom, and came face to face with a man holding onto Yuji's chin.

Jogo glared at Negi with veins popping out of his forehead before he shouted out waving his hand at her, " How many did you feed him? " Negi just scoffed and responded. " Why the hell would I tell you- " Before Negi could finish his sentence, a massive blast of fire engulfed Negi scorching his body, and making it collapse onto the floor.

Jogo walked past his corpse, pondering. He stood next to Yuji's body until he let out a loud sigh and grabbed onto Yuji's throat. Jogo has decided to feed Yuji the ten fingers in his collection forcefully. After several seconds, all ten fingers were pushed down Yuji's throat. Jogo glared down at Yuji until he heard the sound of something moving.

Jogo glanced to the left and saw Negi somehow still alive, Negi just let out an eerie smile, before Jogo shouted out.

" How are you still alive?- "

Right when Jogo was about to finish his sentence, the feeling of his arm, had disappeared. Jogo glanced down at his missing arm, as one word was said.

" Move. "...

Bang Bang Bang,

As Sukuna awoke, Mai and Maki could be seen battling on the sky bridge. Maki was throwing a barrage of punches at Mai, that she narrowly avoided by dashing back while waving paper fans. Sending powerful gusts of wind at Maki. Maki's hair blew wildly in the gusts, as she yelled through the howling wind.

" Why won't you answer me? Why are you working for him? I know it's some sort of binding vow, I'm not stupid. Just tell me why you made it. "

Despite Maki's desperate pleas, Mai remained silent, letting her actions speak for her. She dashed back one more time, before she crossed her fans, creating an unmistakable X-shape. The fans started to glow a vibrant white, filled with curse energy until in a swift motion, she rubbed the fans across each other, causing an enormous X slash to shoot through the air, hurling towards Maki who stared at the powerful attack in awe. However, she could only stare at the attack for a few seconds, before she slammed her foot on the ground causing a large piece of rubble to shoot up from the floor that collided with the slash.

The piece of rubble was easily sliced through, but the rubble's purpose wasn't to stop the slash. Instead, it served to mask Maki's body, letting her circle Mai who was still fixated on the sliced piece of rubble. Before Mai could react, a powerful punch slammed into her side, propelling her across the ground until she crashed into a wall, leaving behind a colossal crater.

Embedded in the wall, blood pouring from her mouth, Mai struggled to stay conscious. She glared forward at her sister with hazy eyes. Mai pulled herself out of the crater stumbling forward with unsteady steps. Mai inhaled painfully before Maki spoke in a cold voice.

" We both know your strong suit isn't close combat. So give up, I can tell from your eyes that you don't want to fight me. However, if you keep doing so, you leave me- "

BOOM

As Maki was about to finish her sentence, a deafening boom rippled through the air. Causing Maki to snap her head back, as powerful energy swept through the skybridge. The intense energy caused Mai's already unstable legs to shake rapidly until she collapsed to one knee gasping for air.

Mai let go of her fans, and stared at the ground, instinctually kneeling. Maki's face was covered in sweat, before her body flickered and she reappeared next to Mai, slamming her heel into Mai's face, knocking her unconscious, sending Mai's body flying through the skybridge's already destroyed windows.

" What the hell is happening in Shibuya? "

Murmured Maki as she stared at the direction of the energy...
