Chapter 105: One Minute
" Domain Expansion: An Act Of Vitality "
Principal Yaga's eyes widened while the air around him started to be warped. His heart beat rapidly as he crossed his fingers and his cursed energy started flying off his body.
The hundreds of cursed dolls stopped rushing towards the squatting Mute and instead dashed back creating a massive wall between Yaga and Mute. Yaga took a deep breath while thousands of thoughts ran through his mind.
He braced himself for his death as he counted in his head the amount of seconds that had passed. " 1,2,3,5..." After counting for several more seconds a confused look appeared on Yaga's face. The barrier used in domain expansion hadn't formed yet. Yaga quickly snapped his fingers and formed a hole in the massive wall of cursed dolls.
Yaga's eyes pierced through the hole glaring at Mute who was still crouching looking directly at the massive wall of cursed dolls. Had Mute's Domain Expansion failed? But Principal Yaga knew that wasn't the case. For some reason, it still felt like he was in domain expansion. Yaga's hands started to twitch until abruptly Mute's crouching body vanished.
Before Yaga could react, Mute reappeared next to him leaning on his shoulder. A heartless chuckle entered Yaga's ears as Mute spoke.
"How did the final minute of your life feel?"
Yaga glanced at Mute before spinning, throwing a swift back fist directly at Mute's chin. However, before the fist could connect a loud ringing sound rippled out bursting Yaga's eardrums while a barrier instantly formed, trapping Yaga inside.

Outside Mute's domain expansion barrier. Nanami and Kusakabe could be seen staring at the black barrier worried. Kusakabe without wasting any time quickly pounced toward the barrier thrusting his blade. The tip of his katana slammed into the barrier before a loud crack entered Kusakabe's ears and the blade shattered.
Kusakabe looked down at his shattered katana confused before he glanced back at Nanami and spoke.
" If the outside of this barrier is so sturdy surely, the inside is weak enough for Yaga to break? "
Nanami nodded his head in agreement also looking at the barrier confused yet, unbeknownst to Nanami and Kusakabe this isn't your average barrier but instead one created by a vow. Mute's domain expansion "Act Of Vitality" is different in a single way. Mute's domain expansion takes exactly a minute to fully form.
This single minute could mean death in a close battle with another powerful sorcerer. But the benefit for Mute is, if he can survive a minute a massive reward is waiting for him. Mute's domain will automatically activate after a minute passes, in turn overriding any present domain, no matter how strong the enemy's domain is.
The act of surviving a minute is why Mute's domain expansion is called, "An Act Of Vitality." Surviving the minute proves Mute's vitality. There are also more bonuses for Mute's domain. Such as that the barrier formed by Mute is unbreakable no matter the force inflicted on the outside, or the damage Mute's body takes. The only way the barrier can cease to exist is if. Mute cancels it himself.
And the main technique of Mute's domain is interesting, to say the least. But the explanation will have to wait as the black barrier in front of Nanami and Kusakabe abruptly faded away revealing Mute standing on the massive pile of cursed dolls. Nanami's eyes widened seeing the upper half of Prinpical Yaga missing.
Mute's entire body was covered in Yaga's blood as he looked over towards Kusakabe and Nanami. Kusakabe watched in horror as Mute's face started to wrinkle as a creepy grin appeared on his face and his body flickered.
Before Kusakabe could react a powerful kick slammed into his chest propelling his body through the concrete wall behind him. Nanami's eyes locked onto Mute's body before his fingers started to twitch, and out of pure instinct, he crossed his arms blocking a powerful punch that rippled through his body.
The force of the punch caused Nanami's body to slide back as sweat poured off his face. The sweat dripped off his chin before Mute's right leg flickered and a kick slammed into Nanami's chin rocking his head back. Nanami's body was launched back from the kick flying through the hole Kusakabe created.
Nanami flipped in the air coming to a grinding stop on railroad tracks. Nanami dropped to one knee as he breathed heavily. He couldn't track Mute's movements at all. Mute had reached another level compared to him.
Nanami gingerly stood back up as he looked forward worried until, in a split second, knuckles appeared directly in front of Nanami's eyes. Air wrapped around the lightning-fast punch as Mute glared at Nanami with his eyes dilated. Mute focused on his punch quickly approaching Nanami's face until the powerful punch slammed directly into his nose.
The punch broke Nanami's nose as black lightning poured off Mute's fist. The lightning spewed out wildly as the punch lifted Nanami off his feet, launching him through the ceiling of the tunnel...
