What a way to die, huh? Well at least I will be able to see my family again, even if it is in the after-life. Just gotta complete, this damn 'quest' I was tasked with and everything will be fine. Then another voice spoke, this time female and she was never gladder to hear a voice and instantly she knew 'Zelda.' It was as if a goddess herself descended from the sky, to grant her joy once more. Instantly she knew Zelda was not just a princess or her best friend. They were more. They would do everything for each other… or at least she thinks so. Everything feels just a bit weird, it's almost as if she wasn't really the one that experienced these feelings.

'But then again maybe that is exactly what it is?' After all, is she really the person after losing her memories? Although she will probably regain her memories. If this single conversation can restore quite a lot of her memories, then how hard can it be to get the remaining ones as well and hopefully her feelings for Zelda will feel more real with time as well.

"Linkle… You are our final hope. The fate of Hyrule rests with you."

Which made it so much worse that she knew that Zelda was at best imprisoned inside the Hyrule Castle, maybe worse… she couldn't continue down that road though, because King Rhoam once again, surprise surprise, didn't wait for her to think everything through. Although this time, she thought that maybe it wasn't so anger-inducing.

"That princess was my own daughter… And the courageous knight who protected her right up to the very end…

That knight was no other than you, Linkle.

You fought valiantly when your fate took an unfortunate turn. And then you were taken to the Shrine of Resurrection. Here you now stand revitalized, 100 years later. The words of guidance you have been hearing since your awakening are from Princess Zelda herself. Even now, as she works to restrain Ganon from within Hyrule Castle, she calls out for your help. However, my daughter's power will soon be exhausted. Once that happens, Ganon will freely regenerate himself and nothing will stop him from consuming our land. Considering that I could not save my own kingdom, I have no right to ask this of you, Linkle…

But I am powerless here… You must save her… my daughter. And do whatever it takes to annihilate Ganon. Somehow Ganon has maintained control over all Divine Beasts, as well as those Guardians swarming around Hyrule Castle. I believe it would be quite reckless for you to head directly to the castle at this point.

I suggest… that you make your way east, out to one of the villages in the wilderness. Follow the road out to Kakariko Village."

He started pointing out of the 'window' she used to enter here.

"There you will find the elder, Impa. Consult the map on your Sheikah Slate for the precise location of the Kakariko Village. Make your way past the twin summits of the Dueling Peaks. From there, follow the road as it proceeds north…

Go on… Here is the paraglider, just as I promised."

And he finally handed her her ticket down from this damn plateau. She almost wanted to jump from the sheer joy she experienced. Walking and climbing up freezing mounting, going thorough ruins, with an old guardian in it and clearing camps of Bokoblins. But then she looked at what exactly he gave her. Some fabric spun between some sticks. She honestly expected more… but maybe her expectations were screwed after finding a piece of ancient technology just after waking up.

But no that couldn't be it… She is sure of it.

'Well at least I can finally leave this damn plateau.'

"With that, you should be able to safely fly off the cliffs surrounding this area. I've told you everything I can… Linkle… You must save… Hyrule…"

And then he… faded away? What no! She still has questions! Then she started to feel something. And her eyes got wet. But, once more, it's like she doesn't really feel that way and it's more like she is supposed to feel sad and she does, but it really just doesn't feel real. So, she just does what feels right. And blinks away her tears, because they aren't hers, at least not yet. She hopes.

Then she turns to her right and looks at what is inside the chest, pulling out a bow.

'Soldier's Bow'

Her mind completes. And then she goes to the 'window' and pulls out her Paraglider, happy to try her new toy but then, she sees something on the horizon.

Something almost like a star.

'Oh, it's getting bigger.' She thinks, before noticing, that that doesn't make too much sense rather…

"Oh sh*t! It's coming towards me!!!"

Then she jumps in the hope of escaping the explosion. That will surely follow after something with that speed crashes into the ground. And then…

*BOOOMM*

And she is sent flying. Her than she thought. But it seems like the old man didn't trick her and give her a glider that is incapable of holding a person.

'Although I am not the heaviest person, of course…'

And so, she lands without any harm done to her. Which is not something that can be said about the church. As even though the meteor didn't quite hit it. It still did enough damage to the ground around it, that the already damaged church fell apart even more. And then she did the only sensible thing anyone could do.

She walked toward the crater to look at what she would find. And find something she did. Just not what she expected. Rather than a rock or something. It was a Hylean?

'Can someone even survive that? And how come he fell from the sky?'

But yeah, it seems to be a Hylean and a male one at that, she idly noticed, he had no shirt on, which in hindsight isn't surprising, after falling out of the sky, but he also had no chest so yeah. He was also fit and quite… big.

'Oh, he has no pants…'

She instantly feels her ears and face getting warm. Before she controls herself and just focuses on his face, which is also quite handsome, she supposed, and he also has blonde hair, not unlike herself, although his is shorter. She then starts approaching him. She soon stands in front of him and pulls out a stick out of her Sheikah Slate and starts prodding him and calls out to him.

"Ehm hello? Are you ok?"

"Hello?"

"No?"

"Ok, I guess…"

Yeah, not that surprising. But he seems to be alive, at least he is breathing, after getting closer and ignoring his non-existent clothes, she put an ear on his chest and easily notices that yes, his heart is beating. Quite loudly in fact. But that should only be a good sign, no? And now comes the hard part… what to do with him?

Leave him here? No, that doesn't sit too well with her. So, wait here and wait till he wakes up or take him somewhere else. Considering it is already getting darker maybe she should find a spot to sleep and staying in front of a church is probably not the best idea, especially if some Bokoblins start patrolling around here, which they did the previous nights.

'So, taking him with me. I guess I can try to get him onto the roof…'

So, she started to try and carry the person. Only to notice that he is in fact quite heavy, much more so than an average man, probably around the weight of 20-25 Bokoblins. Although it isn't too hard for her considering, most weapons break after she swings them a few times, even holding back doesn't help too much.

'Although I don't have much practice with it, I suppose.'

So, she heaves him up onto the roof and lays him down there, only to notice that no he didn't magically start wearing clothes and now another question. What is worse, possibly spending a night next to a naked unknown man or cloth said unknown man herself.

'Probably easier to just give him some clothes, I suppose.'

So, she pulled the Well-Worn Trousers and the Old Shirt she found and started clothing him, while she did, she once more noticed that, yes, he is quite fit, very fit in fact, he has almost no fat, how can she tell? Well, she is supposed to be a hero, so maybe she has some experience with being fit and other things? Well, she will tell no soul about that so yeah… it wasn't nice have to lift him off the ground with one hand and then pull up the trousers with the other.

"You better be thankful for this, you hear me?!?"

She didn't quite know if she expected him to answer. But well, he didn't. So…

'So now it's time to wait, huh?'

And so, she sat down and waited for him to wake up while being careful not to fall asleep. You just shouldn't be so defenseless when there is an unknown person near you. Her mind fills in for her.

'Even less one that fell from the sky, I guess.'

And so, she waited, and waited, and waited.

At times she could hear some Bokoblins nearby and sometimes it was completely still. It was getting harder and harder for her to not fall asleep, though. She had an exhausting day. Climbing a mountain and doing a shrine on top of it wasn't too easy, especially with how long she had slept. And although she is still quite strong, she does get tired quite easy, so is it a surprise that a few hours in she just straight up fell asleep? No, no it isn't.

And is a surprise that just a few hours later the mysterious man woke up? No, no it really isn't.
