Lloyd Prep High School

The big hall of Lloyd high was packed with students, parents and teachers for the Graduation ceremony. The hall was noisy and rowdy, people walking up and down, chatting and laughing.

Nick was sitting and typing on his phone when someone tap him on his shoulder and said "hi, are you Nick Xavier?"

Nick froze for a second and then he turns around and saw a very beautiful young girl who should be about 17 years of age.

"Depends on who is asking" Nick said jokingly.

"My name is Leila and I attend St Louis High" the girl replied smiling as she bends a little to show her breast through the tank top she was wearing. "Can I have your number?" She further asked.

"Sure give me your....". Before he could finish his sentence Cole rushed towards towards them panting.

"Nick we need to talk". Cole said with frustration in his voice.

"Yeah, but it should wait I'm currently busy" Nick replied as he tries giving Cole a sign that he is about to score with a girl.

Cole looks at the girl and immediately looked back at Nick and said, " Code Dark red". Nick eyes widened and he immediately understood what Cole was talking about.

Cole and Nick have been best friend. Since they were 9 years old. They were from two entirely different worlds. Cole came from one of the richest families in the state while Nick came from a family of gangsters, Nick father and elder brother was killed in a gang war. Although they are from two different worlds they still have some things in common, they were actually born on the same day and they love looking for trouble.

After hearing code red Nick sighs and said "fine". Then he said to the girl as Cole was dragging by the arm out of the hall "Don't worry I'll come find you"

Outside the hall Cole stops and looked at Nick for about 10 seconds before saying "I have no speech!".

Nick was truly surprised and said "what?"

"Yeah, I actually forgot about the speech." Cole replied while combing his hand through his hair.

"How do someone forget about their valedictorian speech?" Nick questioned again.

"Seriously? You and I know I've been attending an online college for about a year now and this week has been my final test". Cole said with a little bit of tiredness in his voice.

Cole has been secretly attending an online college for a year the reason been that Cole was the only son of Philip Sawyer the current helmsman of the Sawyer family and Cole was the scion of the Sawyer so naturally Cole is supposed to attend a business school and Philip Sawyer has already arrange for Cole to attend Stanford because that's where he finished but Cole was not the business minded type although Cole was actually the smartest person his school and was literally good at many things, his mind was already set to be a computer analyst, but the Sawyer's never really agreed and didn't take him seriously and they really thought Cole would go to Stanford although Cole had already made it clear several times that he is not going.

Nick sighs and said "I've never really gotten along with your parents but I still think this online school is a very stupid idea"

Nick and Cole parents never really got along that much because of Nick family background but they never really dared to break him and Cole apart because they knew they were inseparable and could make the already rebellious Cole to go all in on them.

"I admire your skill in hacking and the other stuff but I still think that why going to an online college when you can attend a normal college?" Nick continued.

"I've already explained this to you before man" Cole replied without patience. He looked at the confused Nick and continued "my family won't let me attend a technical school and I don't want to waste two years in school when I actually know there is nothing else they can teach me and I'm not boasting." Cole replied with seriousness all over his face.

"I do know you are not boasting I just care about you." Nick said affectionately.

Cole who was getting worked up instantly calmed down and said "I know…. I know you're just looking out for me." The atmosphere became weird all of a sudden as the two friends starting acting like a couple.

Nick ponders for a bit but still came up with nothing. Cole curled his mouth to a frown, check the watch and said "three more minutes before the event start…. Man I'm toast, I'm seriously Fucked up!" Cole panicked as he was really anxious.

"Yeah you are." Nick said as he didn't try to reassure his best friend. Cole looked at Nick with a cold glare before saying "seriously? That's all you have to say?"

"Actually yeah, but just come up with something up there." Nick said with a faint smile.

"Is that the best you got?" Cole asked still panicking.

"Yeah….. And I believe you can do it you have a very high IQ and you've won 6 karate competition for God sake.... You can do it and I believe." Nick reassured energetically.

"Wow man that was really touching and too dramatic even for you." Cole solemnly said.

Cole has been Seattle karate champion every since he was ten years old, he had won each tournament of his stages and has collected it six years in a roll until he was attacked by an assassin, a female assassin when he was sixteen years old although Cole managed to merely subdue the killer he was still hell bent on quitting even when his Sensei Karol has urge him to stay. The fact was nobody except Nick knew about the assassination attack.

It was on a Friday evening after training, Cole was packing up his gear, suddenly he heard the creaking sound of wood he immediately looked up and around him but there was nobody, he then continued packing up when he heard the sound again but this it was nearer.

"Who is there?" Cole asked 'cause he was sure he was the only one remaining at the dojo.

He got up slowly and said " show your self."

Bang!

A person wearing all black even the mask was also black land s from the celling and stand on two legs awide and one hand on the ground. Cole eyes opened Immediately because he instantly knew the per was an assassin.

"Come on man we can talk things out you really don't need to kill me on whatever I've done." Cole said while walking backwards.

In less than a second the masked assassin dashed towards Cole and threw a punch but Cole was quick so he dodge the punch and rolled on the ground the stood up again.

"He's slow." Cole thought. Cole greatest power was his speed, he was really fast which gives him more advantage during the competitions, but this was not a competition this was a life or death situation so he really had to keep his guard up.

The masked assassin dashed towards Cole again and started throwing punches and kicks but Cole either dodge or blocked the moves efficiently. The fight was getting to be a one sided fight 'cause Cole wasn't attacking but just blocking and dodging the assassin moves. When Cole saw he was matching up with the assassin he attacked and threw a punch but the assassin caught his arm and toss him to the floor which gave the assassin an opening so the assassin immediately drew the sword on his back and pointed it at Cole.

"That isn't fair come on." Cole nagged as if he was talking to a friend. When Cole saw that the assassin really meant business he scrambled to the stand where the wooden weapons for practice are kept and picked out a staff and also pointed it at the assassin. At this point Cole already knew the assassin was an amateur so he had to fight for his life so he attacked first but assassin dodge and striked him but he dodge too the both of them walked around in circles for a while before the assassin attacked first this time and Striked Cole again but Cole used the staff to block, although the block was successful Cole staff had already been shattered to pieces. Seeing no other options Cole panicked and rushed the assassin and jumped on the assassin, the assassin was caught off guard so there was nothing the person could so both of them fell to the ground and the sword fell from the assassin hands.

That was the only sound in the room as Cole was on top of the assassin he immediately snapped and puchced the assassin hard on the face twice before opening the mask, but what he saw surprised him that he opened his mouth in shock. A young girl who should about 27 or 28 years and she really beautiful.

Cole stood up and stared at the girl. Before snapping back to his senses and picked up the sword and pointed it at the girl and asked "who are you and why are you trying to kill me?"

The girl didn't say any but just raised the corner of her mouth and kicked Cole right at his groin. Cole immediately fell from pain and hold his groin for about 15 seconds, when he decided to look up the girl.had already left so he lay back down in relief and pain. For some reason he didn't tell anyone apart from his best bud Nick and decided to leave karate for good.

When Cole remembered that event he reassured himself that he could come up with the speech.

"I'm gonna do it." Cole said feeling confident.

"Yeah you are..... Come on let's go it's about to start." Nick said smiling.

The two boys started heading back to the hall. "God help him or he's gonna suck up there" Nick prayed in his mind.
