Chapter 7

At the time when Yuki woke up from her slumber, in a distant unknown place one dark figure was walking in a corridor. Judging from the silhouette, it seemed like a human, but it was too difficult to tell the gender. The corridor was leading to a door, which was big and dark in colour. The dark figure opened the door, and as soon as the door was opened, thick and dark miasma started seeping out of it.

Nothing was visible, if one had to describe it, it would be like, the room is shrouded in a dark blanket. The dark figure was unfazed by this, it walked straight into it. In the middle of the room was another dark figure, the only peculiar difference was that this figure was big and it had a single dark brown eye. Ans it was opened in vertical slits like an animal. The eyes were giving an intense chilling pressure and the figure also felt it. It bowed and said in a very subservient human-like voice

"Master, we've detected a huge amount of spiritual Qi from the western continent"

"WHen?" the big figure said in a growling voice

"a couple of hours ago, master"

"Did any of those so-called emperor brats came out?"

"No master, we've been monitoring the situation and no emperor have come out"

"Where in the western continent?"

"Misty Mountains, master"

"The place where the remains of the sword bastard are kept, huh"

The small figure didn't say anything, he was waiting for the other figure to speak.

"Send someone to investigate" the big figure with the eye also added "and do it stealthily, do not let anyone be aware of its presence"

"Yes master"

"How is the plan coming along?"

"It's coming along fine, master"

"Good, very good" the big figure then added "go now, don't disturb my slumber"

The small figure walked out and the big figure closed its eyes.

Last night Yuki had a good sleep, she woke up early in the morning, took a bath and went out of her room to take a look around the sword palace.

Sword palace is a beautiful building with multiple pavilions, courtyards and rooms. The top brass of the sword god sect resides in the Sword Palace. Yuki was given a place here as she told them she was their ancestor. Yuki went out and started wandering around the sword palace, and after some time, she reached a courtyard which was open.

There was a small girl in that yard practising martial arts, the girl had spiritual Qi oozing out of her body. She bent her body, lowered her shoulders a bit, and punched.

SFX boom

The air compressed when she punched and made a booming sound, the girl punched again with her other arm. Her small fists jade like fists had enough power to decimate a boulder. The girl then kicked and the same booming sound rang. She did a whole combination of these punches and kicks.

Yuki was standing at the entrance of the courtyard and just watching that little girl. The little girl did a bunch of sets of attacks, she kept going, but after some time with every punch and every kick, the little girl was sweating profusely. She stopped after 30 minutes.

SFX pant, pant

And she stopped only after her body was devoid of spiritual qi and her breathing had became extremely irregular.

"That was pretty good"

The little girl who was panting turned her face towards the voice and as soon as she saw the person standing there, a surprised expression took over her face.

"How how long have you been watching?" She asked

"not long" Yuki answered, she also added smilingly "You have some good moves"

The little girl didn't reply to that but there was a faint redness on her cheek, Yuki noticed that and she smiled.

"Little Chi, why did you ran away last time?" Yuki asked because the little girl who was practising was none other than elder Chi who had run away after showing Yuki her room.

"Who who is little Chi?" elder Chi said in a stuttering way

"who but you" Yuki replied smilingly and started patting her head. Elder Chi moved her head away from Yuki's hand and showed a glaring expression to Yuki. Though elder Chi was showing that expression, she still felt good while being patted, which she will never admit.

If one could see this scene, one would feel that a big sister is showing love to her younger sister who is getting embarrassed. Yuki smiled and asked without minding that

"So why are you pushing yourself so hard?"

"Who who said I am pushing myself hard?"

"My bad my bad, little Chi wasn't pushing herself hard," Yuki said while seeing her reluctance to admit

"So does Little Chi wants to get stronger?"

"Yes," elder Chi instantly answered and her eyes had a strong determination.

"Why?"

"..."

"If little chi tells me, I'll teach you a strong move," Yuki told provocatively

"Really?" elder Chi instantly grabbed Yuki's sleeves

"really" Yuki answered

"Okay, I'll tell you," she then took a deep breath and asked, "Do you know about the rising sun sect?"

"No"

"It's one of the second rate sects which have been around for a long time. Their sect master recently reached heavenly realm" She paused after saying this, Yuki didn't disturb her, she waited for her to respond

"Rising sun sect is doing a grand celebration and has invited all the first and second rate sects including us. We also have just one heavenly realm master and that is Vice Sect Master Chen."

"And this sect wants to replace the sword god sect," Yuki said this as she already understood the gist of the situation.

Elder chi just nodded her head, with her expression and her mood both down.

"This invitation is a way to intimidate our sect and for them to show their power," Yuki said

"When we were at our peak, they wouldn't dare to show themselves" she sighed and said "but now it's a different thing"

"And you are going to represent our sect right," Yuki said

elder Chi didn't pay much attention to the fact that Yuki said our sect, as she just nodded as she was still worried about the upcoming events.

"How about I go with you?"

"huh" she made a surprised expression and her face instantly turned towards Yuki, she hesitatingly asked, "would would you?"

"Why wouldn't I" Yuki also added, "since this is a problem for the sect, shouldn't I help?"

Elder Chi didn't know what to say, but inside she was feeling much lighter now. Maybe it was because she trusts Yuki as she had seen her amazing sword mastery.

Yuki didn't pay attention to that, she smiled and walked to the middle of the courtyard "Since you've already told me the reason, I should teach you a strong move"
