16 CH 16: The new teammates

And that's how one of the most broken cards was playable once again! But since it was hella expensive, not that many people had it.

After all, in this place, where the cards are a lot, LOT cheaper, it's still 50,000 DP! That's 5,000 fucking dollars!

And so, yeah, not that many people have it. And besides, the dumbasses in this world count using the graveyard as idiotic thing ತ_ʖತ.

If someone doesn't think that way, he or she is a real pro. So even if they have it, they don't use it that much.

But for the deck that Ali was planning on building, this card was really useful. Ali chuckled before a deep, satisfied sigh left his mouth :"alright~. Let's put this baby with the others and then I'mma use my own chance."

As he put the card in the bag with the other cards, he spoke into his mental link :(hey, Red Eyes, you said this card also has a duel spirit in it.)

And he got his answer in a form of a nod :(yes, boss. But it seems to be sleep at the moment. Later when you're convincing Serpent Night Dragon, you can also wake it up so he can see what you can do.)

After putting the card in the bag and paying the DP, he got ready once again :(Red Eyes, I'm counting on you.)

And Red Eyes nodded with a serious and determined face as he grabbed Ali's finger :(you can count on me, boss. I won't let you down.)

As he guided Ali's down the plastic bags, Red Eyes sensed his surroundings before a card caught his attention :"get me out of this damnable... whatever it is!!"

Red Eyes paused for a second before a smirk grew on his lips and guided Ali's hand towards the plastic bag that he had sensed the powerful aura in :"hey, just hold on a second."

The proudful voice sounded once again :"hm? Who are you? You have a very weak aura, but you seem to have a bond with that human. A very strong bond at that."

Red Eyes smirked as so did Ali once he grabbed onto the plastic bag :"who am I? I'm the Ka of your future master and your future partner!"

And the owner of the voice didn't have a chance to say anything as he was pulled out of the huge box!

And he wasn't gentle about it either, so the moment the plastic bag was pulled out, the owner of the dragon voice shouted out angrily :"oy! Why you just yanking me, boy?!"

Seeing how lucky he was today with the two cards that he had already gotten, Ali was really excited about this one as he didn't answer.

But thankfully, Red Eyes who got his mental message did :"sorry, my boss can't talk right now since the others would think he's crazy if he did. But he does apologize and said that he's just too excited."

The owner of the voice snorted with a calmer voice :"well, since he is just excited, I suppose I can forgive him. Now get me out of this thing already!"

'a fiery one, huh?' Ali mused with a smirk before he opened the bag and reached out into it without even bothering about what sandwich he had gotten.

And the moment he pulled the card out, a huge grin of excitement appeared on his face at the card.

The owner of the voice, seeing his reaction, seemed to be satisfied as he raised his head and smirked :"good reaction, kid. You seem to know how lucky you are to have me!"

Zane who had taken a step back to give Ali space came to his side as he deadpanned at the card :"you've got to be kidding me... Another rare card?"

The card that had pulled the attention from the third year, was the White Horned Dragon that was also on the covers of the booster packs Ali had picked up!

White Horned Dragon: Dragon/ Effect/ Dark/ Lv 6/ 2,200 ATK/ 1,400 DEF.

Effect(s): When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Target up to 5 Spell Cards in your opponent's Graveyard; banish those target(s), and if you do, this card gains 300 ATK for each card banished by this effect.

Yet another powerful card that was caught because of his luck and the heart of the cards! And because of its attribute, it was perfect for his deck.

Dorothy who had heard Zane put her hand over her mouth :"my goodness, another rare card! And a powerful one too!

The White Horned Dragon is powerful, but because of its ability to make it reach a total of 3,700 ATK upon being summoned, it's also pricey. In here, we sell it for 10,000 DP!"

But it seemed that the White Horned Dragon didn't like the price as he roared out :"you damned woman!

Even though I don't know that DP or whatever is I just heard you say that old, always sleeping bastard is worth 50,000 of it!

Why the hell does the great me's with is so much lower than his?! You better explain before I destroy this damned place right this instance!"

Red Eyes rolled his eyes in Ali's place at him :"you idiot. She can't even hear you, why are you shouting so much?

And besides, can you really blame her? Chaos Emperor Dragon can wipe the whole field and end the duel.

Why wouldn't that kind of card have that much worth? Your effect is only increasing you ATK points which isn't that rare.

Your ATK points is normally only at 2,200 too, while Chaos Emperor Dragon has 3,000 ATK. So calm down."

But his words seem to only anger the fiery dragon even more :"fuck you, little dragon! I don't care! How dare they set the price for the great me so lo-?!"

But he was cut off by a growl and an old sounding voice :"shut it." It was only two words, but they carried immense strength and power in them.

So much that White Horned Dragon immediately obeyed and went silent. Heck, even Red Eyes and other duel spirits in Ali's decks were alarmed by the powerful aura.

So much that they immediately surrounded Ali's body with their aura to protect them. Causing the person behind the voice to hum :"oh?

So many duel spirits with only a single human. And so many strong ones. Count me impressed and interested.

Little human, I can see that you can't converse with me in public, so I won't trouble you. We will talk when you see fit. For now, I will take a little nap."

The voice could belong to only a single monster at the moment, the Chaos Emperor Dragon. He was the only one powerful enough to alert all of his duel spirits.

Ali sighed gave a sigh through his nose with a small smile as he slipped the White Horned Dragon into the bag in Zane's hand before taking it from his hand :"alright, thanks, Dorothy, Sadie. I had a really good luck today."

Dorothy nodded as the two ladies smiled sweetly :"you're welcome, Ali. But you don't need to thank us, it was all thanks to your own luck. Oh, and take this plastic bag for the sandwiches!"

As the boys walked towards the door, Ali waved with a final smile :"alright, good bye you two. See you later!"

Sadie waved back with a sweet smile :"see you too, Ali! Goodbye, Zane. Be careful on your way."

And so the two handsome boys walked towards the classroom in the empty ways. Ali glanced at Zane with a curious face with two bags in his hand :"so? What is this surprise that you woke me up for?"

Zane smirked mysteriously as he snorted softly :"hmph, have a little patience. But I'm telling you this, you're going to love it."

Ali shrugged with a nonchalant purse of his lips as they walked towards the classrooms. As the door of Ali's classroom slid open, Zane pointed at a seat :"there."

Ali cocked an eyebrow with a look of confusion :"there what? Why are you pointing at it? It's just a seat."

But Zane smirked :"yeah, but it isn't any seat. It's the seat that Alexis seats. At least I think she does."

And Ali's reaction? He turned to Zane while looking like the wiggly Po meme :"what now, bro???"

Zane's smile grew as he snorted with a knowing smirk :"you like Alexis, right? At least you are attracted to her.

I mean, who wouldn't? The only reason for why I'm not in a relationship like that with her is because... Sigh, she is the little sister of my friend.

Otherwise, I would be lying if I said she isn't very hot. Heh, and since you can, I thought I might as well do a friend a favor and help you out."

Ali raised his hand and put it on his shoulder with a serious face :"Zane, you just got promoted. You ain't a bro no more. You a bruh now!"

His words caused Zane to laugh out now as he shook his head in amusement :"what? There's a ranking system to your friendship?"

The playful serious face didn't leave Ali's face as he nodded :"yup. So you should work hard to reach the next rank, the brotha rank."

Zane rolled his eyes with a smile as he pat Ali's back :"yeah, yeah. Sure, I'll work hard, bruh. Enjoy your day.

Use this chance to make a deck till class starts. There are 10 cards in each booster pack, so you can make a random deck till then. Who knows which one of these idiots will pick a fight with you."

And he walked away after Ali nodded with a grin :"yeah, bruh, sure. Enjoy your day as well." And he walked into the class and to where Zane had pointed at.

After sitting down, he immediately put down the bags beside him before taking out the three cards with duel spirits in them.

As he took out the cards out of their covers, he put Serpent Night Dragon, Chaos Emperor Dragon, and White Horned Dragon on his desk before he called out :"alright, guys, come out."

As he called out, three lights exited the cards before they floated towards the front of the desk and expanded.

But their expanding wasn't like Dark Magician and the girls' who just became human sized and then finished.

Nope, these ones just kept growing and growing. Serpent Night Dragon stopped growing after reaching a length of probably three meters.

But damn, the others just kept on going! White Horned Dragon stopped growing after reaching 5 meters.

But the Chaos Emperor Dragon didn't seem to have enough till he reached a massive size of 10 fucking meters!

Ali was truly grateful that they were kind enough to make some space between them before revealing their forms.

Now, even though Ali was crazy, he was a polite psycho. So since this was their first time meeting, he got up as he raised his hand and gave his signature salute, you know, the index and middle finger one :"hello to you all.

It's a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Ali Ashborne, hope we get along from now on as teammates."

It seems like Chaos Emperor Dragon was the top dog... Dragon between the three, so he went first :"it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Ali.

I see that you are a polite child, I'm happy to know that. But even though a human who acts polite towards duel spirits is rare, it's not enough to gain our approval.

Now, as I said, I am truly surprised to see just how many duel spirits and how powerful they are. So I won't make it hard for you.

I will just give you a little test, just as your fiend from before said, use the cards in those small letters to make a deck.

If your built deck and strategies are satisfactory, I will happily accept you as my master and will try my best to help you.

But if not, then I hope that you won't be sad about me leaving and not joining your deck. I have high standards for a master after all."
