/"What the hell?/" Rick groaned and I was pissed as hell. All this running crap and moving away from home and we couldn’t mate? I was honestly pissed.

/"Let’s try again,/" he suggested but suddenly I felt empty. I didn’t want to. I couldn’t do it again. I shook my head and pushed him off me. I lay back on the bed in the cheap motel room. I got up and dressed.

/"What are you doing?/" Rick asked cautiously.

I turned around to look at him.

/"We obviously can’t mate so there is no point in staying here. Running away from home for something that can’t happen is not something I can do. I’m sorry./"

/"We can meet the alpha and find out why we can’t mate,/" Rick said and I just shook my head at him. I couldn’t do that. All that Rick made me feel was empty. There was no love now. Not even lust. I felt a small pain in my body. It was as is I was taking it from someone else. That scared the living shit out of me.
