Someone new for you

3 months had past since we last spoke. Those days were the worst days of my life. We went from telling each other everything and anything, texting 24/7, to not even speaking one word to each other. So, I decided i'd go through our text messages, just to look.

Oh my god. Why did I look through these. Just why?! Im missing him more than ever..

"Are you okay Evelyn?" My best friend, Sadie asked me.

"Yeah.. I'm fine." I replied as my eyes were red and tears fell down my cheek. Gosh this is so embarrassing, i'm in class. And "he" is in this class too. Of course. This happened in every class for the next two days..

A couple days later, another friend of mine, Lauren, showed me a few texts of hers with Elijah.

"I like you. Please give me a chance." Elijah had sent to her.

"I'll think about it." She replied.

"Well tell me when you have your answer, i'll wait." The conversation then ended there.

"Should I date him?!" Lauren asked as she turned her phone off.

"U-uh, yeah I guess! Give him a chance if you want to." I responded. I tried to act as happily as I could. As if I was happy for her, after all, she was my best friend too.

"So he's moved on.. He's found someone.. Who can actually love him in the way I couldn't.." I thought to myself.

And so they dated.. They seemed to move.. Rather quickly. On the third day of their relationship, they've already said "I love you" to each other. I see them hugging and holding hands wherever they go.. Sure, a cute couple.

It was a Saturday, and I couldn't take it anymore. I just missed being Elijahs best friend so much. So I talked about it to my friend, Sadie. Since she was his friend, she texted him without me knowing, saying that he should text me. So he did.

"Hey" the simple word that started it all.

"Hi" I responded with.

"We haven't talked in a while." He said

And so we said our apologies and like that, it was like nothing happened. We were back to best friends. Sharing everything with each other.
