Avenging Angel!

Thus, though Aelia knew that Reine was planning to do something, she still did not intercept her from inviting Asher. She wanted to see what Reine had actually planned and confront her head-on.

Besides, Aelia thought that if Asher came along with them, it would provide a good chance for her to actually show him around her soon-to-be former university.

As soon as Asher had heard Reine inviting him to go to the university, he too knew that she was up to no good. The fake smile on Reine's face disgusted Asher.

He was about to refuse her invitation when he heard his Angel say, "That's a good idea! Asher, why don't you come along with us tomorrow?"

Asher raised an eyebrow at Aelia but still accepted her invitation. How could he bear to refuse his Angel's invitation?

Besides, he too wanted to see what the foolish girl had schemed against his Angel?

Asher fumed thinking it was such a pity that he couldn't just directly remove this pest from his Angel's side.

Though he was confident that his little Angel was smart enough to handle an insignificant fly like Reine, he had to at least hold up his responsibilities as her husband.

How could he just sit by and watch someone scheme against his woman? How dare she?

Asher consoled himself thinking he would make Reine end up with her deserved fate, after his Angel was done playing with her.

Since he could not immediately eliminate Reine, Asher decided that could at least give her a hard time.

Thus, after readily accepting Aelia's invitation, Asher turned to look at Reine.

Reine, on the other hand, had no idea about Asher's real thoughts.

When she saw him looking at her, she felt flattered to finally receive his attention. She gave a warm smile at Asher and her infatuated expression, which she had tried to hide meticulously, was clearly seen by everyone.

Aylin felt disgusted at Reine, because of the look she was giving her brother-in-law, after proclaiming herself as their sister.

While Asher looked on with an icy glare, Reine patted herself on her back thinking, 'He's already looking at me! Just as I thought, if I remove that bitch from Asher's side, he will definitely choose me!'

Reine opened her mouth and started to say softly, "Asher..."

Aelia felt herself losing her appetite at Reine's shameless actions. She was about to lose her temper, when Asher clasped her hand under the table and started drawing small circles on her palm.

Aelia looked up at him in surprise. She was amazed to see him still looking coldly at Reine with a cold look. By the straight expression on his face, no one would know that he was holding her hands under the table and patiently soothing her emotions.

Soon, Aelia felt Asher's finger drawing circles up her arms. In spite of it being such an innocent act, Aelia felt her body getting warmer, the longer Asher's fingers played with her hand.

Asher smirked at seeing the growing red tint on Aelia's face. He was extremely pleased to see how a small touch from him could affect his Angel so much!

When Reine saw Asher and Aelia exchanging surreptitious glances at each other, she grew extremely irritated thinking that it must be Aelia who was jealous of Asher looking at her, and was now deliberately attempting to seduce him to divert his attention from her.

Reine felt her thought being proved right by Asher's next words.

"Ms Reine, I've been tolerating such disrespect from you for so long! Don't you think you should stop while you still have the chance?"

Asher's threat made Reine believe that he had been persuaded by Aelia to unnecessarily find faults with her. Otherwise, she could not think of any instance where he had disrespected him.

Reine completely ignored the fact that on their very first meeting she had regarded Asher as undeserving of her status and had even announced in public that he had to be supported by Aelia for the rest of his life.

Reine dismissed this incident because she was sure that Asher would not be petty enough to call her on her mistake as she had not known his identity yet.

However, what Reine did not know was that Asher could be pettier if he wanted to avenge his Angel, even though it might have been just a childish scheme against Aelia.

Reine felt very discontented with Asher's words and she did not try to hide the petulant glare she shot at Aelia.

Reine inquired with a wronged voice, "Asher, what do you mean? When did I ever show disrespect towards you?"

Asher replied coldly, "If calling me by my name is not showing disrespect, then what is? From now on, you should pay attention while addressing me."

Reine gaped at Asher and said, "But everyone in this family calls you by your name!"

Asher replied curtly, "They do so because I've allowed them to call me by my name. You, on the other hand, should just address me formally as Your Highness!"

Reine realised that Asher was deliberately making things difficult for her. She gnashed her jaws in anger and left the table, thinking 'Hmph! Aelia, we'll see how long you can stand by his side! Tomorrow, when I reveal your real face in front of everyone, you'll see how he leaves you within the blink of an eye.'

Reine consoled her anger thinking how Asher would feel more guilty tomorrow when he would realise that he had falsely accused Reine just to appease his two-faced fianceé.

Reine felt quite satisfied when she thought of a plan to get close to Asher due to him feeling guilty towards her.

While Reine was busy scheming to get close to Asher, she did not even think that tomorrow the tables would be easily turned against her. But she could blame nobody except herself for this. Who told her to unnecessarily scheme against people?

After Reine left the dining table, the three of them could, at last, have their lunch peacefully. They chatted with each other and Aylin had a great time teasing her elder sister who always seemed so u ruffled about everything.

After lunch, Asher had to deal with some reports from his country, so he dejectedly bade goodbye to his Angel with an innocent kiss on the back of her hands.

Aelia felt warm on seeing the dejection Asher felt on leaving her temporarily. So, she decided to give him a small present and after swiftly pressing a kiss on his cheeks, she ran up the stairs.

Asher stood stupefied for a moment and then chuckled at his Angel's antics.
