Chapter 7: It Was You

I shivered, as it felt like it was quite a bit cold out right now, though to be fair, after all, it was in fact quite a bit cold right now, as I knew that leaf bare was soon to come, and soon all of the prey would be in hiding, making it even harder than it had been as of late, due to the fact that we had not much to eat in our clan right at this very moment in time never the less.

I had seen it get this bad in the previous leaf bare, back when I had been an older kit, but it was not even the leaf bare just yet, and we were already having to struggle with all of those problems, all at the exact same time as well, as I let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I knew as to just why it was that we were having to deal with those problems.

It was not due to the fact that we were running low on prey, and it was happening a lot sooner than it had been last seasons, but it was more due to the fact that a lot of the cats were quite a bit lazy, and if they did not have to do a hunting patrol, they usually went out to go do who knows what, as they rarely came back with some prey.

In reality, there was in fact a ton of prey out right now, as the lands were better than they usually were around this time, if I was not going to lie to my self either, never the less. It was just due to the simple fact that no one wanted to go out and do any thing, and it did not seem like my father was going to make a stand on it, all at the exact same time too, sadly enough.

At first, I had been quite a bit upset, such as my father was, as to the fact that PikeStar was trying to help him lead his clan, and he was trying to give him some advice so to say, crazily enough, considering his clan was the clan that was no more, and our clan was still alive, at least, we were still slightly alive, as I was not too sure as to just how much longer we had at this rate, if I was going to be for real with my self.

I knew that I had seen some cats come back, and they smelt as if they had just come out of a two leg place. That was after all, because of the fact that they had in fact just came out of a two leg place, all at the exact same time too, as I could simply tell, just based off of the fact not due to the smell, but due to the fact that they were fat, whilst the rest of the clan was hungry, and we were all skinny.

It was starting to get worse and worse, and PikeStar was trying to tell my father about it, but clearly my father did not want to listen, sadly enough, as I was in fact starting to take the side of PikeStar, as I was realizing that some of the stuff that he was saying was in fact true, as he had said the exact same thing had been going on in his own clan, and that he had said that it was only going to get worse and worse, never the less.

That kind of scared me, to think about the fact that we were going to lose our home very soon from now, just due to the fact that some of the cats in the clan just did not seem like they wanted to be a warrior cat any more, and they would much rather live out their life as a two leg. If I was the leader of the clan right now, I would take a stand on that, and I would tell any cat who wanted to do as such a thing, to leave.

Though I was kind of afraid, if I was not going to lie to my self, as to just how many cats would in fact leave if I was to do as such a thing, all at the exact same time as well, as I gulped quite a bit of a big wad of spit down my throat, all at the exact same time too, as I felt like I should not be thinking on all of these thoughts right now, as I knew that I should keep on going on with quite a lovely day I was having other wise.

Why was it such a lovely day? One might ask them selves, all at the exact same time too. Well the answer to that question was quite a bit simple, as I knew that I was out of the camp right now, and I was away from all of the stress that seemed to be building up on me quite a bit. I instead was out of camp, and I was on a hunting patrol, all at the exact same time too.

Not just any hunting patrol, but I was on a hunting patrol with my new found mate, BreezePaw, as I could see that she had quite a bit smile on her face right now, which seemed to calm me down, and it made me feel a bit better about every thing, all at the exact same time too. I kind of felt like, I did not care all too much about just what it was that went on around the lake, so long as I had her by my side, for ever and always, all at the exact same time too, none the less.

I really had found the love of my life, and it felt quite a bit amazing, all at the exact same time too, as I let out quite a bit of a relieved sigh, as I then began to start to get my focus back on the fact that I had gone out on a hunting patrol with her in the very first place any ways, as that was simply due to the fact that JaggedBriar had said that he did not care as to just what it was that she did today, due to the fact that he had said that she had been working hard as of late, and that she needed a day to her self, much to my surprise.

I was surprised, due to the fact that I knew that JaggedBriar knew just as well as I did, that the clan was hungry, and we needed food. No matter how hard it was that she was working right now, I felt like he should not give her a day off. Though, the more that I thought on it, all at the exact same time too, I was starting to realize that it might have been a test between me and her, all at the exact same time too.

It was more than likely his hope that we would have gone out and done some thing to help the clan on a day like today, as I knew that I always did stuff to help the clan, so there was not any thing that needed to be worried about for me on that effort, but when BreezePaw had come to me, to tell me that she had the day off, that was when it had given me the perfect idea as to just what it was that we should do today, all at the exact same time too, as I cracked quite a bit of a smile on my face, all at once.

Just as I did as such a thing, I then all of the sudden noticed, at the exact same time too, that BreezePaw had then all at once, got her focus on some thing else, that was much different than all of this, as I then all of the sudden tilted my head, as I was a little bit lost as to just why it was that she had stopped her self in the middle of the field, in the very first place any ways.

As I stood there and stared at her, as I then all of the sudden noticed, all at the exact same time too, that she did not have her eyes on me at all right now, as it was clear to me that she had her eyes some where else, all at the exact same time too, as I was a little bit lost, as well as the fact that I was quite a bit shocked as to just what it was that was even going on in the very first place any ways, for some odd reason or another, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I was thinking.

That was when she all of the sudden bolted off in the direction that she was looking at, as I was even more lost than I had been before, until I all of the sudden got my eyes on just what it was that she had even been looking at before now, and before all of this, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden nodded a bit to my self, as I was not all too sure as to just what else it was that I had been thinking that she could have been doing.

As I saw her disappear, I then all of the sudden chased after her, as I could smell the scent of a rabbit in the wind, in the direction that she had gone after, as I cracked a bit of a smile on my face, as I was glad that she had now all of the sudden woken me up, and she had got my attention on just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, as I then let out quite a bit of a rough sigh to my self, all at once, as I then all of the sudden saw her poke her head out of the tall grass that I had seen her disappear behind, all at the exact same time too.

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I was just relieved to see that she was okay, if I was not going to lie to my self never the less, all at the exact same time too, as I let out quite a heavy, as well as a big relieved sigh, all at the exact same time as well, as I saw that she had a big fat rabbit in her mouth, all at the exact same time too.

After the initial wave of shock, and fear seemed to go away from me, I then all of the sudden cracked quite a big smile on my face, all at the exact same time too, as I was happy to see that she had got some prey, a big one none the less, to bring back to the clan, as I was sure that the cats that actually needed it were going to be quite a bit grateful for it, as I felt like I should make sure that they prey did not get in to the wrong paws, all at the exact same time as well, too.

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I then all of the sudden began to start to head over to her, all at the exact same time too, as I kept the same big smile that I had on my face before, on my face all the way over to her, as I wanted her to know as to just how much it was that I loved her in the very first place any ways, as I then all of the sudden nodded to her, all at the exact same time too, as soon as it was that I even got close to her, none the less.

BreezePaw looked at me for just a little bit of some time, as I saw that she had a bit of a blank look on her face at first, but in the end, she did in fact nod back to me, as she cracked a big smile on her own face, shortly after she saw the smile on mine. I got a bit close to her, and I then rubbed against her, before I then began to start to speak to her, all at the exact same time too, now that I knew that she had her full attention on me, all at the exact same time as well.

"Good catch BreezePaw! You are such a good hunter!" I said, complementing her skills at hunting, all at the exact same time as well, as I saw that it made her have an even bigger smile on her face than she had seemed to have before now, all at the exact same time too, as to just what it was that I had even said to her in the very first place any ways, as I began to breath in quite a bit, as I began to hold on to her even closer than before.

This was what it really felt like to be in love, as I was not all too sure as to how my father could have sent my brother out to kill our mother, and his mate, all at the exact same time as well, even if they had been getting in to a lot of fights, and a lot of quarrels before all of that, all at the exact same time as well, as surely he still knew that she was still his mate, right?

Clearly not, if he made me go out and kill her, all at the exact same time too, as it made me feel sick as to just what it was that I had done to my brother, as we were right near the location that it had happened at, come to think of it, all at the exact same time too, as I felt quite a bit sick, as I shivered a bit, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I was doing here, as I thought that I had told my self that I was never going to come this way, ever again.

I wanted to cry, but at the exact same time too, I really did not want to make my self look weak to my mate right now, as I knew that this was a time that we should enjoy together, as it was simply just me and her. I blinked my eyes a few times, as I then shook my head, all at the exact same time too, as I still felt like I could not help but to feel a bit sick, as I then all of the sudden turned my head over to BreezePaw, all at the exact same time too, as I knew that was what it was that I needed to get my attention on right now.

When I looked over to BreezePaw how ever, I saw that the cat that was in front of my eyes right now, was not in fact BreezePaw at all, crazily enough, as I saw that the cat that was in front of me was instead, my brother... Though he was not dead, as I came to realize, as I saw that he was just staring at me with quite a bit of an angry look on his eyes, which was quite a bit of a rare look for him to have to me.

He did in fact used to make fun of me, but he was never one to rarely ever get upset at me, as it did in fact have me quite a bit off, all at the exact same time as well, as I was fairly certain that the cat that was in front of me right now, was not my brother. But then again, maybe it was... He would be upset at me for the fact that I had killed him, I was quite sure of, all at the exact same time as well, as I shivered at all of those thoughts, all at the exact same time as well, as I did my best to try not to think on that all too much.

Though, he was right in front of me, as I saw that my brother RiskFeather was staring at me with a not so happy look on his eyes, all at the exact same time too. Not only that, but I also began to realize that this was in fact really him, all at the exact same time too, as I saw that he had a gash right around his throat, as it was the exact same gash that I had done to him, after it was that he had killed our mother, BirdToe, all at the exact same time too.

RiskFeather continued to just stare at me for a little bit longer, as I could see that the blood was dripping from his throat, all at the exact same time too, as not just that either, but the blood seemed to be dripping faster and faster, as I just continued to keep on staring at it, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should even do right at this very moment in time.

That was when RiskFeather all of the sudden opened his mouth, all at the exact same time too, as I heard quite a loud gulp come out of his mouth, as it did not seem like he was able to speak at all at first, due to the fact that he had a gash in his throat. He seemed to do that for a little bit longer, as if it was some sort of game, even though I knew that it was not, and I really had killed him. As he kept on doing that, I then all of the sudden heard him begin to speak up in a bit more of a clear voice, all at the exact same time too.

I felt like I was lost, like I was stuck in place right now, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should say to him, nor what it was that I should do at all, all at the exact same time too, as the blood kept on pouring all around me, all at the exact same time too, as it seemed to be flooding the ground at the exact same time too. I was freaking out, but I was freaked out in side, as I then all of the sudden began to start to listen as to just what it was that he even had to say in the very first place any ways, none the less.

"You did this YoungTail! You killed me! You killed us all!" He yelled to me, as I then all of the sudden blinked my eyes a few times, as the blood seemed to be all around me, as it now seemed to be drowning me, all at the exact same time too, as it felt to be so cold out side, but the blood was ever so warm, if I was not going to lie to my self. I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do.

RiskFeather suddenly began to start to head a little bit closer to me, all at once, none the less, as though I did feel like I was stuck, due to the fact that I was in quite a bit of some fear right now, I did in fact, at the very least, move back quite a bit, due to the fact that I knew that I did not want to get near my brother, who I thought had been dead right? Surely he was dead, this could not be real!

I was scared, and I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do right at this very moment in time, as I began to start to breath in quite a bit fast and quite a bit frantically all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just what else it was that I should be doing right now, as this did not seem real at all, as it did in fact seem to be quite a bit strange.

Where had BreezePaw gone? She had been coming over to me with a bit smile on her face before all of this, as I only seemed to see that smile go away, only to see a not so happy look on the face of my dead brother, which I could in fact under stand as to just why it was that he would not be all too happy, as I knew that I had in fact been the one that had killed him after all, and I had lied to my whole clan about it none the less, though I did not have much of a choice about that.

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I then began to start to breath in quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to get my focus off of all of those thoughts all at once, as I felt the blood spilling all over me, as it felt quite a bit hot, and sticky, as it seemed to just take over my body. I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do, as I was not all too sure as to just how it was that I could stop all of this, as it seemed like I was in a night mare right now, even though I was fairly certain that I was not asleep, right?

Unless I had magically been struck by lightning, and I was now on the brink of death, as I had not seen it coming, and this was the last thing that I was going to see before I died, due to the fact that it was the most amount of guilt that I had ever had in my life, due to just what it was that I had even done in the very first place any ways, all at the exact same time too.

I heard the foot steps of my brother, as he drew closer and closer to me with each passing second, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do, or what it was that I could even do to stop all of this. I was dead now, right? This was the last thing that I was ever going to see, I was quite sure of it, all at the exact same time too. I really just hoped that BreezePaw was alright...

I opened my eyes once again, as I saw that my brother, RiskFeather, was closer to me than he had been before, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that he was going to do to me next, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden shivered, even though I was covered in hot blood, all at the exact same time too, never the less.

Just as soon as I thought that things could not get any worse, all of the sudden, I saw that RiskFeather cracked quite a big smile on his face for some odd reason or another, all at the exact same time too, as I blinked my eyes a few times, and I then all of the sudden saw him jump at me after a few more moments seemed to pass, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I could do, and just what it was that I should do to stop him.

I was simply stuck, as I was not sure if it were due to the fact that I was covered in the sticky blood, or if it were due to the fact that it was just some thing that I was doing right now. I closed my eyes at the exact same time too, as it felt like it was the only thing that I could do, to except my inevitable death that I had looming on me, all at the exact same time too.

A single tear dripped out of my eyes, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to yell out really loudly, all at the exact same time too, as I did not care who it was that heard me at this point... I was dead, surely, right? I just kept on yelling out loud, as it was the last thing that was on my mind at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, none the less.

"Please! No! I am sorry brother! I did not mean to do it! I was just so angry!" I yelled out loud, as I waited for him to pounce on me, all at the exact same time as well, as I was fairly certain that it was going to be coming at any moment now, all at the exact same time too, as I shivered at the thoughts off all of that, all at once.

I stood there, with my eyes closed, and I just waited for a very long time, all at the exact same time too, as it seemed like time was going to pass for ever, all at once, as time just seemed to keep on passing, as if none of that had been real at all, in the very first place any ways, and maybe this entire day had just been one very long and strange dream for me, all at the exact same time too.

I all of the sudden just began to open my eyes, all at the exact same time too, as I expected to see that I was awake in the warriors den none the less, all at the exact same time as well, but when I opened my eyes, I saw that I was in a much different place than all of that, all at the exact same time too, as I was not all too sure as to just where it was that I was at, and how it was that I had even got to this place in the very first place any ways, as I knew that I had just been here, covered in blood.

The blood of my brother, none the less, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden began to start to look around, all at once, as I saw that none of that was there any more, and what it was that I saw in front of me was some thing much different than all of that, all at the exact same time too, as I saw that it was the scared look on the face of my mate, BreezePaw, how ever, as it was clear to me that she had heard each and every thing that I had just said.

I gulped, as I just stared at her with quite a bit of a blank look on my face, due to the fact that I was just not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, none the less, as I let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, and I then all of the sudden dipped my head quite a bit low to the ground, all at once, as I was quite a bit embarrassed about it, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that had even just happened to me in the very first place any ways.

I was not even all too sure as to just what it was that I had even said, or all that had even happened, if I was not going to lie to my self, as it sort of seemed like it all had just gone all in a bit of a blur to me, all at the exact same time too, as I felt quite a bit strange, and every thing felt quite a bit cold to me, all at the exact same time as well, even though I knew that it had all been warm just a few moments ago, all at the exact same time too.

I was not all too sure as to just how it was that it had even been warm, if I was going to be for real with my self, all at the exact same time too, as I could feel the cold breeze, and the wind on my fur, as I knew that the cold season was just around the corner from us, as all of the leaves had fallen at this point, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at once, as I then got my focus on the fact that BreezePaw too now had her head a bit low to the ground her self.

I was a little bit lost by it, as I was not all too sure as to just what it was that was even going on with her right now, if I was going to be serious with my self, in all honesty, all at the exact same time as well. I felt like there was a lot more that was going on with me, that I should be more worried about, but I could not help but be a little bit scared for the fact that my mate had her head so low to the ground, almost as if she was in pain right now.

It kind of got my focus off of all of the other thoughts that I had been having a bit longer before all of this, as I then all of the sudden began to slowly head over to BreezePaw, all at the exact same time as well, as I tried to comfort her, and I tried to calm her down, all at the exact same time as well, as I was trying to make her feel a little bit better, as I had not a clue as to just what it was that was even going on with her in the very first place any ways.

Just as soon as I got close to her, I saw her jump back a little bit, as if she did not want me near her, almost as if she was a little bit afraid of me, all at the exact same time too, which did in fact hurt me a great deal, as to just what it was that she had even done in the very first place as well, as I was about to dip my head a bit low to the ground, such as she had been doing, until she all of the sudden began to start to speak up to me, all at the exact same time too.

I was a little bit lost by it, as I still was not all too sure as to just what it was that was even going on right now in the very first place any ways, in all honesty, but I did in fact nod to her, to let her know that I was listening to her. That did not seem to do any thing to her how ever, as she just simply had her eyes squinted at me, all at the exact same time too, as she just continued to speak to me, with out nodding back. I gulped a bit, as I did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that she even had to say to me at the exact same time as well.

"I knew it wasn't BirdToe... It was You!"
