Chapter 14: Join Us

I blinked my eyes a few times, as it still felt like the sky was dark, and I could not see a thing, but luckily that was not the case at all for us any more, at the very least, as to the fact that the cloud had gone away from the moon after a little bit more time. It made PikeStar out to be a bit of a fool none the less, as a lot of the cats that were in the clan, had in fact kind of laughed at just what it was that he had even said in the very first place any ways.

It had got in to my head how ever, as to just what it was that he had even said for some odd reason or another, even though I knew that I really did not believe in the thing that the cats of the old clans believed in, as they believed in an after life, in which they liked to call Starclan none the less. It all just sounded like a joke to me, when I had been told the stories when I was little, as they said if you were not a good cat than you would not go there.

Now not a single cat believed in all of that, well besides PikeStar, but I felt like he was was simply just trying to scare all of the cats in the clan that we were in, all at the exact same time too, as I felt like he did not believe in the Starclan cats at all, all at the exact same time too. It was like my father had told me once, which was the fact that fear was used to control a clan, which was some thing he vowed to never do, all at the exact same time too.

Perhaps that was what it was that had led to the death of Shadowclan, as it kind of annoyed me what it was that PikeStar was doing, but at the exact same time as well, I could not help that it had in fact thrown me off a bit, even when it was that the moon had come back, and all of the cats could not see again, leaving PikeStar with his head a bit low to the ground, due to the fact that he knew that he had made him self look quite a bit stupid.

I did my best to try not to let in bother me all too much, but I kind of felt like I could not help it. I knew that BreezeFoot had joined up with the rest of the clan in laughing at PikeStar, but at the exact same time as well, I also knew that at first, the clan had not been laughing as to just what it was that he had said to all of us. I felt like I should just let it go, but it was kind of hard for me to do as such a thing, as it did in fact bother me quite a bit.

I knew that he was trying to scare us, and I really was not all too scared, if I was going to be for real with my self, but it still has in fact made me feel a little bit uncomfortable, all at the exact same time as well, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of those thoughts, all at once, as all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to calm my self down, none the less, as I tried to tell my self that every thing was going to be fine.

If I was going to be for real with my self how ever, I really was not all too sure if things were in fact going to be fine at all, as it kind of freaked me out to think on the fact of Starclan, as it always seemed to throw me a little off balance every time I heard that name said. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I got my mind, and my focus off of all of that, and I got my focus on some thing else than that instead, which was the fact that I saw that there was some light shining from not all too far away right now.

At first, I was quite a bit lost by it, none the less, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of those thoughts, and I got my focus on the thoughts instead, that had to do with the fact that there was a bright light shining for a good reason, as I knew that there was a reason as to just why it was that they called this place the Moon Pool, all at the exact same time too, as I blinked my eyes a few times, and I then stared at the place.

This place I had only been at once before in my life, as it was the last time that it had ever been used none the less, I was quite sure of, unless some other animal had been using it. RabbitNose had taken me and my brother here when ever it was that we had first become warriors, as he was here to make sure that we were in fact fit to become warriors. He told us that we would meet Starclan, but there was no Starclan to be seen in my dreams how ever, as I had been patiently waiting for them to come.

I sighed, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as RabbitNose had told us that if they had not come, than it was due to the fact that we were not worthy. I did not want to tell them that they had not come, due to that fact how ever. I got my mind, and my focus off of all of those thoughts once again, as it kind of felt like even more, that what it was that PikeStar had told us, was simply just being used to scare us.

I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of those thoughts, all at once, as I then all of the sudden shook my head once again. The pool was even brighter than it had been the night that we had been there, though I suppose that was due to the fact that we had not been here on a full moon, such as there was tonight, all at the exact same time as well, none the less. I knew that the moon had barely been out that night that I had last been here.

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I felt like I should not be worried about just how bright it was that the moon was right at this very moment in time. I got my focus on all of the cats that were at the pool right now, as I was quite a bit shocked by how many Thunderclan cats it was that I had seen at the Moon Pool, all at the exact same time too, as I tilted my head. I wondered if they too had brought their entire clan, or if they were really in that much of a better condition than we were.

Either way, there was a few more cats on Thunderclans side, than there was in ours, all at the exact same time too, as it really did in fact, not make me feel all too good about all of this, as it really did in fact make me feel quite a bit uncomfortable, all at the exact same time too. I blinked my eyes a few times, as I looked over at my clan mates, as I could tell that they were no longer thinking about friends, so much as they too were just as worried as I was.

It seemed like some thing just was not right in the air right at this very moment in time, but when it was that I did in fact sniff the air to be able to smell as to just what it was that it could be, it really did not seem like I could tell as to just what it was. I felt like we all were just over thinking all of this, and we were fine, as I then shook my head, and shook off all of those thoughts, all at the exact same time too.

I got my mind, and I got my focus on some different thoughts than all of that, which of course had to do with the fact that I saw that there was a cat walking over to my father right now, which I was a little bit lost as to just who it was, and just what it was that was even going on at first, until I then all of the sudden noticed that the cat was the leader of Thunderclan, which was FancyStar of course.

It seemed like things were going to be okay between us, but the sick little smile on the face of that she cat, seemed to be telling me other wise, as I shivered quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I felt like I really could not help but to be a little bit thrown off by it, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to calm my self down, all at the exact same time too, as I got my focus on some thing that was altogether different than all of that, none the less.

It was the fact that it still was FancyStar right now, but it was the fact that FancyStar, was now all of the sudden beginning to start to speak to all of us, or at least my father at the very least, as I then began to start to listen as to just what it was that she even had to say in to my father, in the very first place any ways, as I squinted my eyes at her, even though she was paying me no such sort of attention, after I did as such a thing, none the less.

"Glad you could come to join us at the gathering KettleStar! We have a few things we need to talk about!" She said to us all, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of those thoughts, all at once, and I got my focus on the fact that my father had in fact nodded back to her, all at the exact same time too, as it was clear that he was agreeing with her, and that he was in fact going to go with her to where ever it was that she was going to talk to him at, with the rest of the clans here to be able to listen.

I felt quite a bit uncomfortable once again, as it felt a bit strange as to the way that she had said it, and in the tone of voice that she had said it, all at the exact same time too, as I blinked my eyes a few times, all at once, as I watched my father go off with FancyStar. Luckily, it did not seem to be all too much of a trap how ever, as it did not seem like there were any Thunderclan cats trailing up the rear of them.

That made me feel a little bit better at the very least, as I then all of the sudden breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I did my best to get my mind, and my focus off of all of those thoughts, and I watched them head off to a some what tall rock that was not all too far away, as it was clear that they were going to speak to the clans from ho there, all at the exact same time too.

It was nothing compared to the one that was on the island, but at the exact same time too, I was kind of glad that we were in fact not on that island right now, none the less, as I still had the memory of what it was that had happened to my sister whilst she had been on that island, all at the exact same time too. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I then all of the sudden got my mind, my focus, and my eyes on just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, never the less.

I saw that all of the cats that were in Windclan, were starting to head over to the Moon Pool right now, though it did not seem like they wanted to go and join up with their so called friends any more how ever, as I saw that they were not even looking at any of the cats that were in Thunderclan, right at this very moment in time any ways. I blinked my eyes a few times, as I felt like I should not be worried about that right now, as it seemed like the cats of Thunderclan were paying us no sort of mind or any sort of attention either.

I did notice some thing that seemed to be a bit strange, as well as the fact that it was a bit odd to me, all at the exact same time too, as I blinked my eyes a few times, as I saw that they all had big smiles on their faces, for some odd reason or another. It was not for the reason that they got to talk to their friends from Windclan, if I had to guess, based off of the fact that they were not even looking at us right now, as I knew that it used to be that way, but I was fairly certain that was not the way this time how ever.

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I also shook my head, all at the exact same time too, as I did my best to try to get my mind off of all of that, as I sat down with my mate, away from all of the Thunderclan cats right now, and even away from the Windclan cats too, as I felt like the both of us just wanted to be alone right now, which I was perfectly fine with, and I was okay with that, all at the exact same time too, as I shook my head a little bit to my self, none the less.

I looked up at the small little cliff that KettleStar and FancyStar were at right now, as I could tell that my father was a little bit off right at this very moment in time too. It was clear that he could tell, just like the rest of the cats in my clan, that some thing just was not right, right at this very moment in time too. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as I felt like, all I could do was hope that things went okay, and that things went according to plan right now.

I stared up at the cliff for just a little bit longer, until I then all of the sudden, for some odd reason, heard paw steps from right behind me, which all of the sudden got my attention on that, as I was a little bit worried as to the fact that there was some cats that were about to sneak up on me, and attack me, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden spun my head around, in quite a bit of some fright, all at the exact same time too, as I felt like I really could not help but to be thrown off right now.

As I spun my head around how ever, I then all of the sudden began to notice that the cat was PikeStar, as it was no other cat. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I got my focus off of all of those thoughts, and I got my focus on the fact that he was really starting to annoy me with the stuff that he was doing, all at the exact same time too, as well. I knew that he had not intended to scare me, but it still got on my nerves, all at the exact same time as well.

I breathed in quite a bit of a heavy sigh to my self, all at the exact same time too, as I then all of the sudden saw PikeStar nod to me, all at once. I was a little bit lost by it, as I did not have much of a clue as to just what it was that he wanted to talk to me about, when there was clearly a gathering going on right now. I blinked my eyes a few times, as I shook off all of those thoughts how ever, as I felt like it had to be a bit important, based off of the look that was on his face.

If it was some thing that he felt like was important, than of course he would come to me, none the less, as I was in fact the deputy of Windclan. I stared at him with a bit of a blank look on my own face, as I just then, all of the sudden, all at the exact same time as well, began to start to nod back to him, to let him know that he had my full attention on him right now. Once it was that he had seen me do that, never the less, he did in fact begin to start to speak to me, a bit quietly, as I did in fact begin to start to listen to just what it was that he even had to say to me at the exact same time as well.

"Some thing is about to happen here... Be ready for it... I can smell it... There is too much tension..." He said to me, as I saw that BreezeFoot had noticed it, and she had heard it too, as she squinted her eyes at PikeStar, all at the exact same time as well. It was clear that she was simply thinking that he was just trying to scare us right now, as I then saw her look over to me, and shake her head over at me, all at the exact same time as well, as it was clear that she was telling me not to listen to him.

I felt like I wanted to not listen to him, just as she was saying, as I felt like that was all that he had ever been doing every since it was that he had come to our clan, which was of course the fact that it seemed like he was just trying to scare us. But I felt like, I could not help but to believe what it was that he had said this time how ever, as I felt like there was some thing quite a bit strong in the smell of the air right at this very moment in time, too.

I looked at PikeStar, with quite a bit of a shocked look on my face, for just a few moments, as I just seemed to ignore my mate, all at once, as I then all of the sudden nodded to him, all at the exact same time as well, to let him know that I was listening, as I felt like I wanted to hear some more for some odd reason or another. How ever, that seemed to be all that he really had to say to me, as I saw him squint his eyes at me, all at once, none the less, as I then all of the sudden saw him start to walk away from the both of us, all at once.

I gulped quite a bit to my self, all at the exact same time as well, as I did in fact feel quite a bit uncomfortable. I saw the look in the eyes of BreezeFoot, as it was clear that she was not all too happy with me, with the fact that she knew that I actually was listening as to just what it was that he had even said to me in the very first place any ways, as I then heard her let out quite a bit of a heavy sigh to me, all at once, as I then got my mind, off of her, as I saw her roll her eyes at me, as she then began to look away from me.

I saw that she was looking up to my father right now, as he was on top of the small cliff, as he was looking down on all of the cats that were below him right now. I could tell that he seemed to be a bit off right now as well, none the less. It felt like PikeStar had really got in to his head, with some of the stuff that he had said, as I felt like BreezeFoot might in fact be right with what it was that she was thinking about PikeStar right now.

I let out a soft sigh to my self, all at once, as I did my best to try not to think all too much on that how ever, as I felt like I just needed to have my focus, and my attention on just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time, which of course was the fact that my father no longer had his eyes on the cats that were below him any longer, as he now had his eyes on FancyStar, as he went on ahead and nodded to her, all at the exact same time too.

It was clear that he was a bit off to her as she could notice it too, as I saw it put a bit of a smirk grin on her face, all at once, as it was clear that she knew that she was already in his head. That meant that she could practically do what ever it was that she wanted at this point, as I gulped quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I prayed for my father right now, that he did not mess this up. I stared at the both of them for just a little bit longer, as I was about to get my eyes, and my focus off of FancyStar, all at once, until I then all of the sudden saw her nod back to my father, to let him know that she was listening as to just what it was that he had to say to her in the very first place any ways.

I was glad at that, at the very least, though I was not glad to see the look that was on the face of my father right now, as I was not sure if it was just a look that had him thrown off a bit, or if it was that he might be afraid right at this very moment in time. He told me that he was never afraid, but I was starting to think that what it was that he had always told me, was not true at all, how ever, all at the exact same time as well.

I blinked my eyes, as I did my best to try to keep my self calm, all at once, as I then all of the sudden, finally, did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of my father, as it finally felt like he was ready to speak up to FancyStar, all at the exact same time as well. I stared back over at my father, as I let out a heavy sigh to my self, as I hoped that he did not screw this up. I nodded a bit to my self, all at once, as I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he even had to say to the leader of Thunderclan, all at the exact same time too, none the less.

"So... What is it that you wanted to talk to me about then? I assume that it is some thing important..." He said to her, as I could see that he was moving his paws around quite a bit, as it was clear that he was a little bit off balance, all at the exact same time too. I was a little bit worried for him for it, as I felt like what ever it was that she wanted to talk to him for, she had an unfair advantage on him, as I felt like he had already given up, and he had already lost, all at the exact same time too.

I just had to keep on hoping that it was nothing that was all too had how ever, as I blinked my eyes a few times, and I once again began to start to breath in quite a bit heavily to my self, once again, as I did my best to try to keep my self calm through out all of this, as I knew that I needed to have at least some sort of faith that things were going to end up being okay when all was said and done.

That was after all, what it was that my other had taught me and my kin mates when we had been much younger, after all. I felt sick at the thought of that how ever, as I knew that one of my kin mates, which was my brother of course, had killed that same mother that had told us that exact same thing as well, as I knew that in return, I had killed my brother. I did my best to try not to think on that all too much how ever, once again, as I got my mind off of all of those thoughts, right away.

I got my mind, and I got my focus on the thoughts that had to do with the fact that I saw that even my own mate, BreezeFoot, seemed to be a little bit on edge right at this very moment in time too, as I felt like I could not help but to be a little bit off my self, once again, as I did such as my father had been doing a few moments before now, as I too began to move my paws around, in quite a bit of an uncomfortable move, all at the exact same time too.

I breathed in quite a bit my self, for once again, not the first time, as I got my mind, and I got my focus off of all of that, all at once, as I then all of the sudden, all at the exact same time as well, then got my focus back on the small cliff that was ahead of me, as I then all of the sudden saw that FancyStar then all of the sudden seemed to start to walk ahead of my father, all at the exact same time too, as I blinked my eyes just a few times, as I did my best to try to keep my self calm, as it seemed like she was being very disrespectful to my father right at this very moment in time, too.

I squinted my eyes at the she cat, as she had the exact same grin on her face that she had a few moments before all of this, all at the exact same time too, as I then saw her step up to the front of the cliff, as she stared down at all of the cats that were below her, as I then all of the sudden saw her nod to all of the cats, all at once, as well. I blinked my eyes a few times, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I got my mind, and my focus off of all of the thoughts that I had been having before now, and before all of this, none the less.

I looked at all of the cats that were in the clearing right at this very moment in time too, as I saw that the only cats that nodded back to her, were her own clan mates, as I saw that my own clan mates had their heads a bit low to the ground right now, almost as if they had guilty looks on their faces, right at this very moment in time too, for some odd reason or another. Normally I would be upset at me clan mates right now, besides the fact that I knew that I was quite a bit off my self none the less.

I continued to stare down at the ground, just as my clan mates were, as I then all of the sudden noticed from the corner of my eyes, that the cat of Thunderclan all them nodded to her, in a bit of a joint cohesion, all at the exact same time as well, as that too did in fact make me feel quite a bit uncomfortable once again, none the less. I moved around a little bit, as I tried to calm my self down, though it felt like it was a bit hard for me to do as such a thing, all at the exact same time as well how ever, none the less.

As it was clear that FancyStar had then all of the sudden seen her own clan mates nod back to her, as it was clear that they all knew what was even going on right at this very moment in time, in the very first place any ways, as it did not seem like she was even willing to give the Windclan cats a chance to nod back, as she went ahead and began to speak. I doubted that we were in fact going to nod back any ways how ever, as I shook my head, and I then lifted my head up, as I began to start to listen as to just what it was that she had to say in the very first place any ways.

"KettleStar, we are willing to make a deal with you... You give up your land, and everything in it, and you all become a part of Thunderclan... We know your clan is falling apart, so you may as well agree to the offer... You have nothing to lose..." She said to my father, all at the exact same time as well, as I was quite a bit shocked by what it was that she had said, all at the exact same time too.

I really had not expected to her that from her, all at the exact same time as well, as I gulped quite a bit to my self, all at once, as I did my best to try to keep my self calm right now, as I just kept my eyes on the cat, which I could all of the sudden see, that my clan mates had in fact heard, and they had in fact been paying attention on just what it was that she had even said in the very first place any ways, as I saw that they all had lifted their heads up, all at the exact same time as well.

I then all of the sudden began to start to hear quite a bit of fuss, and quite a bit of some arguing coming from my clan mates all the exact same time as well. I kind of felt like, a part of what it was that she had said, might in fact be a good idea, as to the fact that there were only 2 clans left, and we did not have all too many cats in our clan as it was right now any ways. At the exact same time too, I also shook off those thoughts, all at once, as I knew that it was a terrible idea.

For one thing, I knew that FancyStar was not all that good of a good cat, which I did not want as my leader, none the less, but there was also the fact that I also knew that the clan cats would not get along with each other, all at the exact same time too. I also did not want to go and live out in the woods for the rest of my life, either, as that just seemed like I was locking my self in a bit of a cage, as there was no where to go or see from me there.

I shook my head, as I shook off all of those thoughts, all at once, all at the exact same time as well, as I then all of the sudden turned my head away from the smile that was still on the face of FancyStar, right at this very moment in time, as I instead got my eyes on the fact of KettleStar, all at once, as I saw that he had his head a bit low to the ground, all at the exact same time as well. I was not all too sure about that, or if that was a good or a bad thing none the less.

I felt like no matter what the case was, it had to be a bad thing, none the less, as I knew that it was never good to see a cat with their head low to the ground, even if they were thinking. I felt like it was not a good thing, even if it was that my father was thinking in the very first place any ways, as I felt like there should not be all too much to even think about right now. The simple answer to what it was that she had told all of us, and him, should be the fact that he should say no.

A Windclan, and a Thunderclan together, just would not work all too well, all at the exact same time as well, never the less, as I then shook my head, and I continued to stare at my father for just a little bit longer, as not too much time after all of that, very much to my own surprise, never the less, my father did in fact lift his head back up from off of the ground, all at the exact same time too. I was glad to see him do as such a thing like that as well, as I saw him look over to FancyStar, all at the exact same time too.

She still had a bit of a smile on her face, until she all of the sudden saw as to just what it was that my father did next, all at the exact same time too. My father stared at her, right in to her eyes, as he then all of the sudden, shook his head to her, all at once, as a bit of a response to the offer that she had put on the table for him, and for the rest of the clan, all at the exact same time too. I saw the relieved look on the faces of my clan mates, as it was clear that they were paying attention, and they had seen it too.

I let out a bit of a relieved sigh to my self, all at once, as I was glad to see that my father seemed to be standing up for our clan, for once, all at the exact same time as well. Not too much longer after he did in fact shake his head at her, as a bit of a response back to her, my father then all of the sudden began to start to head to the top of the little cliff, all at once, as he then nodded to the cats that were below him, in the clearing right now, to let them all know that he was about to speak to us all.

It seemed to be vice versa this time, as to the response that he got, as I saw that the Thunderclan cats did not nod back to him, as it was clear that they were not all too happy with him right now. The Windclan cats how ever, did in fact nod back to him, in response, to let him know that we were all paying attention to what it was that he had to even say to us in the very first place any ways, as I was in fact one of the Windclan cats that had nodded back to him in response, all at the exact same time too.

I breathed in quite a bit to my self, all at once, none the less, as I just continued to stare at my father with a bit of a blank, and a bit of an empty look on my face, as he then did in fact, finally, never the less, begin to start to speak to all of the cats that were in the clearing right at this very moment in time too, though he did in fact have his eyes on FancyStar, as he spoke, as I then all of the sudden, began to start to listen as to just what it was that he had to say to all of the cats that were even at this gathering in the very first place any ways, how ever.

"Windclan will humbly say no too that offer... Whilst we might have lost some cats that were not loyal, we are doing fine right now, and prey is great for us... We thank you for the offer though..." He said back to FancyStar, all at the exact same time too, as he then began to look back to his clan mates, and he smiled at all of us, all at once, to let it be known, and to make it clear to us, that he was not willing to do easily give up on this clan right now.

I was proud of my father, never the less, if I was not going to lie to my self, as I felt that it was brave what it was that he had even said in response to FancyStar, but at the exact same time too, he was also being truthful, and he was not lying to her either. It was clear that whilst at times, it did not feel like it was the case at all to me, my father was in fact a very good leader of our clan, all at the exact same time as well, as I felt like I could not help but to crack a bit of a smile on my own face, all at the exact same time as well.

My father then moved back from the cliff, all at once, as he then all of the sudden turned his head over to FancyStar, all at once, as I could tell that she did not seem to have a very happy look on her face right now, as it was clear that was not the response that she had wanted to hear from him, in the very first place any ways. I felt like I could not blame her for not being too happy, as I was sure that she might have thought that it was a good idea when she had ran it through her own head, none the less.

I could hear a few Thunderclan cats hissing right now, as it was clear that for some reason, they too were not all too happy with the response that my father had given them, all at the exact same time too, as it was almost as if they did in fact want to live with Windclan, for some odd reason or another, as it felt a bit strange to me that they would feel that way, as I felt like I had remembered cats of other clans saying they could not stand the smell of cats from other clans, all at the exact same time too.

It all felt a bit strange to me, as I shook my head, doing my best to try to shake my mind off of all of those thoughts, all at once, as I just got my focus on just what it was that was even going on right at this very moment in time any ways. I blinked my eyes a few times, as I breathed in quite a bit to my self, once again, as I stared up at FancyStar, as I saw that she was just staring at my father, almost as if she wanted to hiss at him, just like the rest of her clan mates were doing right now.

She did not do as such a thing how ever, as she then all of the sudden then began to start to head up to the top of the small cliff, all at the exact same time as well, such as my father had done not all too much longer ago, all at the exact same time too. I breathed in quite a bit to my self, as I could tell that she was heated, but at the exact same time too, luckily enough for us, she was trying to keep her self calm, cool, and collected, as she went up to the front, and she then began to shake her head at her clan mates, to get them to stop hissing at my father.

Surprisingly enough, it actually seemed to work, even though I was sure that they too could tell that she was not all too happy with the response that she had got back from my father, in the very first place any ways. She seemed to just stare out in to the crowd for just a little bit longer, until all of the sudden, for some odd reason or another, she then cracked a bit of a grin on her face, all at once. I was a little bit lost by it, as I then all of the sudden saw her turn her head over to KettleStar, all at the exact same time too.

I blinked my eyes a few times, as I did my best to try to calm my self down a bit, as I stared at her with a bit of a blank look on my own face, as I saw her all of the sudden, instead of nod to my father, to let him know that she was about to speak back to him in response, she instead shook her head at him instead, very much to my own surprise, as I was a little bit lost by just what it was that she had meant by it, never the less, as well, as I tilted my head at her.

It was clear that my father was a little bit lost by it as well, as he too tilted her head by it, all at once. But FancyStar already had her eyes off of him, as she had her eyes back on the clearing instead, all at once, as she seemed to just stare at us for a little bit longer.
