The rest of the date had been uneventful with Maya and Nate sticking to small talk and sweet nothings.

It was clear to Maya that they were both exhausted by the heavy topics they had talked about earlier.

"Let me take you home," Nate offered as his car pulled up on the driveway.

"What about my car?" she asked as she glanced at the car the valet had brought up behind his own.

"I can ask your bodyguards to take it home," Nate told her, he gave her one of his charming smiles, wrapping an arm around her waist and pulling her to his chest.

He wrapped his other free hand around her waist as well and leaned down making their heads touch gently.

"I want to spend more time with you, be closer to you," Nate confessed.

She wasn't a fool and he knew it. That's why he chose to be honest rather than whisper a sweet excuse in her ear.

They were adults, after all, they had been intimate years before.
