With no bodyguard, no servant, or anyone else around, Viktor became the only one who had to stand through the night while the girl rested.

Viktor anxiously peeked out of the window from time to time and frequently checked the Djinn's sensor.

Every hour, the Djinn would remind him of the threats that passed the 3-mile radius. Sometimes, ghouls, critters, hellhounds, and even a group of flying gargoyles would pass, making his heart race.

He was a hundred percent sure that this place had a lot more creatures wandering around than all the places he had been to.

He could not help but constantly feel nervous with every hour that passed. Not to mention, his head was still spinning and his stats were still penalized from the facility's radioactive air.

Yet despite his condition, Viktor had to stay awake the whole night while paying attention to the sick girl.

To keep his mind out of worries, Viktor decided to check the burn injury on his arm.
