The event that took place this evening was equal to someone dying all over again and Alexander held the plant too dear to him. When they grew up he had fenced it enough to make sure no one would ever come to touch it. Only after a few years did the fence come out.

"You must be confused…" upon Lord Alexander's words, Penny pursed her lips. 

"Damien said why the roses are dear to you."

"It seems like my cousin doesn't hide things from you," commented Alexander and finally Damien cracked a smile which came from the corner of his lips.
