"Ezra,"

I weakly glance to the side. It's Juno, sitting by the chair while holding my hand. He sighed in relief. I looked around. Oh, this is my room. It's dark outside, It's already night time? All I remember was being angry with Amanda.

Amanda! She slapped Edgar!

"Edgar!" I exclaimed and forced myself to get up. Juno grabbed my small shoulders gently and push me back. He pulled the covers up to my chest.

"He's alright,"

"I know," Juno muttered.

I saw Juno's hands turned into fists. He's angry. But he looked calm on the outside.

"Then we should do something about it. She can't hit him," I said, furrowing my eyebrows.

"... Let me tell you what happened,"

Slap!

Edgar is still composed even after getting slapped. Unlike Leorys and Sehan who looked enraged.

"How dare you!" Leorys yelled.

"What are you going to do? tell your father?" Amanda asked, smirking. "Your father will return in three days. And that wound will subside before he returns,"

She harshly grabbed Edgar on the chin. "It's only a lady's slap. Like getting bit by an ant, isn't that right, Edgar?"

Edgar stayed quiet. He only stared into her eyes dead in the eyes. Amanda pushed Edgar's face away from her, Leorys and Sehan caught him. The twins glared at her.

Everyone stopped when they heard Juno's voice.

Juno is standing in between his brothers and Amanda. Amanda smiled sweetly.

"Ah, another one appeared,"

Juno looked over at Amanda. He looked calm like usual.

"Your actions are unforgivable. And you're right, we won't be able to report this to father because you're his sister-in-law, our mother's sister. Your help was great and father could sleep in early. And you are also a cunning person who can easily fabricate and destroy evidence. But when the time is right, I hope you're prepared, aunt Amanda,"

Juno's voice was stern, composed. But deep down he's furious.

Amanda smiled innocently.

Leorys and Sehan glared at her for the last time before turning around while holding Edgar's hand. The four of them walked out of the living room.

And their rage replaced with enormous terror when they saw Ezra is lying unconscious on the floor.

Amanda dared to hurt Edgar, meaning that she could hurt my other siblings. And I can't do anything about it. I can't. I clenched my fists under the covers, glaring up into the ceiling.
