Technique {D. E. S. 16}

***********Gideon's POV**************

*Out of every student so far, he had the best technique.

His upper body and lower body were twisted in the right angle and we're properly positioned to give a better attack.

His movement was properly refined, but to think that his punch force would reach 300 is mind-blowing.

He seems to have undergone a hell lot of training to be able to pull that off.

I doubt that's something raw talent can give you.

This guy is something special, a handsome young boy with no background and badass strength, and adding to that is his superior intelligence.

I think I've seen the main character of this story, and it turns out that I'm his self-acclaimed best friend.

Henry's performance was surprising, but that's not what's surprising me.

What surprised me was "How? "

How do I know all these things? Why does the concept of Martial arts seem so easy for me to comprehend and understand?

I forgot to mention that after I woke up which was two years ago, I found myself in possession of memories, skills, and techniques which are not mine.

And the weird thing is that I remember them so clearly. It's as if I possess memories of a person's past life and not just one person.

I think a bunch of people for that matter. The things I know are not my own gained knowledge.

For example, I have a friend who deals with all different types of weapons.

He has a training room and allows me to train with the weapons when I feel like venting out.

Now, this is where things get interesting.

Every single weapon I touched even though it was my first time holding a weapon after the two years I woke up.

I felt like I was holding a familiar thing, I knew how it worked and how to operate it to get my desired goal.

I don't feel like I'm learning how to use it, it feels too much like a memory, I'm remembering how to use it and I can do it perfectly.

"...eon! "

Are there things you just know how to do? Like no one has ever shown you but somehow each step in the process makes sense.

"... deon! "

I keep remembering it, but not learning it.

"Gideon! "

"Huh?" Snapping me out of my train of thought was the voice of the teacher.

The other students fixed their gaze on me and that made me uncomfortable since I hate attention.

"Yo dude what's up? You've been spacing out. You didn't even notice when I returned to my seat." Henry said

"Oh uh...sorry about that, I was just too surprised at your performance." I lied through my teeth

"Right? You couldn't have seen that coming, a handsome boy not smart but also OP (overpowered).

Yeah, I'm the perfect main character, the one who ends up getting the girls and having a harem." Henry said bragging.

"I think you'll even be more good-looking if you weren't a narcissist," I said.

"We're done waiting Gideon, come forward and let's proceed with your test." The teacher instructed with a stern expression.

Standing up from my seat I went into the glass cubicle and readied myself for my attack.

*I have a hypothesis, Although I'm not sure if it's going to make any sense, but, no harm in trying right?

I think that the force applied in a punch doesn't matter, what matters is the after-effects, that's the force of impact.

When a person uses all his strength to punch someone or something and the force of impact isn't making any much difference from the power implied, it's not an achievement from my point of view.

As for the lazy me who loves to reserve energy and still get my desired outcome.

I think what I need is a point that I'll punch and will send the shock wave all over the body, even without much force.

Research says that it's the forehead and fingertips that are the most sensitive to pain part of the human body.

Punching it will send enough pain shockwaves around the body of the person or dummy.

If I'm correct, then this dummy should be also built on that knowledge.

They are not just trying to check our punching strength, but how we calculate in a fight.

In a fight, a person who doesn't have energy loses, so they're testing how much we can achieve with a little strength I should try it out.*

Pulling back my hand, I punched the dummy's forehead.

Now, I didn't use force when pushing my hand forward, I only added a bit of force when I was about 5 inches away from hitting it.

Other students have been focusing on the abdomen, some even focused on the neck.

~Boom!~

The clashing sound of my fist against the dummy reverberated throughout the hall.

~Ding!~

My results are already out.

[173 punch force]

[256 force of impact]

Wow, I must say I'm impressed by my results.

Everyone doesn't see it, probably because my punch force is not as high as Henry's or Emma's, but I know what I achieved, if I am to start training this skill I'll do better in the future.

"And that's a pass for Gideon!" The teacher announced.

~Hmp~

Nodding in satisfaction, I headed back to my seat.

"Next, we'll start the duel and something interesting is going to happen," The teacher said.

The class started murmuring.

"The highest and the second highest in our last test Will have to face each other in this duel.

That means Henry will fight against Emma in this duel."

The teacher announced

*Things are getting interesting, aren't they?*

I thought to myself as I looked forward to the fight that would happen soon.
