Her mouth felt dry and body shivered by only seeing him! He was grandma's guest? Why would he be here. She remembered that maybe he is here for the orphanage problem.

Jake smiled at her as gesture, while taking some glances of her fresh bloomed face and than turning his head to Mrs. Stark.

But on the other hand Emily's mind was completely turned off! She felt like her heart will explode if he smiled again at her! She was drooling in her thoughts that she didn't even realized that her grandmother was summoning her!

'Emily Ryan Stark! Have you turned off your brain?' Emily's grandmother raised her voice so as to bring Emily back from daydreaming.

'Huh? Did you said something grandma?' Emily said in complete shock.

'Yes I called upon you! Where does your brain run away? Is this your conduct to receive your guests? How unruly is your nature! I try and try to make you an elegant lady but you always behave like your mother. Sure genes plays an important part! Sorry Mr. Knight you have to hear unpleasant conversation.'

'Please don't mind me!' Jake made himself detached from the situation.

Grandmother gave an strong glare at Emily.

Feeling guilty and unwanted, Emily said in low and gentle voice, 'Good morning Mr. Knight. How have you been this morning? I am sorry for not receiving you properly. Please accept my apology!'

Jake gave her weak smile 'Morning. I am fine. It's okay Miss Stark, you don't need to apologize.'

He said like he was writing some answer for exam with no emotion.

Moisture started filling at corner of her eye while she invited both of them for breakfast.

'Mr. Knight, Grandmother please come to have breakfast!'

Jake nodded in anticipation.

Feeling that she could not contain her emotions anymore she rushed away.

Seeing this Mrs. Stark couldn't help sighing 'God knows what will happen of this girl'

Jake only followed her grandmother to the dining hall, he didn't supported or objected to any of her comments!

Seeing the breakfast and table arrangements, Mrs. Stark fumed and knitted her eyebrows!

She said with more authoritative voice 'Is this how you prepare breakfast for important people!'

Cutting her in middle Jake concluded 'Thank You Miss Stark for a simple breakfast. I love having healthy and simple dishes for my morning course. Porridge is really good.'

'Thank you Mr. Knight. Please have some more. Don't be shy.' A shy smile spread on Emily's face.

She always wanted someone who would take her side without her asking! If also Emily's grandmother would dote on her but sometime she would hurt her with her changing temperament!

Due to her old age, sometime she would use old wounds to criticize her grandmother. The most popular subject to her was Emily's Mother!

After the breakfast, Emily started to clean up the table when her grandmother suddenly announced, 'For some upcoming days you shall be living at Mr. Knight's house!'

Emily was shaken from her root and butterflies started forming in her stomach! She was going to be sharing the roof with her crush. Was this feeling even real? Her face looked confused and surprised!

Jake excused himself from the scene 'I shall be waiting outside.' And he left without seeing other's reaction.

'Emily?' her grandmother asked her lovingly.
