Ultimate Speed

Nathan walks up to a large building with a red X on it. "Okay.... This place is bigger than I thought!" He said walking inside. He looks at the interior, and realizes just how spacious it is. "Good lord.... Hyper Speed must be loaded with cash to afford this place.". Right next to him someone says "Yeah, I really am.". Nathan whips around to see him standing right next to him. 'He didn't even make noise!' He thought internally screaming.

"And this is where you'll be staying for your time here!" Hyper Speed says opening a door, revealing a large bedroom. "Sorry if it's a bit spacious, but I tend to be a bit.... 'Quick' compared to other heroes." He said rubbing his neck. "Oh yeah! Before I forget, be sure to have your hero costume! Tomorrow, we start!".

"ALRIGHT!" Hyper Speed said standing on top of a building. Nathan went up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Hyper.... It's 6 am! How do you even have energy for this?". Hyper Speed looks at him and says "As a pro, you have to be ready for any time of day or night! I've got a challenge for you! Jackrabbit, I want you to catch me!". Jackrabbit's ears shot up and he said "Come again?".

"You've got until 8 am!". In a split second, Hyper Speed is out of sight, and gone. "H-huh?! Better get running!". Jackrabbit sprinted down the side of the building, and looked for him. He searched for a few minutes, before hearing an alarm go off. "Hyper can wait!" Jackrabbit said running to the bank. When he got there, he was surprised to see Hyper Speed there, already having solved the problem.

He turned to Jackrabbit and smiled. "Too slow~" He said speeding off. Jackrabbit ran after him, as they started running towards a brick wall. "AHA!" Jackrabbit said. Right before he hit the wall, Hyper Speed ran through it. Jackrabbit tried to slow down, but crashed into it. "AH!" He said holding his arm. Hyper Speed came around the corner running in place before coming to a stop.

"H-HOW?! You can't just run through solid objects!".

Skill- Warp Speed

He can run so fast that he can run on air itself, even going fast enough to launch himself to space before he slows down!]

"Aw, down for the count already? I'm more than certain a hero such as yourself can't just give up so soon!" He says. Jackrabbit gets up and runs to grab him, but he just passes straight through him. "WHAT?!". Hyper Speed walks over and helps him up. "Times up, which brings us to our first lesson: Speed shifting!". He helps up jackrabbit and says "Normally, I'd wait to teach this, but you're fast enough!".

Nathan removes his mask and says "Speed shifting?". Hyper Speed goes over to the wall, and focuses his speed. "So, how it works is the molecules in your body move slow enough so you don't fall through solid ground right? What I do is speed those molecules up, so that I can do this!". His hand vibrates a little. When it stops, he moves it through the wall. "You'd have to keep applying speed for longer duration, but besides that you can move through anything!".

He then turns serious and looks Nathan in the eyes. "ONE RULE! NEVER-.... Never stop shifting inside of a person. I've never done it myself, but I can say it's not a thrilling experience for the shift or the victim. Now lets start with something simple!".

The two entered a large area and Hyper Speed placed down a glass vase in front of Nathan. "We'll try glass for starters, and then move onto something else!". Nathan took a deep breath, and focused his speed on his hand. He touched the glass.... It fell over and broke, stifling a laugh from Hyper. "You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?". They kept at it for a few hours, until Nathan fell over and said "I-I can't. How do you make it look so easy?! I'm fast enough, so why-".

Hyper Speed laughed and for a moment, Nathan felt the urge to punch him. "There you go! First lesson about these powers.... Speed isn't everything! Guys like us.... We move so fast, we get so impatient and reckless, thinking the world moves too slow. However, sometimes you need to be able to slow down and think things through.... Can I tell you something?".

He runs off and pulls over a couple chairs. The two sit down and he removes his shades. "When I was young.... I had a teacher. Someone who was as fast as me! They wore these glasses all the time! But.... One day, when the two of us were training together, there was a villain attack. Of course, I rushed in ignoring my masters warnings believing I could do anything!".

He looked at the floor and twirled the glasses. "The villain.... Snapped both of my legs. I couldn't run from the fight, and even with my speed healing, I wasn't able to walk for a few weeks after that. So, my teacher ran in and sacrificed them self for my stupid mistake, only leaving my these shades.". He stood up and said "I took you in, hoping that I could prevent that mistake from happening to you, while also teaching you a few things!".

An alarm sounded, and the two got on their hero suits and ran. A building was on fire, and it wasn't going out anytime soon. The weird part? The flames were purple. "Shit- okay kid. I'm gonna run laps around this building, try to find the villain that did this, you go inside and evacuate civilians!". Nathan ran through the building, and after removing all the people, saw someone he didn't expect: Quake. "KATE!" He shouted!".

"Jackrabbit?!" She responded. In front of her was a villain made completely of purple flames, with glowing black eyes. "Aw, how cute~ The shaking girl has a pet! Does he know how to fetch?" She said. Quake started vibrating her body, trying to stumble the villain as she launched a burst of fire at her. Nathan started shaking her, shifting while running to her.

When the two connected, there was a large burst of electricity. A bunch of smoke went around them, and when it cleared, someone else stood in their place. A woman who was 5'11, two long mint pigtails with a pink stripe in each. A pair of black ripped shorts, a turquoise tank top, and tan skin with dark freckles on her face. When she opened her eyes, for both of them, one half of them was pink, the other turquoise. She also had black finger-less gloves on each hand.
