Chapter 14: Divide and Conquer

Hoseok stood there watching the crowd of females for a few seconds before his brain started to work again. He stopped one of the security guards that wanted to sneak past him.

"Get me a megaphone and an ear piece immediately." He whispered to him and turned his attention back to the crowd.

How was he going to divide and conquer this crowd? These ladies would trample all over each other just to get in this building first. The women stared at him and he gulped, luckily the security guard returned with what he had asked for.

Hoseok took the ear piece eagerly and placed it in his ear, he readied the megaphone but first he whispered into the earpiece, "Tae, how many interviews do you want to do today?"

"Hoseok, I think we should start with at least two thousand. I have sent someone with a table and some number cards."

Hoseok let out a breath of relief and the megaphone made a high pitched noise and his lips contorted into a big smile. "Good morning, ladies."

Screams filled the air once more and Hoseok took in a deep breath. "A table is being sent down, so that we can capture your names and allocate a number to you. We are only doing two thousand entries today and will continue from the list going onwards."

Some of the screams died down and there were a few murmurs in the crowd. Hoseok, did not like the way the murmurs were going but he continued. "So, if you all would be so kind and form a neat line for me."

That flipped the crowd in to chaos. Hoseok let out a surprise gasp and he screamed into the earpiece. "Tae! Get the security down here! They are going to eat me alive!"

"You do not have to scream, Hoseok." Tae replied calmly, "The security are on their way."

Hoseok turned to the doors which opened and the building's security filed out to help with crowd control. There were two that carried the table and a clipboard with numbers. The women went quiet and the shoving stopped and when Hoseok blinked they had formed a perfect line. Why was it when security gets involved that people started to listen?

"Thank you, ladies. Please fill in your name, surname, age and contact details on the form. The friendly security guard will give you your number." Hoseok said loudly over the megaphone and indicated to the table which was set up nicely.

The women slowly made their way to the table, it was going to be one slow process but Hoseok was determined to save Jin and his company. He had not forgotten what Namjoon had said a few minutes ago. There was a girl out there, she and Jin had chemistry and that was why they were here.

There had to be chemistry on the screen between two actors or the movie would fail. He watched as the second lady got her number and he let out a sigh. He was itching to get the latest scoop from Namjoon but it would have to wait.

"Hoseok, how is everything down there?" Tae asked through the earpiece.

Hoseok jumped and was brought back from his thoughts. "It is a lot more organized than it was a few seconds ago."

"That is good, I would like you to bring them in intervals of hundred."

A hundred? That was going to keep them here until... "Sure, I will bring them up as soon as I have the first hundred." Hoseok replied dryly.

"Good. Do not worry, you will see time is going to fly." Tae replied smugly.

"What do you mean? You know you are a perfectionist, Tae." Hoseok replied with a roll of his eyes.

"Jin is oozing chemistry at this moment. He is going to frightened half of the women out there. I can guarantee you that each session is going to be two minutes."

That was hard to believe. Jin would not do that... on the other hand he had learned that their competition somehow got their hands on their script and that there was a rat in the company. So, there might be the small chance that he might flip out.

"Fine, I believe you but would it be a problem if I take a lunch... say around twelve?" Hoseok asked innocently.

"Lunch? What is lunch Hoseok? I am sure we would be able to manage with out you but tell me what are you going to do for an hour?" Tae said smoothly.

Hoseok bit his lip before answering. "I am going to find some inspiration to recreate our movie."

There was a few moments of silence before Tae replied. "Alright, I will give you the hour and you better come up with something good."

"You know me, Tae. Have I ever disappoint you?" Hoseok replied and turned his attention back to the women.

The line was getting long and he walked to the first line, they were waiting for two more before he could take them upstairs. He wondered what expression would Jin wear when he saw how many were desperate to be cast.

"Well then, let us go up." He indicated to the doors when the last two joined the small group that counted up to a hundred. The security guards opened the double doors for them and Hoseok covered his ears when the small group let out small shrieks.

Jin had left the room where the auditions were going to be held. He needed a little time to himself. His tie felt like a burden across his neck and his fingers laced around it. He gave it small tug to loosen it and he turned towards the bathroom.

He pushed the door open and his breath became heavy, he fell towards the bathroom sink and looked at himself in the mirror. His brow glistened with sweat, he turned the taps and dipped his hands in the water.

"I do not think that I can do this..." He brought his hands towards his face and he gasped as the cold water touched his face. "I cannot do this."

The bathroom door opened, Suga leaned against the doorway. "You can do this. We know that you can."

Jin let out a sigh. "I am just so overwhelmed, how am I supposed to do this?"

"Hold your head up high and we will help you to get through this." Suga replied.

Jin let out a sigh and turned to face Suga. "I do not think I would have made it this far if it weren't for all of you."

Suga nodded and stepped back. "Then come and conquer your movie, Jin. Choose the best girl from the millions that have come."

Jin's breath caught in his throat. His mind had wandered to the waitress he had met in that small restaurant. She was fierce and she did not back down when it was needed to call him out. He shook his head, he had to rid himself of these thoughts. He had promised that he would never let another girl into his heart... Not after Minyu.

"Let us see what we are dealing with." Jin said proudly and walked out of the bathroom.

Suga grinned. "Now that is the spirit!"

They returned to the interview room. The small set they were going to use had been set up perfectly, Jin grabbed the script and stared at his lines. His heart was beating fast, this was the last opportunity to save his company.
