His Revenge

Mariela's POV

"I am sorry, Jerry, but I couldn't be with you to celebrate your win, and I know how much you want me to be there, but I have to cater many orders for this week," I said as I talked with Jerry over the phone.

He sounded so excited as he told me the good news, and I felt guilty because I knew I should be there for him, but knowing Archer would be there again, I opted to say no and decided to stay late in my cafe and work overtime.

I felt so happy that Jerry won because I didn't want Archer to be the winner, and I knew there was a part of me that I wanted my first love to win.

"Please, Ella," he pleaded.

"Jerry, I already told you I can't," I replied.

"Is it because of Archer? You can never get over him if you continue to hide from him, and all you need to do is come with me, and I will make sure he can never harass you." He declared, and I laughed and shook my head even if he couldn't see me.
