Lightning Strikes First

Opening his eyes, Kai yawned obnoxiously and then quickly quieted, remembering he was at Jinn's place. Rolling over, Kai smiled as he watched his sleeping boyfriend's face. Jinn either wore that infuriating poker face or he had that sexy mien of a smirk, it was only when he was asleep that he looked the sweetest.

Leaning over, Kai placed multiple kisses on his boyfriend's lips and Jinn pursed his lips together, becoming bothered by the sudden pressure to his mouth. Seeing that Jinn wasn't quite ready to wake up, Kai's smile turned into a smirk, his eyes squinted as he began to kiss Jinn's bare chest, his tongue circling around Jinn's budding nipple.

"Mmm.", a deep groan seeped through Jinn's lips even though his eyes were still closed.

"Good morning, babe." Kai paused his tongue action to say before going right back in.

"Ahh.", Jinn let out a soft breath before he opened his eyes, running his fingers through his boyfriend's dark hair.

Removing his mouth from Jinn's nipple, Kai's lips then made their way down Jinn's muscular abdomen, barely audible breaths escaping his lips back-to-back. Seeing the hard-on poking through the sheet, Kai smirked once more before he slid the blanket down, Jinn's long and thick member standing straight up at attention. Sticking his tongue out, Kai began to wiggle in it circles around his boyfriend's throbbing erection. "Mmm.", another deep moan slipped through Jinn's lips.

"Holy shit Kai.", Jinn finally spoke, his voice still deep and lethargic. Letting out a cute giggle, Kai leaned over, kissing Jinn on the cheek.

"Give me a minute, okay? I gotcha babe.", said Jinn as he placed a hand on Kai's back, rubbing his large hand up and down his boyfriend's soft skin.

"Take as much time as you need, I gotta run out for a sec.", said Kai, leaning down to kiss Jinn on the lips after he spoke.

"Oh? I thought we were going to breakfast this morning.", said Jinn.

"We are, it's just that your brother asked to meet me at that coffee shop.", Kai said like it was nothing, and Jinn raised a brow.

"What the fuck for?", Jinn said annoyed.

"He just brought a new building and wants me to look at some remodeling plans. We'll be meeting in public, so you don't have to worry." Kai said nervously.

Letting out a heavy sigh, Jinn rolled his eyes. He didn't want to be that controlling boyfriend when it came to Kai's work and Art had been on his best behavior lately, so maybe it wasn't such a big deal. "Be back soon, okay?", Jinn said softly.

"I will, let me go shower so I can get back to my baby!", Kai said happily, leaning over to kiss Jinn on the lips one last time before he got up.

First brushing his teeth, Kai quickly showered, got dressed and was out of the door as promised. Art had asked to see him last night, but Kai was too tired and replied that he would meet him the following morning at the usual spot.

As he drove, Kai began to feel a little bad for being a little dishonest, sure Art had actually asked to see him, but he had never said what for. As far as Kai was concerned, Jinn was home on paid time off, he didn't need to be stressed out about something as small as this and truth be told, Kai was a little worried about Art. The man had been keeping his distance and was oddly quiet since the night of Jinn's accident. Even though Jinn was fine, Art still had a mother dying of cancer, and to be honest, Kai was wondering if it all was starting to get to him.

Pulling up to the coffee shop, Kai let out a heavy exhale before parking and made his way to the place. In his heart, he felt that he was simply being a good brother-in-law so to speak, that was it and he didn't think it was such a big deal.

Deciding he had time to go to the gym before Kai got back, Jinn got out of bed, throwing on a t-shirt and some gray sweatpants. As he made his way out of his bedroom, a knock suddenly sounded. Quickly grabbing his sneakers and his phone, Jinn made his way toward the front door.

"Coming!", Jinn shouted, hurrying to the door when whomever it was had knocked again, but to his surprise, standing there was his older brother.

"I know I'm not one of your favorite people, but you don't have to look at me like that Jinn.", Art chuckled as he walked into the apartment.

"It's not that Art, I just want to know what you're doing here?", Jinn questioned.

"Business little brother is all, I'll be out of your hair in just a minute, I'm sure you and Kai have plans for the weekend.", said Art making his way to the dining room and pulling paperwork out for Jinn to sign.

"But that's just it, I thought you were supposed to be meeting Kai this morning at the coffee shop.", Jinn said confused.

"What?", Art said equally confused.

"You weren't supposed to meet him there this morning?!", Jinn asked again as he was becoming annoyed and concerned all at the same time, had Kai lied to him?

"No Jinn, is that where he told you he'd be? I swear I haven't talked to him in like two weeks!", Art said sternly as he pulled out his phone to show his brother that he was telling the truth, but as he opened his messages, his mouth dropped as the two brothers were both in shock.

"What the fuck is going on Arthur!?!", Jinn shouted, grabbing his brother by the collar.

"I…I don't...I don't know!", said Art completely baffled as he stood there looking at the message to Kai that indeed had a reply, a message that he had not sent or responded to.

Entering the coffee shop, Kai glanced around for Art, but he didn't see him. Thinking that he had beat Art there, Kai got in line to get his favorite iced coffee.

"Can I help you sir?", the cheerful barista asked.

"Yes, can I get a large, iced mocha latte, extra mocha and less ice?", Kai ordered.

"Absolutely, that'll be $7.79.", said the barista and Kai pulled out his card to pay.

After Kai had paid, he moved aside so the next customer could order. As he waited for his latte, the door to the coffee shop opened and footsteps walked up behind him. Feeling how uncomfortably close the person was to him, Kai began to turn around, but before he could, a sharp chin suddenly placed itself on his right shoulder. "I'm sorry I had to do things this way, but it's me that you're meeting with, not Art.", said a familiar voice.

Nearly jumping out of his own skin, Kai quickly turned around, completely off-put to see Allen standing there, with a pretty smile on his handsome face, just what the hell was going on?!

"Al..Allen?", Kai stuttered, the confusion on his face quite apparent.

"Why yes it's me.", he said, his smile growing even wider.

"What...what do you want with me?" Kai asked.

"I just want to talk Kai, can we do that?", Allen asked, that friendly smile never leaving his face.

"Large, iced mocha with less ice?", another barista shouted, and Allen walked over to take it before offering it to Kai.

"Take a walk with me Kai?" said Allen, his smile turning into that of a smirk.

"…", somewhat snatching his drink from Allen's hand, Kai scanned the tall attractive, but lanky blonde from head to toe, before furrowing his brows.

"Fine.", he answered grudgingly.

"Great!", said Allen, his smile increasing in size before he turned to make his way toward the door.

"…", although Kai was unsure, he followed Allen, it was only a talk after all.
