Change and pace

I have a date today. God it's been very long since I had a date. Alex wanted to follow the how-to-take-a-girl-on-a-date, as I said. He seems great. So today I have to leave for home quickly to change. Right home, I also have to move to my new house tomorrow. My stuff has already been arranged to be taken there today, mom is possibly at it right now. It means I should cover up tomorrow's probable deals today, which inturn means I should finish today's as quickly as I can. "Jill, call our afternoon clients and move their appointments early, then one by one do the same thing to waitlist candidates reserved for tomorrow to today as we finish, you got it? " she draws her mouth down and then readys herself. "All clear mam, should I arrange tomorrow's client's consultation with Kit and Ebona?" she gets up from the chair and puts down the files I told her to check. I nod, looking at today's clients profiles. "Alright mam, I think these might work fine" she leaves the room.

" Wow, you look amazing Dani" I'm wearing the fancy jumpsuit with glitter and glamour that it could fit. " Don't take you for flowers girl so. " he steps closer and gently lifts my hair and soft fabric is wrapped around my neck. His fingers are felt through the black satin. He buttons it. "I think it goes more perfectly than it should" he smiles proudly. I feel the cloth around my neck "thank you." He bows and kisses my hand, how custom. He draws his phone and clicks a picture for me. Ooh.. it's black and so avantgarde actually. Like my shoes. It does sit perfect. "You look fairly amazing too" I fix his lily shaped collar brooch. He's dressed in dark green trousers and really shiny shirt, satin in blue. "Dani, oh my! You look mighty handsome. Alex." mom smirks and gives him a warm smile. "Ms. Whelon" He says politely. Mom looks at me surprised, and smiles more sweetly, pleased by the address ". " Shall we?" he walks to my car. I laugh and he lays his hands open. I give him the keys. He takes them smiling. " You really don't a vehicle? " He grins. " I do, but your car should be in our date, she's grown on me" He kisses the steering wheel making me laugh. "But, he's male" I correct him. "o-oh I see, well he's handsome so" he kisses it again. Smiles victoriously as I laugh. He drives onto the road I take for my office. "Why are you switching lanes, continuously? He got in 5 different paths already. He grins and switches again " because that's supposed to be fun in romancing " Geez laugh, laughing and more laughter. We arrive at fancy club in Minor Ave. He get VIP pass as we walk right inside. The music is screaming with the highest tempo matching with the blinking lights. "Want a drink? we head to the bar. "Lime Mojito" I tell him, the bartender serves two glasses. We sit down in a private cabin. "Mojito has been mine new favourite" he drinks after smelling it. "It has always been mine" I take long savouring sip. "We should dance" he grins, the lights shadowing him. "you dance?" I can't imagine. he takes my hand and leads us to the dance floor. There's not much space people are swaying and jumping crazy all around. "whoa!" he is dancing! He got quite the groove. I join with the crowd and jump.

I catch my breath after jumping so hard, music got me all excited and Alex is a part guy on healthy level. "want another one?" he asks in my ear I nod. As he starts finding a way out of the crowd, the music slows down but definitely not a ballad. So I catch his arm and pull him back. "After this" I put my arms on his shoulders. He smiles in the dim light. We sway and occasionally mix a little moves joyfully. A few little groups cheer. "This is really good" he lifts my thigh to his waist then swings it back. "I know right" Soon the music changes again picking the pace back fast a little. The lights are focused on the dance floor now. So we head to the cabin, he moves ahead to get us drinks. "Is that your boyfriend?" A man leans on the wall sideways. Mm clubs. "Yeah, being single must be painful" I mock discreetly. Shoo, be gone now. "More things are there, more painful than that" he scoffs. I don't want to have a conversation with this anonymous. "Will you go away now, you're bugging me" I say in my commanding voice. He stands up, pauses for a whole minute then walks away. I have similar encounters with 2 more men, trying for women before Alex returns. "Was I gone too long, the bar got lined up" He puts down 5 glasses. We chat about my work, his accent etc.

"You want to eat something?" He opens the door for me. "No, I'm good" I keep my seatbelt as he gets in. "Okay. You like it here? he asks looking at the road. " Seattle. " oh. "Mmm it's good." I answer. "So you are moving tomorrow? Mind if I ask for the house warming invite? He smiles at briefly and looks back at the road. "Yeah but there is no house warming ceremony" I don't like people when I'm not settled in my mind. And besides I got no people actually, there's only mom, now Ram and Maybel. Who are all busy tomorrow for the right reasons. "Mm thank you, I can help you get settled in nicely" I smile "I'm sure you can".

I take of my seatbelt, I think I'm a little heavy in the head. The four mojitos are working in good condition. " Thankyou for tonight, I had fun Dani" He turns off the engine. "Me too" I mutter. He is a fun guy to be around with and nice. oh and a good dancer, not good friendly though, he didn't even answer when desperate girls were checking him out. "Good night" He says looking at my head. "good night" I reply. "Good night" He replies back. "Good night" I giggle, like mom. "good night" he smiles, but then looks at me gazing into my eyes. I bend and kiss. He closes his eyes calmly. His lips are full and small, I part them and get the taste of him mouth. lime and mint. He takes off his seatbelt in between and kisses back. "Good night Dani" he breathes out. I smile and get out. "Take the car, it's late" I say to him. "No, it's fine. Thank you. My cab is here almost. I'll see you tomorrow" He plants a peck on my cheek and hands me the keys. "Don't forget to bring me a gift"

He smiles, "I won't." I head to the door, lights are still on.
