Who is Benjamin

Chapter Three

_Who is Benjamin?_

Theodore.

"Sir, these are the reports from the branch in Portland. They said they are going through some bad situations and need our assistance here in WB. I told them I'll relay this message to you," Leo, my assistant said to me while I was having my bath. He knew that was the only opportunity he had to tell me whatever he had in mind.

As the CEO of ExoNet Energy, I expect nothing less than absolute comfort every day and everywhere. After my bath, I put on my bathrobe and went to the sitting room.

Leo followed me like a dog. I have told him countless times to walk by my side and be a gentleman.

I have worked with him for a while now and it feels awkward having him follow me around like one of the servants in the house.

"So, that is all? They need recruits in Portland. I thought they had someone over there that looked over stuff like this, what happened to him?"

"Turns out the person that was sent out of the company because of some illicit funds that were found in his account. They brought the situation to you but you just told them to do whatever they wanted to the person and he has been sacked. There's a portal that needs opening and he is the only one I think is capable of doing it."

"So, you are telling me we let such an important person out of our grasp? What exactly happened, tell me I wasn't paying attention the year it happened."

Leo looked away. " I am not sure of the details sir, I have been stationed here so I have no idea what has been happening over there. But I do have a friend there, he should have more details."

Leo didn't have any friends. None that I am aware of. I've also seen the way he looks at me, he's interested in men.

I sent him off and checked the case that was brought to me that year. It was still in my cabinet upstairs in my room. I never opened it.

I thought it was minor stuff and just told them to do whatever they wanted. Now I need this particular man in the company, no one can do the things he can do.

Eventually, when I get him back to the company, I plan to promote him here in the HQ. It's better to have him close.

Checking his profile, he was a well-experienced man who worked for my father in his company. He left the company when my father died and came to my company.

Who is he? Why has he been in my family history? More reasons why I have to bring him back, do more investigations, and see what I can do with him. In the meantime, I should find a way to bring him back.

Lisa called me, my younger sister. She said she has been having some issues with her fashion show company. Lisa started crying on the phone, begging me to drop by her house.

"By now, you should be able to tell me to come over instead of faking those tears." I humphed and hung up. She always did that whenever she wanted something.

I went over to her house. Her servants bowed as I walked by. She ran and hugged me while I was in the hallway.

"Why are you putting on heels in the house Lisa, I'm sure you are going nowhere," I said, glancing at her seven-inch heels.

She was dressed as if she was going to some dinner awards ceremony. I shook my head. "You should start charity instead of buying dresses and wearing them at home. There are people out there that need those clothes."

"I just bought this. It costs a hundred grand. You expect me to give some random person a hundred-thousand-dollar dress?"

I sat on the couch and greeted Miles. The mastiff licked my hands, it's been a while since we both met. I haven't seen Lisa since my father died. Mom is somewhere overseas, she doesn't want to come back.

Her maids brought out a chunk of dresses. "Why do you think, which of these dresses should I wear to the company tomorrow? I need to meet some men and I don't know how to relate with them. It's going to be a hot time for me. I have been trying to partner with this designing company but they keep turning me down."

Miles sat on the couch and rested his head on my lap, rolling over and putting his legs in the air. I played with its fur.

"So, which company are we talking about exactly?" I asked.

She sat down beside me, stroking my hair. She wants me to force them to work with her. It's a piece of cake, I love doing those things.

"Grundel. They kept on refusing me. I tried to buy clothes from them but they turned me down. They said I wasn't worthy of buying anything from them."

"They said so?"

She nodded. "I'll take care of it. How's your boyfriend?"

The mastiff stood up and waited on the chair staring at me and Lisa. I laughed, he knows something. I looked at Lisa. "How is your boyfriend?"

I saw her cheeks turn red and it made me smile. "What happened? Tell me."

"He…proposed. We are getting married soon."

Raphael is becoming a big man indeed. That bastard, I warned him not to fall in love with my sister. how did I not notice the ring on her finger?

"I'm glad. Keep me updated."

Miles barked. There's something she's not telling me…they had sex already. At least, I won't be questioned about how sex feels anymore.

I watched my little sister smile as she checked her new clothes. Her happiness matters a lot to me and I would do anything to keep her this way.

"What about you, have you found a girl yet?" She asked.

"Not yet, but soon. Trust me."

Leo called me. He said he found his friend Philip. I knew his friend would be a man. Out of everything he told me, the girl part was the only part I grabbed.

Lisa, my soon might be sooner than yours.
