High School

"Mom? Are you awake yet?", I ask.

"Drive yourself today. I don't have the energy to drive you today.", she says, still half asleep.

"Ok...bye."

"Hurry. Don't be late on your first day."

"Right. First day.", I say, trying to erase all the nervousness from my mind.

When I arrived school, my friends were already waiting for me.

"Eliza! You're here!", Eve happily exclaims.

"Finally. You're always late. There's a new kid at our school.", says Kate.

We talked and talked about the new kid as we walked to the Juniors Wing.

"He's so hot!!", Kate says, blushing.

I roll my eyes at her. She thinks every guy is hot. Her standards aren't very high...Eve saw me roll my eyes and she started laughing.

"He really is. He's also in our grade. Hopefully we'll have the same class.",Eve says through laughter.

"Yeah. Sure. You're both in Mr. Henry's class, right?", I ask.

They both freeze and loom at me, their eyes wide. I already knew what they were going to say by the expressions on their face.

"Mr.Henry? Are you sure? We both have Mr. Hale as our home room teacher. Please tell me you read your schedule wrong!", Eve says, her eyes dimming a bit.

"Nope. I've read my schedule thousands of times. It's okay though, it's only three hours. At least we can have lunch together.", I say, my heart dropping a bit. " I should probably go, his room is all the way on the other side of the Wing." I walked to the room with my head down and accidentally bumped in to someone. When I look up, I'm amazed to see the most handsome face I've ever laid my eyes on...frowning down at me.
