Chapter 8: I'll Take Care Of You

Sky's POV

Now that Alexa knows that I'm sick she become so much caring. She cling to me like there's no tomorrow. Although I'm happy that she's clingy to me, I still can't stop thinking that she just do it because I'm sick.

But I don't tell her that I might hurt her. We are now strolling at the park then suddenly I feel dizzy.

"Are you okay Sky should we go home? She said looks like she is worried to me

" Nope I just feel slightly dizzy but I'm okay dont worry Lex" I said then I give her a reassuring smile.

We continue to walk at the park then suddenly a dog bark on us I think the dog runaway from its owner.

"Ahhh Sky" Alexa shout then she hide in my back.

I just laugh on Alexa because she get scared on the small dog. The dog continues to bark but a girl suddenly get her.

"I'm really sorry I kinda let go of her leash" a brown girl said

After the girl get the dog Alexa immediately compose herself like nothing happend

"It's OK just next time hold her leash tightly" I said

"Baby Addison why don't you wait for me I said I'm just going to buy coffee for us Oh hey Sky" suddenly Olivia appeared then she cling to Addison's arm

"Ah hey Olivia" I said

"Hey Sky this is Addison Mitchell my girlfriend she is also in first year like Harper and Riley" she said she have a girlfriend but she is a play girl

"Nice to meet you Addison I'm Sky by the way and this Alexa Smith my girlfriend" I said then we shake hands. Alexa just smile on her.

"We should get going Now bye Sky bye Alexa" Olivia said then they leave the scene

"You look so scared earlier Alexa" I said with a teasing voice

"I'm just startled" she defense

"If you say so" I said we continue strolling at the park.

After 20 minutes I drive her to her house and I kiss her before I leave.

I went home and find my mom and dad watching some TV show.

"Hey mom and dad" I said then I sit beside mom.

"Hey sweetie how's your date with Alexa" Mom said

"It's nice mom but I think she become so much clingy after she know I'm dying and I don't like that I want her treat me like before" I said

"Just let her Sky it's her way to show how much she love you" dad said.

I don't answer him I just smile then I go to my room.

A month after

I was walking with Alexa in the school hallway. She is a little grumpy today because she have her monthly period. And she is not talking to me.

"Hey Lex what do you want to do tomorrow it's holiday" I said

"You choose Sky last time I'm the one who choose remember" she said

"OK so let's just have a picnic at the park?" I said

"That sounds good I will bring the foods you bring the drinks" she said finally she is in mood.

"I hear food what's going on" suddenly Rośe appears

"When it comes to food you can hear it miles away" I said

" Alexa Sky is teasing me again" Rośe said to Alexa

"She's right Rośe if someone is taking about food you can hear it miles away" Alexa said that makes Rośe pout. I just laugh on what Alexa said

"Both of you is so mean" she said

"Can we invite Rośe to our picnic tomorrow Alexa?" I said

"If she is available" Alexa said

"Wow really your inviting me sure I will come" she happily said

"But you need to bring food also because if we are the only one brings food definitely you will eat it all" I said

"Sure thing just text to me where is it because I need to go to library I will secretly look at Irene that's arranging some books. " she said and she ran away.

"She is still not talking with Irene?" Jennie ask

"Yeah but I already said to her that's its now okay to talk to Irene because Irene certainly miss her right now but she said Irene needs to approach her first" I said

"Ohh Rośe really do what you said back then" Alexa said

"Yeah she is." I said

"What if we invite Irene also but let's not tell her that Rośe is coming" Alexa said

"That's a good idea" I said.

The class hour is know over. I drive Alexa home but I don't go home immediately. I will meet up with my best friend from Thailand today. He is Ethan Scott . He promise me that he will accompany me when I buy a puppy for Alexa.

I though if I buy a puppy for Alexa she will overcome her fear of dogs.

When I park my car I immediately go inside of the mall. I see Ethan sitting in one of the bench of the mall.

"Hey Than long time no see" I said then I hug him. He hugged me back

"Long time no see Skylar " he said as he broke our hug

"How many times do I have to tell you that just call me Sky " I said

"Haha ok Sky" he said

"Let's go to the pets store now" I said

The pet store is not far where Ethan sit so we immediately reach it.

As we enter we saw a lot of kinds pet but a brown puppy caught my attention.

"Hey Miss what is the breed of that brown puppy" I said as I point to the brown puppy that caught my attention

" That's Pomeranian puppy they are typically friendly, lively and playful. And they also a really smart dog. Are you going to buy that puppy ma'am? " the sales lady said

"Yeah I want that puppy" I said

Picnic Day

I don't pick up Alexa on my way to our meeting place because I can't reveal my gift to her yet.

I just made up some excuses so I will not pick her up. And I think she is a little mad at me.

Alexa's puppy is sleeping at the shotgun seat. He is sleeping peacefully.

A few minutes later I arrive at the park we suppose to meet. When I arrive they all already here. They are sitting on a bench.

Alexa is on the middle of Irene and Rośe. And Rośe is not talking but the two is chit-chating about something.

I get the snacks and drink from the passenger seat. I don't bring the puppy first but I make sure the aircon is on.

"Did all of you wait long?" I said

"Not at all Sky" Alexa said then she kiss my cheek

"Ohh PDA can we just first find a spot for our picnic" Irene said

"Sorry let's go" I said

A few minutes later we find a good spot for our picnic. It's under a huge tree and it's near the mand made River.

We set up the blanket then we all sit. Alexa and me is sitting next to each other. Rośe is on my side and Irene is on side of Alexa.

"I'm hungry let's eat" Rośe said

"OK I'm also hungry" I said. We eat the food that we brought. Oy me and Alexa is talking because Rośe is still not talking to Irene.

"Ah I'm so full" my girlfriend said

"Me too" Irene said.

We just rest for 20 minutes then suddenly Irene wants to play badminton.

"Hey Sky play badminton with me" Irene said

"I'm not in the mood unnie maybe Alexa" I said

"Let's play" Alexa said then she whisper something to me

"Talk to Rośe while we are playing convince her to talk to Irene" she said

"Ayaih Captain" I said then I salute to her. She just laugh then she start to play badminton with Irene.

"Hey Sky why didn't you say that you are also inviting Irene" Rośe said

"Alexa invite her not me" I said

"Oh ok you can't do anything if Alexa said because your so whipped" she said

"No I'm not. Change topic. Why are you not still not talking to Irene?" I said

" Hey don't change the topic" she said

"Juat answer the question Rośe" I seriously said

"Geezz there's no need to be serious OK I will answer now. I just can't talk to her I avoid her for almost 2 month's. For no reason maybe she will never like me back. Maybe I should stop what I'm doing. Maybe I need to move on now. She never try to talk to me ask why I don't approach her anymore. She never do a thing. "she sadly said then a tear escape from her left eye that she immediately wiped

" Don't lose hope Rośe" I said then I pat her back

"What are you two talking about it looks serious" suddenly Alexa appears with Irene

"Ah its nothing right Sky" Rośe said

"Yeah it's nothing" I said

Irene and Alexa sit again on the blanket.

I stand up

"Where are you going Sky?" Alexa ask

"I'm just going to get something on my car want to come Lex" I said

Alexa immediately stand up. And start walking with me.

"What do you think will the two of them finally talk" Alexa said

"I don't know Lex Rośe is starting to give up on Irene" I said

"Let's just give them time I'm sure they will figure it out." She said

We finally reach my car when Alexa's puppy see me he suddenly bark that make Alexa startled

"It's OK Lex he is just excited" I said

"It's that yours Sky" she said

"Nope it's yours Lex" I said

"What you know that I'm scared of dogs Sky" Alexa said

I get the puppy and hold it. I try to give it to Alexa but she suddenly shout.

"It's OK Lex it's OK trust me." I said

She slowly hold the puppy then suddenly the puppy lick her hand.

"Look he likes you" I said

"Does he have a name" she ask

"Nope Not yet" I said

"I will name him Archie then" she said then she finally carry Archie.

I just smile to her then we go back to our picnic place. Then we see Irene hugging Rośe.

"It looks like a lot happen when we are gone" Alex said

We just silently sit near the tree and watch the two talk.

Alex start to play with Archie they look so cute. I lay down while my head is on the top of Alexa's lap.

While Archie is sleeping near her. I took out my phone then I start playing some games. Alexa stroke my hair.

"Thank you for always taking care of me Sky you help me overcome my fear of dogs. I love you Sky" she said

"I love you too Alexa" I said then I look on her eyes

"From now on I'm the one that will take care of you" Alexa said then she kiss my forehead.

I wish my live will be long so you can take care of me forever. But that will never happen because I will surely die soon.
