14 What makes her happy...

Yuna's POV

"Are you kidding me?"

I asked Mr. Seiji with a surprising reaction in my face while looking up.

He returned a very serious look at me.

"In romantic stories in order to save the princess, the lead character must surpass extremes obstacles. In order to prove you are true with your intention to our precious Lady Lure, you must climb from here up to her room."

All the men in black suits just nod to what he said while I and Mikan look at him confounded.

What is he saying? I thought this is so Mr. Shiroi will not discover I am here. Does he know about me and Miss Shiroi? I look up again and wow it's really high from here. Is he crazy this is not a fairytale? If I fell there...surely I'm dead.

Right now we are standing in a very huge garden. This place is full of flowers and bushes. There are vines in the wall at this side of the mansion up to her room. I may be able to use them to go up there.

"Yuna, you will still go am I right?"

Mikan asked as she stands behind me. I turn my face to look at her. She avoided my eyes.

"I can only wait here for you. So please be careful."

I feel bitterness in her voice.

"Mikan you don't have to worry because I will be okay..."

I said smiling at her then I return my eyes to Mr. Seiji.

"May I change my clothes first? You see, it's not comfortable to climb up there with my school uniform."

****** a few minutes later.

I changed my clothes to a white shirt and red pants that they gave to me.

"Are you ready now?", Mr. Seiji asked.

"Yes.", I answered loudly.

"Just one more thing. I guess it will be better if you will also bring flowers there" Mr. Seiji suggested.

Hmmm? I also noticed that they have lots of different flowers here. Probably he is right. I think giving her a flower will be a good idea...

"Ah if it will be ok Sir?"

"You got my permission. Just pick whichever you like."

Mr. Seiji replied in a straight face again. He is so weird.

I pick a white rose and immediately put it in my back pocket. Then I get ready to climb up.

As I climb up I began remembering again Miss Shiroi's sad face. The time when she cried on her knees. I never thought that she has been so lonely since childhood. If I have known her past... I should never have taken her words lightly, like when she said she is in love with me and asked me to become her lover. I should have never agreed to that. I can't be that person for her we are both girls. I need to be honest with her. I really want to make her happy. So I have to help her find the right person.

Time has passed and I did not notice I finally reached the balcony of her room. I jump inside and try to look in the window. There is a curtain inside so I can only peek through a gap. Her room is so huge and full of expensive things like paintings, antique vase, dressers, and shelves but somehow it's all plain and feels so sad inside.

"Miss Shiroi...Miss Shiroi..."

I whispered while knocking lightly on her window.

I checked the window and its actually open.

I entered quietly on her window. I turn my head and there she is. Lying on her bed wearing a white nightdress. It was just almost sunset is she asleep already. I come closer to check her.

Once more I am entranced by her beauty. She is so pretty that she makes my world stop just by looking at her...

Uh! I notice tears in her cheeks. Did she fall asleep while crying? I feel something in my chest. Is this pain I feel in my chest while my heart beats so fast?

I walk towards her side. I bend down to reach her face to wipe her tears with my hands.

"How did you get in here?"

She talked to my surprise then she rose up.

"Uh? I came here to talk to you. I might have said something that hurt you earlier."

"That did not answer my question? How did you pass through our guards? They could have killed you?"

Is she worried about me then why is she back being cold at me?

"Well it's not really easy but Miss Shiroi what important is..."

"You are so stupid... I don't need you to come here."

Why is she so mad at me.

"Miss Shiroi, can you at least tell me why you are so mad at me?"

She just remained quiet.

"Are you serious when you broke up with me?"

She looks at me in shock when I asked her then she turn her head away.

I have to tell her now. I think this is the right time. We can still be friends after this. I will do my best to become a very good friend to her like Mikan and me. Then I can help her find the right person.

"I want to say that..."

I want to say that it's alright we can still be friends but she suddenly embraces me tightly.

"No, I never want that! Please don't break up with me...please!"

She said while crying in my shoulders.

What should I do? I promised I will help her to be happy. I should not say words that will hurt her again.

"Then we should do it properly."

I said putting my hands in her shoulder pushing her a bit so that I can look at her face.

Now, what should I say? Why do I feel so nervous looking at her very pretty face?

"Will you go out on a proper date with me?"

I don't want her to be alone again. So I must do at least this to make her happy in the meantime.

"Yes." She answered with a smile.

It makes me feel relieved.

"Uhm? But what makes you angry again, Miss Shiroi?"

She stops and when she thinks she blushes a bit.

"Uhm...that is...will you stop calling me Miss Shiroi? I am your lover so you should call me by my first name and also that guy this morning. I know I can't do anything about your past but is it true you are still in love with him?"

So that's it...that's her reason.

"Ah...you could have asked that before. I just used to call you that way so I'm not sure if it will be ok to just call you by your name...sorry Mi...ah! no... Lure."

We both look away as our faces both turn red when I say her name.

"And how about that guy?"

She has this prosecuting look in her eyes as she stares right at me

"Akira is now only a part of my past... I am no longer in love with him."

I replied straightly.

She exhaled after.

Uh! before I forgot. I reached for the white rose behind my back and I give it to her and it really put a big smile on her face.

"Yuna...you know, I will always trust you."

I just smiled back at her...

-tok! tok! tok!

Eh! There is someone knocking on the door. Could it be? Oh god! don't tell me he already discovered I am here...

*** a few moments later

"I'm so glad you look better now My lady."

Mr. Seiji said bowing to Lure.

"Did you let her in because of me..."

"Well since Master Iwato is not here I just let her in for you."

What is he saying? He did not let me in. Also, I and Mikan almost died there in fear because of them, and did he said Lure's father is not here then why the hell he asked me to climb up here? He said it was to prevent Mr. Iwato from seeing me. Did he just deceive me?

I look at him wanting to voice out what he actually asked me to do but he looks back at me with terrifying eyes. Like he is saying I'm dead if I talk back.

"I think you are tired now and also Lady Yuna. Let me send her out for you."

"Thank you, Mr. Seiji. I think you are right. We still have classes tomorrow but let me be the one to send her out. "

Lure replied then Mr. Seiji glare at me again...

"No Lure...just please stay here. I'm fine! I will just go with Mr. Seiji."

I insisted to her as Mr. Seiji glaring at me to death.

As we go out...

I was surprised when I open the door. All her servants and guards are waiting in front of her door.

They all look so furious at me.

The chef came to me holding two large knives. "It's you...you don't like what I cook?!"

He said striking the two knives to each other.

So he is the chef, he is so terrifying...

***A few moments later.

When I went out of Lure's room they all brought me here in their very large kitchen.

Mr. Seiji force me to seat in front of him in a table facing each other. He glares at me with his very sharp eye while every one surrounds us. Why am I in this situation again? When will this end?

"I'm really glad you made it to her but I have to be clear now to you. Lady Lure is very important to all of us. We knew our places in this mansion, we are all servants here. We don't want to go against Master Iwato her father so that we can stay here also for her. We all been watching over her as she grew up even though each of us keeps our distance from her."

I'm so glad to know she is not all alone.

"I was really amazed when I heard you talked to Master Iwato. You have even been able to change his mind about his daughter. I never thought that there can be someone who can bravely face him and talked to him."

"Ah that is, probably my luck..."

"Surprisingly you are a girl and most of all even though this is really hard for us to believe you made our Lady Lure fall in love with you."

The chef butt in hitting his palm on the table.

"Eh! You know that... Um actually..."

How they found out about us?

I am so nervous the way they are all looking at me is like wanting to kill me.

"You better not make her cry again or else..."

All guards raise their guns. The chef and other kitchen staffs raise their knives while all the maids showed their fist...

I have a feeling I just dig my own grave...I just swallowed hard.

"I hope you will remember this..."

Mr. Seiji ended.

As we walk home together Mikan somehow became so quiet.

"Mikan are you ok?"

I asked walking behind her.

She stopped.

"I don't feel talking to you so don't ask me."

She said in a very bitter tone then she walks so fast.

She is really mad at me

"Hey, now it's you...Why are you suddenly acting like this?"

"You made me so worried there. So don't talk to me. You acted more stupid there than when you are with Akira. How could you risk your life over and over again for that girl?"

She said as she walks faster leaving me behind. I chased her. I run faster so that I can go in front of her to face her.

"Wait! I'm so sorry Mikan for making you worried so much. I just want to help and I really hate seeing people around me getting hurt. I know you also know that, that's why you stay with me... so just forgive me please!!!"

I said with my palms put together.

"I will think of it first..."

She replied then she looks away.

"Please Mikan... You know I won't be able to stand thinking you are mad at me..."

"You always make me like this since the day we met."
