Chapter 1: The Morning After

The sound of the alarm blaring through the house woke up the boy on the large bed, his mind groggy as he raised his hand to the bedside table, trying to find his phone so he could turn off the alarm clock.

Dunk had a splitting headache, his mind was foggy and he couldn't remember which of his younger brothers had changed his alarm tone to this ridiculous blaring that was loud enough to wake up the whole neighborhood.

"Ugh…" A groan escaped his lips as he couldn't find his phone. Where had he placed it last night? He usually always kept it by his bedside table, with the charger cable attached to it.

However, that was when he heard another groan from beside him…and the slide of skin on skin as a hand moved across his bare back.

His eyes opened instantly, any vestiges of sleep fleeing from him mind as he took in the unfamiliar surroundings.

He wasn't in his room…this didn't appear to be his house.

Dunk swallowed as he looked down at himself, feeling the cover slide over his bare skin once again as the person beside him groaned and moved, the alarm still blazing like a fire truck siren…

Comprehension began to draw as memories started to return…

There had been a party at someone's house last night…and his friends had decided to drag him here to help him relax after the end of their semester finals. However…there had been someone at that party that he hated…had hated since the very first day of his University life… Joong Archen Jirawatthanakul…the boy who like to challenge him at every possible turn in his life…

He remembered a drinking competition and unable to pass up a chance to beat him…and in all foolishness…he had had a few too many shots…a good too many glasses to count. And the result of that was that the rest of the night was a complete blackout…almost…

Because now, he felt sore all over and there was a vague recollection of having someone's lips on his…soft yet rough, tender yet firm…and most definitely not a woman's…

Ai shiaaa!

Dunk sprang up from bed, his eyes wide in horror as he ignored the ache in his lower half and looked at the person beside him.

His mouth fell open on a soundless gasp. In all his worst nightmares, he couldn't have imagined what he was waking up to this morning, or who he was waking up next to…a very muscular…and a very naked…Joong.

Yes, he knew the guy was fit. He had seen him shirtless on the soccer field plenty of times. Seen girls drool over him as they waited in line with water bottles and several other drinks for him to choose from.

But how could he have imagined that one day, he would be lying next to the very man he hated with all his guts? That too…naked and…

He couldn't say it…he knew exactly what had happened between the two of them last night, his body was telling him about it just fine…yet, he couldn't even think about it, let along say the words out loud.

Making a quick decision, he jumped out of bed and found his clothing scattered all over the floor, along with those of his arch nemesis.

He snatched his underwear from the floor, putting it on first and then proceeded to the rest of the clothes. He needed to hurry because now, he was starting to panic as well. The sound of the alarm coming from downstairs sounded eerily similar to a fire alarm and if the house was really on fire…he didn't want to be caught dead, naked and lying next to his enemy.

But just like last night, luck didn't seem to be on his side this morning either, because the next instant, Joong let out a frustrated groan and sat up in bed, rubbing the sleep from his eyes as he yelled out. "Oye Fourth! Stop playing around will you! Stop the damn alarm!"

Dunk paused midway while buttoning up his pants, his shirt slung over his shoulders that he hadn't had a chance to put on yet. And just like a horror movie…Joong turned to look down at himself slowly, taking in his state of undress and the covers that were lightly thrown over his waist to cover his modesty…before he turned his head and his eyes landed on Dunk, his eyes bulging out of its sockets almost comically.

"Ai shiaaa!" Joong pointed a finger at Dunk accusingly. "What the hell are you doing in my room?"

"Ai Hiaa!" Dunk snapped back, fixing up his pants, ignore the soreness. "I should be asking you that question! What did you do to me last night?"

"What the fuck are you talking about? What did I…" As if realizing what just happened, Joong looked down at himself and then back at Dunk, repeating the process several times as the events registered in his foggy mind. "Shia!"

"Shut up!" Bending to scoop what he presumed Joong's underwear from the floor, Dunk threw the piece of clothing at the other person's face. "Stop cussing and go find out who set your house on-"

But before Dunk could finish that sentence, the alarm cut off just as suddenly as it had started, leaving both boys bewildered and looking at each other in astonishment.

"Phi?"The sound of a young girl's voice came from right outside the door, followed by a knock, startling the boys yet again. "Phi Joong? If you're awake…Dad and Papa want to see you downstairs immediately…"

"Shia!" Joong muttered under his breath, jumping out of the bed so he could don his clothes as fast as he could. "I'm up. Tell them I'll be downstairs in a minute."

Joong heard footsteps retreating and knew that his sister has left the hallway, but now he was sure he was going to be screwed over big time. Not only had he thrown a party while his father's were away for the weekend, but he hadn't expected them to return a day earlier. And now…he understood just why the fire alarm had gone off like that…it was his Dad's doing and he was pissed.

"You need to leave through the fire exit." Joong told Dunk, pointing towards the window inside the bathroom. "No one can see you walk out of this room."

"Aarai wa?" Dunk asked him incredulously, while buttoning up the last few buttons on his shirt. "You want me to go out the fire exit like some kind of thief?"

"Would you like to go out the front instead? In front of my parents? Should I ask you to stay for breakfast?" Joong answered curtly, putting on a pair of shorts and a T-shirt from his closet. "Go! Quick! Before any of my brothers decide to barge in!"

"Fucking hell!" Dunk cursed at Joong, wanting to punch him right then and there. But he had more pressing matters to deal with. "Show me where to go!"

Joong took him to the attached bathroom and opened the window wide enough so that he could exit easily. The window wasn't huge, but if Joong with his muscular figure could go out through it easily, then so could Dunk. After all, they were almost the same size.

Dunk brought one foot out the window and placed it onto the metal platform outside, followed by another foot. And then he was dunking his head out the window and landing onto the fire escape. He looked down to see if anyone was looking at him from the houses next to them, and thankfully, there was no one yet…at least anyone that he could see. So he took the stairs down to the ground floor and hopped off the rest of the way before looking left and right to make sure there weren't any people as he sprinted across the lawn and was out the main entrance of the house in a heartbeat.

It didn't take him long thanks to his longer strides, and once he was outside the property, he headed straight for his car that he could see parked outside the house, right towards the end of the boundary wall.

Ducking his head, he made a run for it, thankful that he found his keys and his cell phone inside the pocket of his jeans once he placed his hands inside it. He saw another car approaching from the other side and the man in the driver's seat appeared somewhat familiar. Pond…Joong's younger brother.

Ignoring his curious looks as if he hadn't seen the younger boy, Dunk unlocked and hopped into his car, breathing a sigh of relief only when the other car didn't stop to question him, but continued on to enter the house.

"Fuck!" He ran a hand down his face in frustration, wiping away the sweat from his forehead and neck. "Fuck!"

He couldn't believe it. Not only had he slept with his arch enemy…but he just ran out of his house via the fire escape like some bloody thief…

He was so screwed!
