You're Courting Death!

Co-Posted on Scribblehub under the same name. Crappy Synopsis Below..... It was a bright sunny day when it happened..... When Yun Xie arrived in that other world. A world of flying cultivators and ancient ruins. A world, unlike any other... The one where the Dark Crow flew across the Nine Realms, and that one filled with more young masters than you could count. Where cliche tropes were a new reality, and no one had a inch of common sense or logic. Good thing he brought with him some overpowered (Albeit a bit cringy) cheats. It would be good fun. Some parts are sort of copy and paste, I really can't do much about it because I want the MC to be part of the main storyline, as that is fun..... If you wanna get to the actual story, go to volume 2. Update: When I feel like it.... Disclaimer: For the most part, many of the characters and such don't belong to me, besides OC''s and such. I can't write these types of stories...... A haven for Plot Holes......

Chapter 2

Yun Xie walked through the bustling market. After training for a while, he decided to head back to Leaping Stone City, a prosperous merchant city under the administration of the Nine Saints Demon Gate Sect…..

As of now, Yun Xie lived in a small comfortable inn at the edge of the city, thanks to the wealth he had "liberated" from some bandits, and a few non-sociable fellows….

Yun Xie nodded to the innkeeper, who smiled. Yun Xie was a pretty nice but lazy fellow, who had pretty much made the inn his permanent residence.

He walked up to his room, stepping inside and lighting a small candle.

Soon, the faint smell of smoke wafted through the room, and the previously dark room was now basked in dim light.

Some of the more wealthy inns and hostels used much more luxurious, "Spiritual Fire Lamps" or whatever, but Yun Xie was content, for now, staying lowkey would only do him good….

He sat down on a mattress, his legs spread out. Yun Xie yawned a little. He was running a little low on pocket money so in the name of "justice", he would go beat up some bandits…. Well, tomorrow at least, as for today, he would just have dinner and then go to sleep.

Though there were many things that could allow him to just stay awake all night, there was a certain charm to sleeping that some losers could never appreciate….

Getting up, he checked a small cabinet. Inside, were all his funds and other stuff that he used as money. In the cabinet was a bunch of copper and gold coins, along with a few refined Jades.

Scooping up a few coins, he put it inside a pouch, and left, leaving the small inn, and into the city….

Walking through, despite almost being nighttime, the roads were still bustling with people. Walking around, he found a small shop.

"Boss! The usual!" He told the shopkeeper, who nodded. After living here for a while, Yun Xie was pretty acquainted with the area, which was full of good restaurants and other places.

One of the servers brought him a cup of green tea, which he graciously excepted. This shop, though pretty popular among the commoners and mortals, did not appeal to cultivators, who usually went to the three main cultivator establishments around the city. The first restaurant was the Drunken Gorge, the second, Crystal Deer Palace, and the third, the Roasting Dragon…

Each one had many different specialties, the Drunken Gorge, serving mostly Spiritual Wine and pot roast. The Crystal Deer for its many pastries and other elegant dishes, and The Roasting Dragon, for its marvelous selection of spirit beast meat. Of course, all of these, only cultivators could eat, as otherwise, due to some random xianxia bull, you would explode…

Yun Xie could consume those, as the amount of anime and manga abilities that had to do with food were countless.

"Your food is ready!" A server slammed the food on the table, before briskly walking away.

The restaurant was pretty busy after all…

The food of this world was pretty good. A lot of variety, the dish he had ordered, was grilled chicken rice, with a side of beef soup.

While Yun Xie ate, he went through the practically endless list of anime abilities and such in his head.

Due to his [Spam] and [Bypass] ability, he could basically use certain skills indefinitely. A few of the ones he always kept active were, "Godspeed Reflex", "Thou Shalt Not Die", and "Observation Haki".

Godspeed Reflex, because it would help him react and use abilities more quickly, Thou Shalt Not Die, because it literally kept him alive, coupled with [Spam], was pretty overpowered. Observation Haki, because it would help make Godspeed Reflex smoother, and more concise.

He did not keep on too many passive skills at once, because Yun Xie was a pretty laid-back person, who did not have many enemies. Also, it was more fun activating theme in the fight, for an element of excitement, for himself, and probably shock for the enemy…

If "Thou Shalt Not Die." did not work out, he would just use "Full Status Recovery" from Solo Leveling, "Physique: Zombieman", or some other scuffed abilities.

Chewing on some rice, he looked out, this world truly was wonderful. It felt as if he had stepped right into an Ancient Chinese Drama…

Kids played in the streets, eating candied apples and such, burly men carried heavy loads of rice, oxen threaded down the street, the atmosphere was very busy and lively….
