You're Courting Death!

Co-Posted on Scribblehub under the same name. Crappy Synopsis Below..... It was a bright sunny day when it happened..... When Yun Xie arrived in that other world. A world of flying cultivators and ancient ruins. A world, unlike any other... The one where the Dark Crow flew across the Nine Realms, and that one filled with more young masters than you could count. Where cliche tropes were a new reality, and no one had a inch of common sense or logic. Good thing he brought with him some overpowered (Albeit a bit cringy) cheats. It would be good fun. Some parts are sort of copy and paste, I really can't do much about it because I want the MC to be part of the main storyline, as that is fun..... If you wanna get to the actual story, go to volume 2. Update: When I feel like it.... Disclaimer: For the most part, many of the characters and such don't belong to me, besides OC''s and such. I can't write these types of stories...... A haven for Plot Holes......

Chapter 24

(A/N: Short filler chapter for no apparent reason..... I usually don't write on weekends so is this a bonus...? Dunno.)

A Few Minutes Later….

Nan Huai Ren's jaws dropped as on the grill, sizzled three giant heavenly slices of meat.

One of them was Garara Gator meat, giant steaks of gator shining with fat, Rose Meat, a type of meat, that looked exactly like a rose, its meat petals sizzling and releasing an aromatic yet also savory smell. The last slice of meat was what had Nan Huai Ren and Li Shuangyan completely stunned. It was a small chunk of meat, but it shone brilliantly, illuminating a good part of the training ground, the meat looked sort of gelatinous, akin to jello and its mellow aroma spread throughout the sect.

As the long group of beaten disciples limped down the Martial Hall, they could smell something, actually a few things. It was meat. Though some still ate food, others had not eaten it for years on end, due to not having to, and cultivation stuff. The group soon got to the bottom of the Martial Hall's steps, walking in the direction of the meat instead of their adobes. Curiosity could do many things….

Finally, they made their way to the empty field, looking at the billowing smoke rising into the air as Yun Xie expertly turned the sizzling meat.

A random more courageous disciple came over, completely avoiding Nan Huai Ren and Li Shuangyan. "Umm….. Can I have some…Please?"

Yun Xie debated for a bit before remembering the whole Toriko "sharing spirit" thing. It would be fun with more people, and he could create an infinite amount of meat anyway.

"Sure." Yun Xie smiled warmly.

One Hour Later….

The previously empty field was now filled with lively dancing disciples, all eating lots of meat and cabbage.

"Senior A'Te! Can I have more?"

"Senior A'Kai Er! Please...…"

"When can we have…. That meat?" One of the disciples, whose mouth was still stuffed with meat, pointed at the sizzling aromatic Jewel Meat that illuminated the evening sky.

Yun Xie smiled, waving the dude away. "It'll be done in a few minutes…"

None of these plebians had a shred of cooking skill so sadly, he was the one who had to handle everything…. He could create clones but that would be a pain…. Li Shuangyan was actually quite enjoying herself, save a few lecherous idiots, the rest of the disciples were fixated on the meat, which honestly, she couldn't blame.

Due to constant pestering, Yun Xie decided to get them to drink for now. He hoisted ten barrels of strawberry lemonade into existence and gave some of the less idiotic disciples a few instructions. Soon, a lot of random disciples were toasting lemonade like it was wine or something….

As things became even livelier due to the lemonade, a few Elders came over to see the commotion.

"Speak! What are you disciples doing!" One of the Elders asked a frozen inner sect disciple, who smiled sheepishly.

"Senior A'Te is hosting a party at the moment!" The inner sect disciple bowed, pointing in the direction of the grill and the heavenly meat.

The elders looked over conflictingly at Yun Xie, who was grilling the meat.

On one hand, they were Elders, and had to be role models of sorts and follow the sect rules…. But on the other, were there really any sect rules against this? Parties were extremely rare in this sect after all, and the meat smelled heavenly….

Duty and gluttony…. Which one to choose…? Well, it wasn't really a duty, as the Sect Elders did not have any important assignments, and no rules were being violated at the moment…..
