1 Hell on Earth

*Step*

I am running through the shrubbery of the forest and held my bow with my right hand keeping it to my side. Slowing my sprint I forcefully slowed my breathing from sprinting for 5 minuets straight. Holding my breath steady I looked through the trees and saw my prey.

I made sure my entire body was out of the deer's sight as I peered over the tree raising the bow and drawing as arrow from my quiver I let lose on the deer.

*Wisp*

The arrow flew through the trees before penetrating the deer's flesh as it fell on its side the arrows fletching pointing up. Walking over I kneeled and placed my hinds together.

"Your sacrifice was not waisted"

I spoke softly as I did something father told me to say after every hunt. I at first was very confused, he said that this was to please the gods and that this deer will fallow the natural path of nature. I simply do this out of habit now.

Placing the bow over my shoulder I picked the deer by the horns and dragged its heavy body through the woods. After 15 minutes of walking I finally arrived at my village where I then gave the deer to the butcher who gave his thanks before silting the deer's neck then hanging it upside down on a wall along with some other wild life allowing their blood to flow through their body and out their neck.

I walked through the village as I began to walk home. My home is located In the middle of no where. We decided to Isolated ourselves from the rest of the world like others before us have done.

As I walked through our large village I would hear those who would say hi towards me, it didn't bother me, after all being the son of the chief others would naturally say their hellos not to mention that everyone knows each other in this village.

Walking up some stone stairs I arrived at my families home. Pushing the doors I can see my mother in the front as if waiting for me.

"Hello honey, how was your hunt" My kind mother said struggling to lift herself from her seat.

" It was successful mother" I said quickly helping her back down on her wheel chair.

"Sorry honey, my legs aren't what they used to be" She said with an airy laugh as she sat down on her chair.

" It matters not if your legs work or not. Your my mother after all,I would not be the person I am today without you" I said as I embraced my mother in a hug then wheel her out to enjoy the beautiful day.

"Take me to the training grounds. Watching you in combat brightens my day" She says as I simply comply and begin to wheel her away. Mother then begins to talk about a subject little sensitive in.

"Honey you know your coming of age is today, and with that your time to sit as the tribes new chief." She said glancing at me with her bright blue eyes

" I am well aware mother, but I feel as if I'm not ready I have the world to explore and my own horizons to expand. Father and the others of the council consider me ready yet I....don't know." My words turned soft as I glanced at the ocean that was far from us yet so large you could see it from any where.

"It isn't only the council and father everyone thinks your ready. Even the children who can barley speak think your ready. You are stronger then anyone else in the village, you are the most disciplined, patient, and kind. Not to mention the most beautiful do you know how many marriage request I have had to turn down because of you. " She said with a sigh at the end.

Mother said at the end was something I was well aware of. I have long silky black hair that reached just below my neck, pure blue eyes like a clear lake reflecting the blue sky, a slim but muscular body a result of my training, along with pure skin without any flaws.

Blushing at my mothers words I retort by saying

"And its not what someone looks like that determines their worth or being." I said Blushing lightly

"I never said your looks I meant your soul, you never looked at others and determined theri entire person just by a look. You judge a person by their personality. Not to mention your no sissy who prefers to hide behind someone." Mother said with a snicker.

Arriving at the training ground that are currently empty. I halted mother giving her a close view to my combat.

Grabbing two blades I cross them other my chest as I take a deep breath before I tighten my leg muscles dashing at a dummy I did a wind slash as I dance across the other targets that have been placed randomly every 3 meters from one another.

Like a dance, my blades like the wind, the very swords were nothing special, it was Yone's technique that are able to slice down the dummies with ease. After slicing all the dummies I place the blades away and walk back to mother before taking the both of us to the ceremony where I will be named chief.

It was a quiet walk as I pushed mother to our destination. my mind only on the event he is to participate in. I clenched my fist and prepared for my future.

(Cliff side where mc will be named chief)

"Ladies, and gentle men, thank you form coming this fine evening. As you already know today is the greatest day for today I will name my son chief!!" My fathers grand voice reverberated through the air as 200 people all gathered today just for me.

*Cheers*

"If my son would be so kind as to come up here" My father said as I began to walk up the stairs where I am greeted by the sight of my mother and father along with the councilors and their families.

I then stood before my father, our sides to the rest of the people. I looked at my father in the eyes with a serious expression.

Do you Yone take the mantle of chief and swear to defend and lead your people." My father looked at me with an equally serious face.

"I-"

*SCREEEEEECH*

An ear piecing screech echoed through the air before a bird the size of a plane created a shadow over the ceremony.

Soon quills bigger then a person rained down on us killing some who were beneath the stairs. Then roars echoed before the forest 100 meters from us I could see a wave of creatures black as their skin white is their armor.

I had read about their existence and even hunted a few. But never this many nor some that where bigger then buildings.

My fathers face went pale he glanced at everyone and then the stone table at his right.

"Son I need you to do something." My father said grabbing a very large sword that laid on the table and a strange mask.

" what is it father" I said in regency, as he placed a large sheath and mask in my arms

"I....I need you to run." He said his words didn't make sense I don't understand.

My breathing was erratic but then I closed my eyes and looked at my father with a cold and emotionless gaze.

"Ill see you later father" I said with a empty voice as I dashed into the forest and thicket of trees that led to no where

The chief couldn't help but chuckle as he saw his sun run like no tomorrow, well... if he stayed their would be no tomorrow.

Standing by his wife he drew his weapon as he looked at his wife with loving eyes.

"Honey...I love you" He said with a gentle voice

"I love you too hubby" She said as she drew a pistole and assault rife from her wheel chair.

They screamed as they rushed towards curtain death.

That day had bathed in blood in the tribe so many screams you would think that....
